Get a hardware wallet, reputable one, from the website or reputable dealer. Don't buy 2nd hand shady shit from amazon/ebay, those probably have a back door.
Anyway, get a hardware wallet, lock it away somewhere safe, and send any extra crypto to that wallet
From my research I discovered  ledger Nano x,which  stores private key offline , protecting  you from hackers and phishing attacks.i also discovered  the likes of Trezor Model T and cold card mk4. Hardware  wallets are best and also the safest  way  to safe bitcoin for long term investment, the only precautions  is never to share your  passphrase/ private keys online.
