Re: Cockfighting led to a horrible case

This is why the government of some countries are working hard to make sure that gambling is banned in their nation because it causes a whole lot of alarming issues. Imagine waking up to such a disturbing news, I'm sure the people in the Philippines were perturbed by this. Gambling shouldn't be something that is supposed to resort to violence. I think they were under the influence of hard drugs
Similarly, many countries have been quite successful in regulating gambling, as it can fundamentally be a source of state revenue. However, without strict oversight, the impact can be devastating, as in the case described by OP.
I can't imagine that these murders only came to light after so many victims had fallen. Perhaps the police in that country were indeed very corrupt and collaborating with the murderers.
Naturally, such a large number of murders would be deeply unsettling to the public. The police should have been able to uncover the truth in that case much sooner.

Re: I did a last resort resolve of gambling addiction.
by

It is better to take other options to control while doing this that you are sure will help you with for example you can use self exclude from the casinos that will not let you to play again for specific amount of time and you can't change once you self excluded but this you can change at anytime when you want and that's most likely happen with most gambling addicts who says they will stop from now but in a few days they will relapse harder and losing more.
Yes, there are many instances where a gambler gets very excited after losing and at that time he requests to self-exclude to stay away from the casino but the funny thing is that they become aggressive again for gambling within a day. In this situation, I think the decision that the gambler has to take needs to be taken very carefully. If you want to keep yourself away from gambling, then understand it well with yourself and then the next decision can be taken. Any decision should not be taken quickly during excitement.

I believe that's normal reaction of any gambler. You can't assure that you will always keep up with yourself as that's human nature.

Re: Can AI really predict the outcome of a sports match?
by
AmoreJaz
on 13/07/2025, 22:30:45 UTC
Ai Cannot give you accurate results, relying on it would only set you up for failure. When it comes to football predictions you must understand that human intelligence is more preferable than that of Ai. There are predictions that requires previous experiences and some things that you need to think about logically. Ai has made a lot of people lazy to the point where they feel like it can do everything for them

AI can surely predict but will it be reliable? That's the question. Because just like any human. AI can predict but as to how it will be accurate, is not an assurance. Because there are underlying factors that it can go wrong such as line-up of athletes not considered, change of strategy, weather conditions, last minute change of coach among others. So the answer is yes, it can predict but you can't guarantee that its prediction is 100% accurate.

Re: Betting on the impossible
by
AmoreJaz
on 13/07/2025, 21:39:55 UTC
Sometimes the craziest bets pay off  jIt’s like when someone held onto Bitcoin back in 2010 or 2011, not fully sure where it was headed but trusting the process anyway. Most of the time, those long shots don’t work out, but when they do, the payoff is insane. Betting on the “impossible” can sometimes be the smartest move, even if it’s just for fun.

The chance of crazy bets paying off is very low, and you don't have to compare Bitcoin which is an investment to gambling that is not an investment. Speaking of someone that held unto Bitcoin since 2010 till now without being sure about the future, how much was Bitcoin worth then? Not even up to $1 per Bitcoin and mostly some people were still mining and getting so many Bitcoin for free and some people too were getting it from faucets, meaning they didn't spend a dime to get it. In gambling, you must spend your money and it's either you lose it or profit from that money.

Well, he just presented the situation as somewhat similar with gambling when btc was at its early days. For me, it was indeed like you were gambling in that asset because you have no idea that it will hit in the market after few years. You maybe did not spend any penny getting those free satoshis but you used some of your resources to acquire those satoshis.

Re: Usyk - Dubois Rematch July 19 Undisputed Heavyweight, Wembley, London
by
AmoreJaz
on 13/07/2025, 21:09:29 UTC
At the moment the odds are as follows:

1.26 - 3.25

Usyk is the obvious favorite, but I don't even know if the 26% risk is worth it? The only thing that confuses me is the huge age difference (or rather, Usyk's proximity to the age where strength decreases exponentially).Betting on Dubois doesn't look attractive either, his only chance is a lucky punch or that for some reason Usyk won't be physically ready. The basic scenario of this fight is that Usyk will outclass him again.

