Silver is now $16. Its reserves are limited and produced together with other metals. When they switched to digital photography, the demand, and then the price of it, fell dramatically.

Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money

In many countries there was a period of high volatility of national fiat currencies, this complicated the exchange of goods, but did not abolish it. So the volatility of the crypto-currency is not too big a problem to participate in the commodity exchange, the problem of exchanging them for the fiat is much more important.

It is necessary to use professionally all new technologies that make trading transactions not a lucky chance, but a logical result.
Fast computers, high-speed Internet, fully electronic markets and direct access trade are the main assistants of an independent retail trader. Among the more powerful technologies are automated trading, innovative market research tools and testing of trading systems based on historical data. Applications for mobile trading allow you to analyze trading conditions, place orders and manage positions using a smartphone or tablet.

"Let three people judge better, than four carry" (carried in the cemetery Smiley)
But seriously, the crime can have different circumstances. And police, investigators and judges will rather objectively sort out. You can not make a conclusion about a crime by newspaper articles.

Re: what is the predicted value for BTC in end of 2018??????

Too many operating factors affect the price of bitcoin. During the year, new events may appear, which can significantly affect its price. You can make a forecast for the corridor: at least 8, taking into account the production price and not more than 50 thousand given the total volume of capitalization.

If you take into account how much money was spent on its extraction, then the price equal to zero will never be. Perhaps ether will replace bitcoin, but bitcoin will probably cost as antiques.

Re: US Customs and Border Protection Discovers 14 Blockchain Use Cases

Well, I do not know how we can take this. In fact the people that are trying to put everything on a blockchain for no particular reason - that is the case here - are people that drive me angry, because we must fight people which are praising blockchain but not Bitcoin, those will put fiat money on a bank blockchain - Ripple anyone ? - and will fool people with a so-called decentralised tool.

They came up with good ideas.
This will make space-separated backup storage of data.
All data will be updated at the same time.
It will not be possible to lose data if at least one node is running.
This is protection against hackers.

According to TheNational.ae, bitcoin adoption in Zimbabwe is seemingly skyrocketing as the country’s economic situation looks bleak. So much so, that one bitcoin is trading at nearly $10,000 on the Golix.io exchange, while the global average is, at press time, of $5,642.00.

I haven't exchange traded in years. Does anyone know if its possible to arb on the golix.io exchange if indeed btc was trading there at an all time high of $10,000? The implications of btc trading as high as $10k on some exchanges could show demand is strong enough for btc to trend over $6,000. It could mean btc will reach $10k in 2018. Will be interesting to see how good/bad of an indicator this is over the long term.

On the Nigerian exchanges you can enter bitcoin, you can not withdraw. The output requires a trusted person on the spot - which is not easy to do given their reputation. In Zimbabwe, it's probably not all that simple. Be careful.

How will regular law-abiding sites respond to this system? It can turn out that they are users of this system will be mistaken for hackers. For example, exchanges with the change of IP require you to check via email that this is not a hack.

Indonesia is one of the most promising emerging economies in the world.
And how can the export of Indonesia be improved with the help of this crypto currency? What is the relationship between them?

It is much better, in the sense of being in demand, to do the reverse operation. Do you plan to make a deposit in Fiat currencies for VISA / MasterCard?

Futures contracts over time will reduce the volatility of bitcoins. In addition, it is important that crypto coins will gradually begin to be recognized by many countries and there will be corresponding legislation regulating and protecting investors.

It is possible that this is behind the plan to increase inflation in order to write off debts. In the development of such a situation, there is a high probability of a sharp increase in the rate of the crypto currency in order to save its funds from depreciation.

It's possible in automated programs, when they fall, they start selling urgently, when such programs create a lot of panic sales.

Another option is that the new chapter is headed by Jerome Hayden Powell and his plan for a gradual increase in the interest rate: "We expect that inflation in annual terms will grow this year and stabilize around the 2% FOMC target in the medium term".
