Im considering buying hardware wallet from ledger as I want to control and own my funds instead of having everything on exchanges.
My question is what will happen if ledger site goes offline completely and the owner disappears, will the wallet still function? even in 1000 years?

Do you guys think ledger is a good choice? are they trustworthy etc?

are there any risks of the hardware wallets being bugged so they can steal funds later from all users?

so I can do bookkeeping easier, any idea where I could find it?, i do not know how to use bitfinex api to get that yet