But don't get too confident as Dubois knows that he is the underdog of this fight, he is surely up to this challenge and prepare also for this upcoming match. Of course, he won't just give the fight to Usyk without a fight. I don't think he is not preparing either. So let's give him the benefit of the doubt and see where this goes. But if you have a very good feeling with Usyk, x1.26 is not bad. Enjoy while watching and earn some profits if you are that confident with his cards.

Re: ⚽ FIFA Club World Cup 2025 - USA: Discussion Thread ⚽

Nobody saw this coming in the first half as Chelsea turned PSG to be the underdogs in this match. A lot of gamblers are on the losinh side, only if PSG can make out something out of nothing. Chelsea is taking revenge for Real Madrid because this is the same result of the first half in the semifinals but against PSG. I don't expect any miracle from PSG in the second half. It's obvious that Chelsea game strategy has outsmart them.
I will say the current result of the match is so shocking to everyone, no one believe Chelsea will score 3 goals in the match, just first half have been played, and Chelsea have scored 3 goals already, everyone expected PSG to get a win today, but as we can see it’s just going to be difficult for PSG, because Chelsea won’t watch PSG score three goals the second half of the match without increasing their goals also. Am really impressed with the way Chelsea have been playing, I never believed Chelsea will play such a nice ball in the first half of the match, and am sure Chelsea will continue with their good performance in the second half of the match.

In this sports, though you can predict which team will win but when it comes to the number of goals, still would be hard to give the exact number. And in this case, Chelsea did a very good performance getting 3 goals on the first half, as no one expected - given that it is PSG that they are facing with.

Just read some article or short youtube video and try it on a demo account.
You'd have better understanding when you're executing the theory itself directly into the trading platform than just seeing some videos or reading some books.

At the end of the day, you're the one that need to tailor a good strategy to make profit. Those books are just textbook guide that won't always right in current market with so many variables.

I remember having this kind of experience when I was still young. The ones who actually forced us to keep on playing are not just gambling addicts but gangsters, too. We cannot walk away with the winning money because they will just keep on playing, and they will use any means necessary just to keep us from the same space. We cannot even take a pee because they think we will run away.
They are using their watch and keys to their motorcycles as bets which made us more worried that we cannot get away anymore. Luckily, we are playing outside and some friends came over to check on us so we got away.

Re: What Actually Drives People/Gov to Adopt New and Bold Decisions
by

on 12/07/2025, 22:58:03 UTC
It's so certain, looking at the situation of the countries it's so clear that two irresistible factor could be the reason why people and the government afoot new Decisions that will definitely favour them more than their subject.
One of which is MONEY they say it's the root of all evil but merely having love for it it's what result in some mischievous acts of selfishness and wickedness. And another factor is POWER every one wants to behold it inorder to rule or be a leader in one way or the other si clearly this are the vital areas that drives anyone to bold decisions.

Definitely, one of the target goals is to earn more money why they need to adopt a bold decision. Because if they are not seeing the potential of their decision, they won't change it, right?

Re: Observation on life needs
by
AmoreJaz
on 11/07/2025, 23:37:00 UTC
Do you agree with this observation? Would you agree that it's better to not increase your needs in first place?
It depends how financial strong wall you have built around you, that will determine if you will regret for increasing your needs or not op. If you are not wealthy yet, don't increase your needs because it will affect your health and other things when you don't have funds to purchase your needs that is making you healthy or looking good, but if you have different sources of income that is bring income to you everyday or weekly, it will help you not to regret or miss some of the needs you have purchased in the past because you have the funds to purchase the needs again.

You will know if you can already afford other things if you are accumulating extra funds. But as much as possible, you can also invest it to other assets so you can gain passive income out of it.

