you need to download  BIOS from you card,  edit 4 fields  raising them by 25% (for example) and flashing  BIOS back.  above given link to raise PL in  hive OS - everything is there

done only that I raised  hashrate from 2.2-2.5 to 3-3.1 on rx470/rx570 4gb

but if you have a strong undervolt in  BIOS, you may also have to raise  voltage, in my case, only memory timings were simply stitched for ETH

I increased PL by 25% in  BIOS, set  core frequency  1250 , left core voltage as  is,  hashrate increased from 2.5 to 3.1 on 470/570
core consumption at 470 100 watts, at 570 130 watts

to get 3.3 i should to raise  core frequency and voltage ? 570 will eat 150 watts ?

there is everything you need) how else would raise  power limit without modifying  BIOS in hive os

I do not expect Windows version, but it will appear and not necessarily from  author of this miner - and then this idea will lose its meaning and we will again mine  ETH - so why change  BIOS ?


see my posts above-2.2 to 3.15 MHS 70-110 watts but I can't set  core frequency because I can't raise power limit in hiveos without modifying the BIOS.

you mean OC in hiveos ? seems like we cant set powerlimit in there, any  other settings does not matter
type rocm-smi in console you'll see  consumption, I'm sure you have an extremely low

I thought about it, but all cards have ETH bios mode and do not want to change it because  future of this miner is unknown
I think soon it will all be in Windows and hiveos officially

2.8 it would not be bad but I have 2.2-2.5 on some rx470/570:) but apparently there is some connection with power consumption and core voltage and core clock. how to set powerlimit in hiveos (ubuntu) ?

when I put  factory boost core  frequency, for example 1244 it is not set, instead I see 1100 (or something like that) as if the powerlimit is set too low

example : rx470 factory boost 1230 if in overdriventool powertarget set to 0% core clock drop to 1167 instead of 1230
but if i set powertarget 25% , clock freq set correctry - how i can do it in linux ?

setting core and memory frequencies does not change anything at all
so it's not about memory or frequency

I thought about it, just an unfortunate coincidence that I decided to try on two free GPUs and they both Elpida, both ETH bios mod, on the ETH 470 gives 28mhs 1200/1900, 570 gives up to 30 on 1167/2050

rx 470 4gb and rx570 4gb elpida about 2.5-2.6 hashrate

tried different memory and kernel frequencies less or more - nothing changes how  get 3.3 mhs ?
