Thanks for the advice, we are struggling on this one. It is very possible that we remove the MN system completely and we go with a POS that is simply share with all coin holder.

So for each Lava Coin (x1 coin) you get
  • x0.5 Snow Coin (2019)
  • x1 Dark Coin (2020)
  • x2 Ghost Coin (2020)

You will receive your Snow Coin in 2019. At that point, the lava coin supply will be 4 million. Mining this coin is fun since it's the only way to do POS. If you mine then POS, you can get a fair amount of coin in time for the 2019 Fork.

  • Lava Coin is the in-game economy of Nightfall Dungeon
  • Snow Coin is the in-game economy of Nightfall Dungeon: Winter Tales expansion
  • Dark Coin and Ghost Coin are the in-game economy for upcoming game.

So Lava Coin gives you a daily POS interest rate plus 3 forks over 2 years. And if more game title joins the project, each time you will get a new fork. This enables each game to start with an existing coin supply + an independent economy that can evolve with custom coin specification.

So the game and it's expansion (with the Snow Coin Fork) will be based on Lava Coin. All the Unity code to integrate the Lava Blockchain ingame will be open-source and free for any studio who want to join in.

Indeed, we cannot sell the coin to raised capital, (ICO, Pre-sale or otherwise) since it is illegal in our country without proper filing with the authorities.

Pre-Announcement: Lava Coin
Lava Coin is a research project from A&S to integrate blockchain technology in Unity based game.
POW and POS model enable players to progressively unlock classes, access new dungeons, access new spells and acquire powerful magical items.
Guild system allows players to combine coins to unlock epic content or time limited events.

New expansion are supported by Lava Coin fork. For now one fork is planned for next year:
Snow Coin.

It cost me 755 sat per coin when I mine it with nicehash and sold it 1000 sat. Much less than the 2500 sat I wanted for, but still.

Now I will wait for the coin to hit some resistance (300 sat? 100 sat?) before I get back in.