Re: Best way to exchange one coin to another ?
by
AmoreJaz
on 11/07/2025, 22:41:34 UTC
In my own case, i have been using the exchange services in doing this, because there i have some of my coins which i may want to exchange to fiat or to another digital asset, so i don't bother in going too much in search of other platforms that could render the same thing they can do, even though to consider on their service fee, its something not encouraging to that extent depending on the networks, but still far better than the fist exchange system.

If you find a reliable and trustworthy exchange, it is no surprise that you will use it throughout your trading journey. Because trying other exchanges may pose risk as you have to learn their reputation first. But it is not wrong to try other trading platforms. Sometimes, they will give better offerings to their customers.

Re: What's your advice to newbies who wants to trade.
by
AmoreJaz
on 11/07/2025, 21:09:32 UTC
Instead of trying to stop these newbies not to go on trading because of their lack of experience and skills, my advice is, let them trade and experience on their own how risky trading is, that way, they will learn trading the hard way. And for sure, the next time they trade, they will prepare for it to avoid further losses.

In reality, no matter how we discourage newbies not to rush in trading, the more they will force themselves to try trading, until they will start trading on their own and realize that there’s no easy trading, everything is actually tough and risky.

But if you are just starting, start with small funds and try first trading with popular coins such as btc. Grasp how to execute a trade, learn some techniques while doing it. And learn from it so you can use it the next time around. Each trade is a learning experience so to speak. And not every trade is the same but the process is the same.

Re: USA announces 50% tariffs on Brazil
by
AmoreJaz
on 11/07/2025, 20:31:58 UTC
To say Trump's tariff to the Brazil caused by economic reason is a complete non sense. In fact, US recorded surplus trade against Brazil. I think the main reasons are two, the first is BRICS, and the second is Bolsonaro.

However, Brazil taxed everything. They taxed foreign tech so high like almost 100%, which is so crazy.

So in this case, it is reasonable that US will do the same to them. This is business and so if they can't accept such regulation, they can do other business with the rest of the world but not US. However, we all know that they do need the US market.

Re: How can Bitcoin play a role as the main currency of every country?
by
AmoreJaz
on 10/07/2025, 23:49:22 UTC
If Bitcoin becomes the major currency of every country, in countries where the inflation rate is at double-digit, it won't be that bad again. The major cause of inflation is devaluation of the currency, so it is no longer able to afford what it could previously afford. This leads to an increase in the prices of goods and services in the country. But with the scarcity of bitcoin, that won't be a problem.
Also, the political and economic unrest of the country won't affect their currency. I think it will benefit 3rd world countries the most because they are the ones with failing currencies, economies and political systems. All these are just hypothetical, though, because I can't imagine a world where Bitcoin becomes the main currency.

Theoretically speaking, we can think of alternative realities having btc as the main currency. However, in reality, I don't think it will happen in our lifetime. Each country will stick to their main currency and the possibility that I am thinking is just, they will develop a digital currency corresponding to their main currency. But making btc as the major one, I don't think so.

Re: Is a University Degree Still Worth Anything?
by
AmoreJaz
on 10/07/2025, 22:25:29 UTC
It's still worth something but that most important thing you need to take note of is that it's no longer a criteria for success. I saw a post made by a content creator/ streamer I'm Nigeria who hasn't even acquired a degree but he said that he's willing to employ people that would always help him hold his camera to be paid #500000 monthly. Lol it was quite funny that he said only masters degree holders can get the job.

That's the reality that we have today. In today's generation, having a degree is not a measure of success anymore. It is how you sell yourself in the market and make a living. There are so many options now how to earn money. A lot are getting their passive income via different social media platforms. If you know how to face your camera and face the world virtually, you can indeed earn money in no time. But of course, it also needs dedication and perseverance. You won't get outright compensation with what you do as you need to acquire subscribers and more to earn a decent income. If it is not your forte, then, acquire skills on a different manner or educate yourself for something you really wanna do in life.

