Bitcoin has been the father of all crypto currencies and will be for 5 years or so. But with the rise of Altcoins in these few years we can speculate that bitcoin will get overtaken someday by some coin that can offer much more than bitcoin. I think there is already alot of these coins, but they lack media attention. It's the only reason bitcoin is not going to get into second place in near future. With this much progress in crypto, Altcoins may take cash place completely. You can already pay with them, but it's not that common. So overall, i think that Altcoins is the future and i would like to hear your opinions on this topic.

Well, bitcoin can hardly die. It probably will in 15 years or so but be at ease today. Market it only going up and new coins attacts new people. If bitcoin dies alone, that meaning all other Altcoins live. Then Ethereum would take it's place and some other coin would emerge to take ethereum place. This market cant really die easily.

Trading is like playing with your investments. In crypto market you can search for some exchange website like Bittrex. Go on there, buy diffrent altcoins and gain profit from buying low, selling high.
Investing is just investment with expectations that the thing you invested in will grow and then you can sell stocks, tokens or what you bought into cash.

Trading is more risky but it's more rewarding. If you have time and will i would suggest trying to trade. But first learn how to do it properly so you dont lose all of your money or most of it.

Bad investments. To get most of Altcoins you have to search for them in media sites. If media gives their attention to the coin then it might go up. Remember that all of crypto currency is runned by people buying and selling. Altcoins do alot of events. Rebrand, giveaways and stuff like that. So investing before event or just big wave of attention from media will get you some money. In one evening with one coin i managed to do +5k USD. Just remember to not get greedy because when people will dump, coin will drop really hard. You might lose alot of money. Crypto is like gamble with extra steps, so it's better than gamble, but it's still gamble. Good luck and remember that it's everything about media attention in this market .

There would be something similar to bitcoin in some kind, but the concept of crypto is from bitcoin. If there were no bitcoins, there wouldnt be any of Altcoins. Something similar would exist, but not same. It could work diffrently or have diffrent market. We can only guess what have happend if bitcoin wasnt invented.

Invest as much money as you can lose without much worrying. Bitcoin is about high risk high reward. Bitcoin will rise few thousands from now on and then drop again. It's normal and will it will keep doing it. But in long term bitcoin will reach 30k or more. Alot of experts speculate that bitcoin will reach 50k by the end of 2018. While bitcoin is dropping you can invest in Altcoins and wait till bitcoin is on the rise again. All of this needs time, so it's like a job. If you can invest time, money and nerves go for it. Bitcoin is the most safest. It's even more safe than bank. From my experience in programming i can say that with current technology it cant be hacked. So be at ease when it comes to losing your money to hackers.

Bitcoin will grow till some other coin will take it's place, because bitcoin doesnt offer any service. At the moment Ethereum might be his rival in near future. But besides competition, both of them will rise much more than they are right now.

Bitcoin will be overtaken by ethereum or some other coin. It's just a matter of time. Bitcoin doesnt offer any service, but it's got media attention. I think in few years ethereum will rival bitcoin, if not overtake it. But there is possibility of ethereum never leaving bitcoins shadow. We can only speculate and watch graphs.

In your case, for most chance of success i would invest in Altcoin that will rebrand or do some event that will effect it. Investing such amount in bitcoin doesnt sound worth it. If you want to hold it go for some privacy coin since it will probably go up by itself. Otherwise play with rebrands and events.

    Hello crypto investor that is going to or already invested in crypto. By this post i want remove all the doubts in your head keeping you from investing more or at all. As you all know bitcoin just crashed. (in my opinion you cant even call that crash, but anyways). So i'm going to give you some opinions of mine that might help you:
    1. Firstly, the thing with bitcoin is, that it's purely psychological based. That means it should go up and down often. People see their money rise and they sell as fast as they can. If bitcoin didnt do this, that would be not normal. So dont worry if you see little bit of crashing. After that the only way is to the top.
    2. Secondly, not many people know about bitcoin. Only in these last years many people started investing in bitcoin. In my opinion, many people avoid bitcoin because they have heard about the bad side of it. Drugs and that other stuff. Seeing it more and more in news later on will only attract more people to invest and the price will go up. It's just a matter of time.
    3. Thirdly, we all have seen those ads and stuff like: Bitcoin is the future! Well that is kinda true. But we will have to wait for it. You can already pay with bitcoin, but it's not that often today. In my opinion, bitcoin will be widely used as currency in world. It's "safest" from all currencies, investments you can hold your money in. Image if north korea attacked USA. (I know it's kinda impossible but just bear with me) If that happend and they managed to do big damage, USA would make more money to spend it on weapons and defenses. What that does is crash the economy of USD. Since war is kinda impossible, but USA is in very deep in debt, that is a possibility. Making more money to pay them off would do the same, wouldn't it? Since bitcoin isnt tied to anything that is going to drop so much in value, i think it's really safe as investment.
    4. Bitcoin will rise alot when supply will hit dead end. I dont think there is anything more to this.
    Having said all that, in my opinion, you should invest as much money as you can lose. Bitcoin market is about high risk and high reward. If you're going to hold it for few years, then you dont have to worry about losing some of that money or any at all. But If you're going to buy low and sell high or start playing with exchanges you should invest smartly. There is tons and tons material to learn where to invest.
