Re: Best altcoins for 2020?
by

on 07/04/2020, 22:00:40 UTC
Which would be the best and most preferred altcoins to invest in the year 2020?

It was Ethereum and Ripple for the year 2017 and 2018/2019 had been bearish without any particular altcoins to be preferred we have seen almost all the altcoins going through bloodbath except few exchange tokens like BNB but which will be the most profitable altcoins for 2020? Will it Ethereum again or some other altcoins like litecoin or BCH or Ripple?

if you take a look on the history on ilcoin given the situation with the pandemic, you would be amazed with its stability and pouring developmental process.

Re: Coin Announcements

I was thinking of monitoring a good coin monitoring [site/post/thread/announcement] but I don't know where to start.

All I'm looking to do is see which coins have a major announcement which could affect its price.

What's the best and easiest [site/post/thread/announcement] to monitor to get this info quickly and easily?

Appreciate the help,

JH

I usually use blockfolio. And at the same time, check on Ilcoin project, very good investment right at this early stage

Re: In times of turmoil, is Bitcoin really a safe-haven asset?
by

I've seen how mainstream events like the coronavirus "COVID-19" and the downfall of the stock market, has negatively impacted Bitcoin's price across the crypto market. For a cryptocurrency that's been hailed as a safe-haven against traditional Fiat, it's been doing otherwise. Gold has been performing better than Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies combined. It's odd to see something like this happening today since Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency. This should make it "immune" from real-world events whatsoever. Bitcoin's latest decline in price has shown us that the cryptocurrency is still linked to mainstream events. It's probably because Bitcoin is often traded on centralized exchanges than decentralized ones. As long as it stays that way, Bitcoin will never be able to become a "safe-haven" asset in times of turmoil. Or am I wrong?

What are your thoughts? Huh

definitely no ones beating as as we speak, but at the same time, im taking my chances on Ilcoin project, which fully focuses on scalability issues and security.

Re: Which altcoins will grow in price faster if the market recovers?
by
AliceWood21
on 04/04/2020, 00:52:48 UTC
The fall of the crypto market has stopped. At least some altcoins have not fallen in price for several days and even show weak growth.
Everyone knows that the time of crisis is the best time to buy.
Before the strong fall in the price of Bitcoin, I sold my coins and then managed to buy them back at a much lower price. Now I have money left for additional investments and I am thinking of spending it on bitcoins to average out in case of a fall in the price or better to buy other coins. What kind of altcoins do you think will grow in price faster if the market recovers? I am more interested in your reasoned opinion than the name of a simple coin name.

Im pretty sure that one of them Ilcoin is gonna take it to another level with all its continuous development. Go check it out now! Smiley

Re: Toilet paper hoarding

Boy, I didn't realize that toilet paper is such a coveted item. Tried to order some this weekend with my grocery store delivery, no dice. Waited to get some today, store shelf empty. Called one store, nope. Called another store, got lucky. However, I only bought one package of 12. The clerk asked me if I wanted more. I hope that I didn't make a crucial error. Although, I am sure cloth rags and frequent showers will work. Or is running water going to be in short supply soon, too? How long, exactly, are people expecting to be holed up? We only have like 33 presumptive cases in the state that I am in at the moment, and I live in a rather large state.(area wise)

same here buddy! just need a pitcher to be honest instead of a pile of toilet paper!

Re: Alternative Block Chains : be safe!
by
AliceWood21
on 02/04/2020, 04:48:42 UTC
I haven't seen anybody post about what would be my biggest worry if I were trying out alternative block chains. I realize this may be perceived as "Gavin is FUD'ding anything that isn't bitcoin!"  (FUD == Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt)  But I think some of you might be forgetting some basic computer security fundamentals in the excitement to be early adopters.

When I first heard about bitcoin, my questions were:

1) Can it possibly work (do the ideas for how it works make sense)?
2) Is it a scam?
3) If it is not a scam, could it open my computer up to viruses/trojans if I run it?

I answered those questions by:

1) Reading and understanding Satoshi's whitepaper.  Then thinking about it for a day or two and reading it again.
2) Finding out everything I could about the project.  I read every forum thread here (there were probably under a hundred threads back then) and read Satoshi's initial postings on the crypto mailing list.
3) Downloaded and skimmed the source code to see if it looked vulnerable to buffer overflow or other remotely exploitable attacks.

If I were going to experiment with an alternative block-chain, I'd go through the same process again. But I'm an old conservative fuddy-duddy.

If you want to take a risk on a brand-new alternative block-chain, I'd strongly suggest that you:

1) Run the software in a virtual machine or on a machine that doesn't contain anything valuable.
2) Don't invest more money or time than you can afford to lose.
3) Use a different passphrase at every exchange site.

