I deposited some coin for one year, why the estimated date is more than one year? thanks!

There was an issue with the estimated date:

"FIX - Issue #41 Estimated date was based on 154 second block time instead of 120 second"

What @maxente mentioned I think it'll be still valid, but with a very tiny variation.

The new release is going to be awesome. See ya.

Love you guys, however, I think that with "no halving", the "price" of ROI Coin will be always going down. See ya.

I could not disagree with you more.

I have had to work with dev teams to undo halving that was coded at launch and yet on down the road turned out to be a problem.

The reason pre-determined coding for halving at launch doesn't work is because when you launch a coin you can't know the future and so you can't know at what point it will need to be halved in the future. Then next thing you know all the miners leave the coin in the dust because the halving cuts the profit down so much nobody will mine it. This coin is designed to be mined for roughly 30 years and so it is critical for the health of the blockchain that there is enough of an incentive to mine the coin.

If this coin ever needs to be halved it will be halved at that time as needed... and not from launch. It will be halved when the community consensus and hard data dictates it and not at some pre-determined date from the time the coin was born. I chose to do it this way because I learned from watching other coins that made this very mistake.

Thanks for the explanation, I got it!

Actually I thought may I was saying bullshit, my bad, I'm relative new to cryptocurrencies. My thought was that with no halving, the price of ROI will be all about network hashrate and difficulty, so after 10 years for example, if the network hashrate goes down for any reason, people mining would get the same as 10 years ago, which doesn't look good for me as an early adopter/hodler. That's it. Cheers!

Should be cheaper if you buy Ethereum and send it to Coinexchange. Then sell Ethereum and buy Bitcoin there. Then buy HODL-Coins. Withrawing was very cheap on Coinexchange.

This was my way with 25 $.

Thanks!

I don't know the exact btc fees but 10$ is a very small budget. You first have to check in which exchange you want to buy the BTC. There will be a fee for buying BTC and perhaps a fee for credit card or something else. When you then transfer the btc to coinexchange you have to pay a fee for transfer. On coinexchange you have to pay a fee for buying. When you transfer the coins to the wallet you also have to pay a fee. So it could be little bit frustrating when you start with 10$ and only get a few coins in your wallet.

So perhaps it would be better to start with for example 50$ if you can. Cool

You got my point, that's what I'm talking about, 10$ was just an example.
Thank you so much!

Hey guys!

Is there anyway to buy a little amount of HOdl like 10 dollars, just for playing with, using BTC?

If so, how much of fee I'll pay for it? Will it worth it?

Thanks!

Yes, you can buy it from here: https://www.coinexchange.io/market/HODL/BTC

Worth playing with? - depends on what you want to play with it. football - maybe not, trading - possibly! Cheesy Cheesy

LOL, hehehe

Actually I meant to buy HOdl with BTC, because I don't know how much I'll pay of fee for that small transaction, so if I pay 9 dollars for example, it won't worth it, right?
I have never used bitcoin yet, but I figured out that it'll be about 3 dollars at max, so I'll take a look on it.

Thank you!

Estimated date is far away from correct date, for example, I made a deposit to 365 days in January 29, 2018, and it's estimated to May 13, 2019 which is 464 days by today. Is everything ok?

Yes everything is okay. When you do a term deposit the release date is based on the block chain having a block run every 2 minutes. Well because of the MIDAS algorithm and difficulty adjustment the block timing tends to run more than 2 minutes and last time I heard it was averaging something like 142 seconds.

When we think of time we think in hours, days, weeks, months etc. But the code thinks in terms of so many blocks. The code doesn't think of 1 day as 24 hours but rather it thinks of 1 day as 720 blocks. The code doesn't think of 1 year as 365 days but rather 262,800 blocks.

If you term deposit for 1 year you are term depositing for 262,800 blocks and it will take longer than 365 days for that many blocks to be added to the chain because the blocks are happening slower than 2 minutes if that makes sense.

We have increased the term deposit rates to offset this. Also, if you really want closer to a 1 year term deposit you can average the block timing and then term deposit the coins for X amount of blocks that should get you closer to the time frame you have in mind.

Got it! I figured out that I'll need to deposit approximately 270 days for reach 1 real year with 227.5% of interest, at this time.

Thank you!

Hey guys, any calculator to estimate how many HODL we can get with determined hashrate?

That above doesn't work.

https://bitmakler.net/HOdlcoin___mining

any idea as to when can we start trading hodl/ether?  OR any possibility if we get listed on another exchange?

Barterdex, but HOdl your coins aye? don't sell HODL

Thank you!

Start mining here to get an idea. http://hodl.optiminer.pl/
It might be less expensive to buy at the current price of $0.007573 with $100 you get something near 13200 of course it's risky at best. That $100 could buy a nice dinner for two out on the town.

Thanks!
