The Freelance Market
Many freelancers seek out the outsourced platforms such as upwork.com and freelancer.com for resources. These platforms facilitate the release of jobs by employers or application of the vacancies by freelancers.
Their key function is to create a contract between employers and freelancers, then utilize a set of rules to collect and calculate the ratings of employers and employees after completing the contract. Execution and maintenance of these contracts is the main responsibility of the platforms.
But being intermediaries that align employers and freelancers can also create many problems, sometimes they are
1, inefficient, especially when involving withdrawal, may need to wait a few days or weeks;
2. expensive, service charges for both parties are can be as high as 20%;
3. negligent, judgement may lean towards a specific party when dealing with conflicts;
4. unfair, phenomena such as paying for rating or make use of loopholes in rules to cheat.
Smart Contract
Think carefully for the needs of these centralized outsourcing platforms.
We would like to have them not only to create contracts for both parties, but also for the storage and maintenance of records and database therefore generated. Moreover, the contracts rely on a central trustee to execute and verify.
But now with the breakthrough of blockchain technology, we can create secure contracts without a third-party.
Demonstrate Simple Tasks
For demonstration, we create a contract with the official Amoeba Dapp and automate it without any third party.
The model of the contract is usually on one-a-one basis, i.e., between employers and employees, but there will also be many-to-one or one-to-many situation. The latter models are still under development.
Case scenario: an employer wants someone to:
1. design a logo
2. will to pay 2000AMBA
3. task completed in 20 days
The process on AMOEBA will be as follows:
1. The employer fills in his arrangement and creates a contract;
2. The employer sends 2000AMBA for task;
3. Employees bid;
4. The employer selects the employee for this contract from the bid;
5. The chosen employee completes the task;
6. The employer checks the work, confirms the completion of the contract, and the employee receives 2000AMBA.
In this simple demonstration, the mentioned contract is entirely owned by the employer and the employee. It is stored in the AMOEBA blockchain, thus NO ONE except the involving employer and the employee can change the status of the contract. It does not rely on a third-party for the transaction, and AMBA will automatically perform the transfer based on the rules specified when the contract was created.
The cost of creating this kind of contract is extremely low, and the running only requires the Metamask extension pre-installed on a browser.

Their key function is to create a contract between employers and freelancers, then utilize a set of rules to collect and calculate the ratings of employers and employees after completing the contract. Execution and maintenance of these contracts is the main responsibility of the platforms.
But being intermediaries that align employers and freelancers can also create many problems, sometimes they are
1, inefficient, especially when involving withdrawal, may need to wait a few days or weeks;
2. expensive, service charges for both parties are can be as high as 20%;
3. negligent, judgement may lean towards a specific party when dealing with conflicts;

For demonstration, we create a contract with the official Amoeba Dapp and automate it without any third party.
The model of the contract is usually on one-a-one basis, i.e., between employers and employees, but there will also be many-to-one or one-to-many situation. The latter models are still under development.
Case scenario: an employer wants someone to:
1. design a logo
2. will to pay 2000AMBA
3. task completed in 20 days
The process on AMOEBA will be as follows:
1. The employer fills in his arrangement and creates a contract;
2. The employer sends 2000AMBA for task;
3. Employees bid;
4. The employer selects the employee for this contract from the bid;
5. The chosen employee completes the task;
6. The employer checks the work, confirms the completion of the contract, and the employee receives 2000AMBA.
In this simple demonstration, the mentioned contract is entirely owned by the employer and the employee. It is stored in the AMOEBA blockchain, thus NO ONE except the involving employer and the employee can change the status of the contract. It does not rely on a third-party for the transaction, and AMBA will automatically perform the transfer based on the rules specified when the contract was created.
The cost of creating this kind of contract is extremely low, and the running only requires the Metamask extension pre-installed on a browser.
