Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin
by

on 15/08/2015, 06:19:24 UTC
the one which comes to mind is sure the adaptation by general market where people can use actually use bitcoin for basic daily life necessities.
For using bitcoins in daily needs, it is very far from now.
Because if you want to buy coffee or pizza with bitcoin in your lunch time then the confirmation time is about 10 minutes and sometimes even more and the breaks are usually of 15 minutes, so in those cases only cash will be preferred.

By forking the confirmation times, it can be utilized in daily life.

During spam attacks, the confirmation speed is very low.

Can't it be done like litecoin where we have to pay extra to send dust transactions.
It is a good method of preventing spam attacks, in my opinion.

Bitcoin is something which evolves over time. If you want your transaction confirmed quickly, you can always send it with a higher fee.  Smiley
Hmm higher fee.
Yes your point is right, but I will prefer to wait for some extra time for my transactions to confirm than paying extra fee for same transaction.

Re: Will you quit your day job to go full time on bitcoin?
by

on 15/08/2015, 06:08:42 UTC
I will never do such a thing.
This is a very bad idea.
I know that it sounds amazing, but it will become boring to sit at home all time on computer.

And why don't you create a poll to see the results Huh

Why does having a job related to bitcoin mean you sit on your ass all day?
Bitcoin is just a currency you can do any sort of project, marketing, etc with it.
how to do that without any computer Huh
Any explanation Huh
For me it is very risky though to quit my job and work 100% for Bitcoin.

If I were you, then I would have kept my Bitcoins in a secret place and never told anyone that I'm having one Bitcoin.
Because many people try to scam others.
And never ever invest in a Ponzi scheme or gamble with it.

Just keep collecting your coins.
I think that next spike will be near the time of halving in July 2016.
Till then, I don't think that any spike can take place.

First I prefer Bitcoin and by trading I will earn money and store it in the form of gold.
Both of these assets have a good market and according to me, it will never end.

I will pick both up.
First I prefer Bitcoin and by trading I will earn money and store it in the form of gold.
So this is my master plan for both of these assets.

Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin
by
Andy4.4
on 15/08/2015, 05:18:19 UTC
I think bitcoins grows more widely  it has more advantages than banks or other sources. It is like a government facility and can enjoy in bitcoins. Smiley

That's why governments and big institutions will not allow bitcoins grow in wider range. They try their best to limit bitcoin growth.

Governments will either try to pass more and more licenses like BitLicense or will try to start their own cryptocurrency.
if government start their own Cryptocurrency then it will give Bitcoin more promotion and which the government doesn't want to happen.
With 2 halvings in near future Bitcoin prices will definitely increase, but it's too early to predict the prices.

Re: Why is Bitcoin value more Volatile?

Currently major wealth of bitcoin is limited to a few hands only.
So they try to manipulate the prices and creates pumps and dumps.
But after mass adaption in future,  the prices will become stable and we will see the true price of Bitcoin.
Yes, I'm also waiting for mass adaption very badly.
Till then I'm increasing my stock of bitcoins.
The prices are always controlled by whales and those rascals always play with our money.

Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter?
by
Andy4.4
on 15/08/2015, 05:07:18 UTC
I love bitcoins.
But due to my personal costs and some mining, I periodically sell my Bitcoins for cash for paying my bills and the rent of my room.
So for me Bitcoin and it's price both matters.

by

I use bitcoins because they provide anonymity, easily accessible and with low transaction fees.
I don't like PayPal or any other methods because we have to give them our personal information and also that the transaction fee is very high.

Re: If you didn't get paid for your signature, would you still care about Bitcoin?
by
Andy4.4
on 15/08/2015, 05:00:38 UTC
Ugh look at all the signatures on this thread!
I don't have a signature. I post because I believe Bitcoin is the future and I want to learn more.

And for the record, I do not click on signatures.

Hahaha, yes. This comment is it! This thread is essentially a list of people with signature ads! I mean, that's what the OP is asking for, but still...it's a who's who of campaigners saying "nah, mate, theses campaigns are dust...just a nice side benefit.

I like it when people are admitting they post more. I'll do the same, I post more due to my signature ad campaign. I hope all of my posts are helpful (that's certainly my intent.) and I'd still be on the Forum, I just wouldn't be posting as much.

Cheers.
Signature campaigns encourage us to post more and more, but some others(maybe me also) posts nonsense many a times to increase their post count per week to acquire more bitcoins from signature campaign.
But everything is fair in love and war and bitcoin also.

Is anyone really pathetic enough to be "interested in bitcoin" for like 10 dollars a week? Seriously? That sounds really lame.

My sign campaign ended last week, but I'm still here, and my sig is still here (too lazy to remove it).

But if you were to change your question to being in it for the money, I would say yes. I'm not a libertarian, I fundamentally don't care if bitcoin succeeds or not. But I hope that I could make a good return from it succeeding, therefore I support it.

You lost me at "for like 10 dollars a week", but what does Libertarian have to do with Bitcoin?

There's a few people calling my post or poll a stupid question, but you all should be thanking me! I gave you all a reason to add one more constructive post to your count, tips are appreciated - see my profile for my BTC address.
Yes, your topic is also in my watchlist and I love to post here.
Nice idea to increase our post count per week.
There are also many posts which are nonsense and people are still posting there and their pages have grown more than 59. WTF is happening on the forum Huh

absolutly not

did you not know ??

it is hardcoded into the source code by Satoshi himself (or so the rumor goes) that the bitcoins can somehow detect the sex of the user and if they have ovaries or other female organs the whole f'ing system just shuts down and everything !!!

for real !!

it's a 'guy' thing  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

if you dont believe me see this photo showing the leaders of Argentina, Chile, Brazil today vs. back in the 1970s

LOL.
It is a computer thing and a computer cannot detect the sex of an individual without any sensors.
So your post is just a troll and nothing else.

Re: Bitcoin gambling
by

I think that there is no need to take licence for it.
Because I have seen most of the bitcoin gambling sites don't have gambling licence.
And also the site you are going to run is a non profit site, so there is no need for a license.

Currently, I don't think any of the bitcoin gambling site is licensed.
So far no legal action is taken against those sites.
And government agencies also not give it a damm.

Re: Faucets Legality
by

on 15/08/2015, 04:24:31 UTC
Anyone can start faucets, there is no big deal in making a faucet.
And yes the faucet owners have to file in income tax about the earnings from faucets, because in case of moonbitco.in it is making more than enough of what they are paying their users. So yes according to me you should also specify the income from faucets to be on safe side.

My personal favorite is electrum.
Because it is easy to synchronize after a new installation, merely any or two.
If Bitcoin qt would also have same functionality then I would have switched to it till now.
