Hi.

Can anyone provide me with the step by step approach on how to generate the configuration details (below) for an altcoin

Find the bc_daemon.php and open it in your text editor or PHP IDE.  At the top you will find the following code:

/******************************************************************************
   Wallet Configuration
******************************************************************************/
   $GLOBALS["wallet_ip"] = "127.0.0.1";
   $GLOBALS["wallet_port"] = "8332";
   $GLOBALS["wallet_user"] = "username";
   $GLOBALS["wallet_pass"] = "password";

It is important to replace these values with the correct information for your daemon.

Thanks

Ethereum or Litecoin would probably take the place of bitcoin. If bitcoin were to die tomorrow, it would probably drag down the altcoins with it as well, but if you give altcoins some time until they can establish themselves, they wouldn't be harmed in my opinion. An altcoin may eventually take the place of btc as the best crypto as well, especially considering the scalability issues that btc might face in the near future.

It is very risky, Invest in other physical business you deem fit for, as this will support you during the dip period of bitcoin.
