Re: How To Make Extra Money During Quarantine

Good question! Well, depends of your life situation, but I am gladly suggesting you to be open for the emerging industries and specialize in easy-to-be-done remotely jobs (writing, developing, playing, advising, research, marketing, community management, support..). Also, depends are you into passive earning (trading, staking), Play to earn (gameFi and NFT Game sector), or want to really work(in that case, try both part time, per project and full time to find whats the most suitable for you).

As a very easy to be used & land the job - I can only suggest what I'm using:
Linkedin (jobs, connections' contact and search for posts where professionals asks for help), join Groups as well;
CryptoTask blockchain jobs platform
Telegram groups (such as https://t.me/blockchain_headhunter) with many job offers daily

And, be careful - you might land the dream job Smiley)

Off! Thats the beauty of internet Smiley But, it comes with cons (safety, working almost every day, finding the proper platform, trust) and pros (many opportunities, low fees, learning opportunity, passive earning opportunity).

For some time now I'm involved into blockchain industry, as marketing specialist - and, honestly, that's how I switched to freelancing. I used many different platforms (from Upwork to freelancer and fiver) and no way - they are super expensive. Thus, I start researching and trying out different solutions and found cryptotask.org as the proper one, because of blockchain related job posts, and super low fees (and crypto payments)!

So, briefly - yes, there are plenty ways to earn money online, but make sure:
1 - use use reputable platform
2 - you are flexible (payment, work)
3 - you present your skills and have proven portfolio
4 - take care of work-life balance so your online work is not 24/7 sitting in front of laptop
5 - try different industries

once you feel the beauty of it - its never enough! Smiley)

Yes! And honestly, only thanks to new emerging job platforms which allow crypto payments. It's super fast, plus if you are interested in blockchain industry - and crypto itself - it gives you opportunity to additionally earn on holding or staking. I tried everything out there, but recently cryptotask platform integrated escrow system (like Upwork is having) but with much much less fees - so its my preference atm

(crypto payment related to work aspect)

Have you considered some job platforms which allows us, freelancers, to be employed and paid in crypto? I mean, yes, employer must agree to proceed with process there, and be aware about crypto. But, in order to become mainstream, we should always ask them/present them solution - because it us wu=in for them, and us (taxes, fees, speed of transaction). moreover, Escrow system! Trust is very important aspect.

Re: What Happened to Aeternity Community and it's development team???

After the first three planned hard forks of æternity network namely Minerva (March 2019) Fortuna, (June 2019) and Lima (October 2019) the core dev team has been continuously working on improving the network and after those three previously defined updates, this will be the first not previously planned update which changes consensus rules and therefore will be conditioned by a positive community vote.

The whole æternity community has the chance to vote on the Iris Hard Fork, also known as Release 6.0. As with any hard fork, this is an important crossroad in the journey of æternity, and it is essential that as many of us as possible have a say in directing which way our blockchain is going to go.

Re: The return of ICOs
by
Ani_

With this Defi hype, yes, I believe ICO's comeback is possible. People started investing in projects once again, and almost every Defi project is raising money from the ICO sale, not IEO! Oikos Defi was sold more than 50% through ICO; even they raised 2 Million USD from the presale! Recent DIA Defi managed enough investors for their private sale and bonding sale! People left ICO because scammers ruined that, but when good startups are coming with unique technology, people do not fear to invest in those ICO sales!

Agreed! We should not stop counting on the ICO model just because some scammers used to ICOs*, and use it for the personal financial gain.

* ICOs plan and program became 'the same for every project'. As a template. List of documentation, airdrop, bounty, 2-3 ICO raising stages, and that's it. Without putting effort into security, technology innovations and product. Scammers oversaw it, and used to this 'roadmap' and many ICO pages built on the Wordpress instead of custom coded web-page (security)...and used the situation. It can happen and will happen all the time. But this should be only the motivation for projects - how to overcome scamming situation and offer even better ICO mode and roadmap to the community.

Re: Bounty or Airdrop kill project?
by
Ani_
on 05/08/2020, 00:45:00 UTC
no, bounties and airdrops never kill projects, tokens for bounties and airdrops are less than 2%, while the bonuses that investors get are far more than the bounty and airdrop allocations. those who dump on the exchange are of course investors, but if the project is good and there is a lot of demand in the market, the project will not experience a dump
The hunters needed a lot of time before their can receive their payments too and then that doesn't make sense to attack the hunters that become the main causes for all of the dumps that happened in altcoins. Some people have made wrong accusations about this.
their effort so hard for months, and even some project need complexe task. if price dumped in market its not totally be bounty hunter fault, they already work hard and ofcourse want to get best reward. so its not totally true if many people blamed them. we must appreciate bounty hunter and give good support for them

Agreed. That's how hunters lost hope and does not trust projects anymore. On the other side, projects can not do anything without bounty hunters because, at the end of the day - those people, willing to be the first on the market to help projects & work for tokens, are the best foundation of the community and user database.

Hope things gonna change because trust is the main value of the blockchain tech.