If you are trying to look for a project that focuses on Private and Secure Data Transfers, then go ahead and take a look at ilcoincrypto.com

Re: Do you think this is a good strategy ?
by
AliceWood21
on 30/03/2020, 22:45:48 UTC
Hi all  Smiley

Do you think this is a good strategy:

I buy bitcoin by putting a stop limit at the same purchase price to lose nothing

Example: I buy 1 BTC at $ 5200 and simultaneously place a stop limit (loss) at $ 5200, if the price goes up then it's good for me but if it goes down then I would lose nothing

Thank you

Good strategy is investing in IlCoin at this early stage. I bet you won't regret it.

Re: Not all projects are bad
by

on 29/03/2020, 06:48:12 UTC
If you are a developer and you develop a new project and build a good team and after several months of promoting the project you don't met your expectations yet you never give up won't others say bad thing about the project and the teams? This is happening with few good projects in crypto space but many failed to understand, they want their half cake quickly e.g bounty hunters, to say the truth it's not easy to be a developer, not all projects that failed are bad, they might not just meet their expectations

Go and take a look at ilcoin, not yet bull  but this means you can still buy at low with high possible roi.

Re: Which are your top 5 coins for HODL?
by
AliceWood21
on 27/03/2020, 06:12:08 UTC
What are some of your favorite long term HODL coins?

I particularly have these in my portfolio for HODL:
Bitcoin
Ethereum
Cardano
Tron
Still trying to figure out the fifth one to hold for a long term good return.

Your favorite coins with a bright forseeable future?

I would say go for Ilcoin. They have massive developments going on as we speak which mainly tackles security and scalability issues. Go visit their official link here: https://ilcoincrypto.com/

Re: [ANN] [ILC] ILCOIN-WHERE NOT ONLY CRYPTOCURRENCY IS SMART
by
AliceWood21
on 24/03/2020, 19:52:18 UTC
Well, I was also thinking about it somehow if maybe ILCoin could possibly mix the best of both worlds in terms of having 2 types of currencies: external which is ILC (which is susceptible to volatility) and another that's internal (that could be a stable coin) instead.
Mind you, other cryptocurrencies have already done it. Cool  They just don't have what ILCoin has in terms of technology, in order for their vision to be future proof instead.
While true that ILCoin didn't invent cryptocurrency (we have bitcoin to thank for that), but ILCoin definitely innovated itself from other cryptocurrencies by overcoming the scalability issues that are plaguing other competing blockchain technologies.
and wait until the real value of rift and dcb is felt once they are implemented and make their way to becoming the most lethal combo development in the history of blockchain!
Until it does moon, just hodl or trade for the meantime, whichever you prefer. Cool

hodl could be our best option as we speak given the current situation with the pandemic. hopefully we can overcome such pandemic, go back to normal and go to the moon!

some of them only have it written in paper buddy, but with no real proof of development. this is where ilcoin best the rest because of its transparency to its users!

You can rely on feedback or reviews from other users, of course. But it's always a good practice to try and see which ILCoin wallet works best for you or not in the end.
That is correct just like what i did i try to test some available wallets and see it for myself which is better for my preference. Asking some friends can be good way as well.

but if you are pertaining to our own wallet, it's already been released. go check out and see for yourself right here: https://ilcoinwebwallet.com:5001/

I've read on their new road map that the ilcdevteam was focuses more in the development of the DCB . if we look at in the new road map dcb is in development for the next 3 years if i am not mistaken.

as far as i can see release of dcb in set  for december this year as evident from their official website: https://ilcoincrypto.com/about.html
hopefully, there won't be any delays.

That is correct, the virus has lockdown some big countries like italy ,china and it affects most crypto gatherings and crypto market exchanges. When all of these has ceased we hope that all will comeback to normal and price will be back to bullish trend.

Yes buddy, but in the meantime, since the pandemic has gone too far as we speak, it's better to stay home and just trust ilcoin! Wink

I totally agree with you. Since everything has been down from stocks exchange to crypto, this is now the perfect time to buy more!

good thing it hasn't plummet, just goes to show how strong and stable this project is! Wink

But COVID-19 is a different beast, so we've yet to really see how the market handles the situation now instead.  Cry

yup you bet it. hopefully we can stay stable, earth can stay stable and ilc stays stable too. Smiley
Once the virus outbreak ceases there's a big possibility that the market would resume it's bullish trend and everyone will be happy again.

Thats what everyone is hoping for man. I really think that is a big big possibility. But for now, lets all stay safe and keep on trusting our ilcoin team the best way we can!

I can agree to that, well we can especulate then but still we need to see how market reacts untill the end of year 2020.

Im also looking forward to see on the data storage testing on live chain which I think is also scheduled for this year right?

yeah, im pretty sure that this has something to do with trying to know the limit of the block by uploading huge size of data files.

Let's wait for reality to set in first, before we go on dreaming once again, alright? Roll Eyes

I think now we're not dreaming no more as we can see how stable ilcoin is despite every single crypto going down to say the least.