Re: Senator Lummis Submits New bills on Crypto Taxes
by
AmoreJaz
on 10/07/2025, 21:56:01 UTC
1. Exemption of Tax for Small Transactions: transactions below $300 will be tax free with a yearly maximum of $5000
2. Deferral of taxes of mining and staking until the moment of assets sale. This addresses the issue of double taxation.
3. Tax Exemptions for crypto loans and charitable contributions in digital assets.
This is a very good draft, and it truly understands the retailer's concerns about running their business, which are often hampered by high taxes. The minimum threshold certainly provides flexibility for transactors, and honestly this method should serve as an example for other countries opening up to crypto. The bill aims to provide the necessary special space. I believe transactions under $300 are more than enough to continue to receive full public support.

Because like it or not, people are heading to crypto market and it is better to have such regulations in dealing with this market. So instead of chasing these crypto people away, why not charge them with taxes or other related fees if they go beyond the reasonable limit? And in that manner, it is a win-win situation as the crypto people can continue doing their thing and at the same time, they can collect taxes from them.

Re: Proof that gambling may ruin any career when greed takes over
by
AmoreJaz
on 10/07/2025, 21:30:49 UTC
Everyone puts the blame on gambling for their greedy nature. Let gamblers stop putting their misfortune on gambling but take full responsibility of their actions. Greed was what will make a superster think of doing all sort of negative things that will frustrate and ruin his career. When you are an irresponsible gambler, your actions can add a negative impact on your future.

Gambling will ruin career not because of the activity itself but it is owed to the person himself. It is not the game why it can ruin someone else's career but the steps he did in exchange of huge sum of money. So it is not really about gambling per se but how the person is doing in this activity.

Re: Is it due to skills or luck?
by
AmoreJaz
on 09/07/2025, 23:57:25 UTC
Gambling is all on luck; no matter how experienced a player is, if they do not have luck in their game, they cannot win. Because, even when some individuals go and have a better chance of winning for teams they know are really powerful by betting large sums of money, it is still all about luck.  In football, it is not always about powerful teams; some weak teams might surprise a good team by defeating them, and that’s up to today. I do not believe that gambling is solely based on knowledge or experience with sports.

This is why there is ever no guarantee in gambling because no matter how long you are in here, or you say you are an expert, you won't win without the factor of luck.

Re: Winning Can Ruin You Too
by
AmoreJaz
on 09/07/2025, 23:24:57 UTC
This is totally true, winning is not a problem Rather greediness. Greediness is the reason why people often Chase after loses or chase after more wining and end up losing all. These factor are the main problem why people keep repeating same mistake. Greediness is the problem of majority of gamblers, if they can be contented with there win and pause or hold after wining and come back later, they would have done well but when greed has overshadow a person, it will make them not see reason to quit at the right time but keeps gambling and hopping for more when there is no hope for more.
And when it comes to winning, it has its own disadvantages. But the same time, it makes people want to have more because they feel there is more opportunity, and that is when they start doing crazy things. And when you talk about factors, it is true that one of the reasons why people want more money is because they have a record of winning, and winning is not a bad thing, but at some point, I feel things are going to be different because if you don't control the way you gamble, then you are just putting more pressure on yourself. We know we gamble to make money, but it is better to do it gradually so that you don't become addicted.

At the end of the day, it is on the gambler how he will take care of business. More than likely, most of us already experienced a lot when it comes to gambling, winning-losing and all the things in between. So there's no surprise if you know the repercussions of what you are doing. And by now, you should know what to do in order not to put yourself in the rabbit hole.

Re: If you had infinite money, would you still gamble?
by
AmoreJaz
on 09/07/2025, 23:00:06 UTC
Personally, I can't see myself giving two fucks when I don't care for money in first place. Would you?
That thing called infinite money doesn't exist, but let's just use, for the context of this conversation, that it does exist and I do have it. The last thing that I will think about is making money again steadily; I will focus on trying out different games since I don't have to worry about the money being staked, and by doing so, I will end up even making the casino owners richer while I'm just having my fun, but these are just mere assumptions. I might also consider and picture gambling differently if I'm in such a situation.

Theoretically speaking, I may be doing other important things.
