The short answer is yes, and especially the small cap altcoins. That is why I invested in the Angel Token ICO (ends in 10 hours) because they are going to take some of these altcoins and make them "superstars" and turn them into 5000% profit or more!  Altcoins all the way in this market!

On top of that, I think more icos should give this right to their investors, the right to change their mind if they wanna pull out their investment. This can only be healthy for the whole crypto world.

The real utility is for traders and newbies most likely. Angel token is a crypto incubator...if that's not useful for investors why would other coins be? like kickico for instance. I think they both help creating a better crypto environment IMO.

I have always wondered how much it costs to advertise the top spot on places like https://www.worldcoinindex.com/ and http://coinmarketcap.com but I bet it aint cheap! 

Everything I have seen from TEAM ANGEL since day 1 has been professional and good. Even how they have handled their sig campaign shows both integrity and professionalism. They only hire the best and kick out those that post crap on the forum.

Why not both? Different coins, different purposes, different fees. I'm in both for now, no reasons to go bazinka and "hate sell" for me.

I have seen fairly long refunds before, (admittedly never this long!), but they have usually been there in case the project fails to reach enough investment and stuff like that.

This is the first time I have seen an 'investor protection'/refund offer that is in place to allow investors to evaluate the team's performance, and the promises they make.

Very innovative and I wish more ICOs would implement this feature.

I admire the scope of the project, it is just too far in the future for a project like this to have the visibility it needs among musicians and public. I think it won't get the traction it needs.

Alloy - I looked at that too. It's just one of those business models that's far too tough - unfortunately imo. There have been several attempts to do real-world rewards networks. The trouble is scale - you need to spend so much advertising to get people to commit to your rewards program, it's almost as tough as getting someone to become a purchaser of goods in the first place. Add the complexity of doing through a token and I am just not convinced. Be careful with this one.

I think that Monacoin does have good Japanese whale support. The chart doesn't look like a straightforward pump and dump to me. I'm thinking buy now. After attention away from BTC forks, and altcoins get some love again, Monacoin will rise back to 6.00. Am investing.

It is getting really hard to keep up with all the new ICOs coming, but Stockbet looks interesting to me.

It's time to buy altcoins cheap I think. It's very likely that Bitcoin and Bitcoin gold will get dumped back for the coins once the dust settles over the fork.

BAT, Bancor, those were some big ones. There will be bigger and bigger ones with time I think and next year new records will be broken.

Every ICO has it stated how they deploy their coins and you shouldn't really invest in the ones you're not comfortable with. I understand that you didn't search or read and you'll be careful in the future but the title is a bit sensationalist because it sounds like someone stole or tricked people when usually this sort of information is right in the whitepapers or on the websites you invest in.

As to why some do it one way or the other, it just depends on how the devs choose to build their contracts/ICO/business model...

$10,000 investment 7 years ago in Bitcoin would have brought $430 million at today's price.

While that is potential since that sort of investment wasn't quite possible or easy due to the much lower volume, you have to wonder where would $10,000 investment today would leave you in 7 years from now?

A lot will depend on what happens with the potential Bitcoin fork on August 1st.

If there is one, or even the risk of it increases, then LTC will benefit as a safe haven I think.

Maybe if bitcoin crashes everything goes down a lot, but in relation to bitcoin I think LTC will do better.
