God... you have no grasp of hypothetical phrasing, do you? I'm saying that I for one would be ok with AUR being offered on only the ISX server once adoption reaches an apex in Iceland. That's coming from someone outside of Iceland.

AUR is not controlled by anyone, you can't tell people what to do. It's a decentralized currency that has no borders. Anyone can buy AUR off Bittrex and send it anywhere in the world. You must think out the box and get more international interest to boost the coins status.
The icelandic nation is a top 10 happiest nation in the world. change won't come easy like it would in Africa where people are desperate for change and begging for upliftment.
The total supply of 21 million coins looks attractive for future investments, but for now it is still too early to conclude that this coin is good. I will see the development going forward, as well as to the developer's activation in developing it

He has the best intentions for AUR to succeed elsewhere in the world. Why can't you people grasp this? AUR is not bound to one country, it can have strong support in Iceland but the fact it's on bittrex means international users already hold a large stake. The AUR team is also 66% international.

You guys are forgetting about big bitcoin mines that are based in iceland. 5 percent of bitcoin is mined in iceland by big companies like genesis mining. These companies are going to play a big role soon because they can produce bitcoin cheaply and then buy auroracoin really cheaply on bittrex selling for higher price on isx.is. these mining companies have at least one billion dollars of bitcoin to trade this way.
It's only legal to mine bitcoin in Iceland but not to buy bitcoin and send it out the country.

You can also just come here in 1-2 years and have money to spend! How about paying for your hotel, flight, and all restaurants in 2 years with Auroracoin.

Satoshi is more respected then the central banks. We will never know why some anonymous Dutch guy created AUR to help the Icelandic people . A cup of coffee would be a waste of money and time discussIng the intentions of the creator and how much AUR he has stashed in cold storage.

So im kind of screwd, I had around 40.000 Aur on Cryptsy and could not get them out when they closed. Guessing they had more Aur on the exchange than they had in theyr wallets. Is there some chance of getting them back (like it looks like with MTGox now)..

My suggestion for the ISK exchange is to have 0% fees and create more volume to have the illusion that the exchange is busier then it is. This will attract the Icelanders into thinking they missing out, I know you people are most likely doing this already but try push it to $50k . Then pay some puppet at cointelegraph and newspaper in Iceland to write up a articles about the influx of people.

Also, in a globalized market how does the team expect to have AUR only for Iceland? How will "foreign" AUR be "imported" just for the sake of Iceland?

One of these challenges is how to get AUR back to iceland ? There is already a lot of AUR in iceland, but we dont know yet how many will actually hit the market. So foreign aur will somewhat need to be ''imported''.

I would use AUR to get into bitcoin if I was a Icelander, once you have AUR there is no stopping anyone from getting money out the country by exchanging it on bittrex. I think more AUR will leave Iceland then come in. AUR can be used as a gateway to bitcoin which will give it value. Obviously the foundation members must know the laws and not risk having a asshole the size of the grand canyon in prison because they didn't think of this strategy to send money out the country.

Marketing is more AUR bread and butter. Development is secondary but aslong as it works. Mainstreamers don't care about mining.