ICOs do not exist in this market, there are so many scam projects in the past and it makes people lose faith in ICOs. Now we have IEO, and it's a good way to help new projects raise funds and keep investors safe when they want to invest in new projects.
ICO is still exist in this market and people have already started to build their trust again with the trusted icos and mostly people have been forgetting to deal with the scam ico and scammers can't do the old trick again.
Some IEO have become scam IEO too and this time investors are looking for a trusted project whatever it's ICO or IEO
ICO and IEO are always the 2 most risky investments in this market, but for now IEO seems to be better because if guaranteed is listed, investors may not spend too much time waiting. However, you should only choose high liquidity exchanges like Binance, Kucoin or Okex because these are places where you can make a profit and 100% you can liquidate at any time if you like.
IEO is only at risk if you participate in the IEO of small exchanges in this market. Like P2PB2B, Latoken and Chainx exchanges, these are scam exchanges and you will definitely lose money when investing in projects there.

True. plus many more...they play with projects and keep them busy with that so they can not work on their product and other processes...just fighting with a scam. sad

I do not see the glory of the ICO will rise, because in my opinion the ICO fund collection model is not suitable and the time is over. The track record of many bad ICOs and the need for available market guarantees is what investors need. The fundraising model for starup will continue to change dynamically.

Most ICOs ultimately did not even have a real product and tried to rely on the community which are willing but not knowledgable in these types of investments. All projects that are willing to bring some value to the market and users won't go to the ICO without (at least) MVP. ... Furthermore, the ICO is more suited for making an initial community, not just to raise money.

Agree. Plus, projects tend to present their ICO/IEOs as a product...it is not. It's just a cost-effective pre-funding model which can save the time-to-market and help to build a community.

I do not agree. Going straight to listings, without proper time-to-market or product, directly influence the growth of scam/bot exchanges. The basic idea of the model is very good: credibility, price stability, access to exchange's data userbase, crowd sale is hosted on the exchange...but this gave huge power to exchanges, without proper regulation/licensing.

I've supported projects to communicate the value (brand/marketing), and helped one of the 1st biggest ICOs in 2017 to raise funds...and more than 15 ICOs and IEOs, and 2 STOs till now...and must say that IEOs make me more problems than ICOs. Why: 1 - bot exchanges, 2 - fees are amazingly high to withdraw money plus they push you to go public with them and than to give you raised funds, 3 - projects are rashing to exchange without vision, product, users..which further led to the extreme numbers of projects listed so users do not know how to recognize a good one, worth investing...

What happened is that companies tend to choose 'the model which works' no matter is it the right one for their business. We can see that everywhere - exploitation of 'what works' until it becomes a scam.

It is sad that happened, but i do hope things will come to its place...will that be ICO/IEO or fundraise...there is substantial room for improvement in the cryptocurrency-based fundraising ecosystem.

Re: Fair Value
by
Ani_
on 29/10/2019, 14:06:50 UTC
Most coins have no NAV (Net Asset Value) that would back their price, so to derive a fair value is incredibly hard. There are models like the one formalized by Chris Burniske (https://medium.com/@cburniske/cryptoasset-valuations-ac83479ffca7), but this is based on monetary supply theory and can only be used to derive a lower bound for the price.

I have noticed some of the new altcoins are being backed by assets like gold, charcoal, renewable energy,  oil and petroleum as they want their price to be based on their backed assets rather than just demand and supply which can be easily manipulated and it's good to see assets backed coin entering the market which might be a game changer if managed well.

The current valuations are mostly based on speculation, not the actual GDP that's being produced using them, so it gets even harder. This is why - across the field - technical analysis is what most analysts are sticking to.

There are some new altcoins which are backed by assets like gold  charcoal,  renewable energy, oil and petroleum etc which might be the game changer as there as they will not be dependent on just demand and supply which is prone to manipulation rather they have real products to be bases upon. More investors will be attracted to these assets backed crypto than traditional one.

Yeah! That's what took my attention too. Creating way bigger ecosystem and opportunitites

Our platform integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) analytics that provides fair value pricing dynamically to counterparties in a trade, based on current & retrospective market data.

The platform intends to effectively remove all forms of friction in the user experience present in conventional exchanges, such as fund deposits/withdrawals, multiple tier identity verifications, and wallet security concerns; allowing investors to fully focus on trading activities.

how can anyone know exactly when to buy and sell, it is only a prediction and all predictions are not necessarily true. if you want predictions from people, you can join a group that talks about pumps or something.
but here no one can be trusted because there is no guarantee that what he said is true. So be wise in making choices.

yeah, of course they are not true, people tend to think they know everything....Cheesy in this fast changing world, i hope some smart ai will help people to make better choice, not gossips or predictions

Good point! But, an analysis by Accenture indicates that between 2018 and 2022, banks that invest in AI and human-machine collaboration at the same rate as top-performing businesses could boost their revenue by an average of 34 percent. AI’s application is proven to improve efficiencies or customer outcomes and our software-development team is working hard to achieve a human-machine collaborated future in derivatives trading — to help people trade better, with ease and peace of mind. Shortly, our Fairsense AI analyzes trade intent patterns of users on the platform and matchmakes or suggests them to counterparty users. Specification is available here - https://level01.io/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/level01_whitepaper_final1-2.pdf

And, here's a bit longer article about AI influence on derivatives market: https://level01.io/2018/11/20/derivatives-trading-is-on-the-edge-of-a-new-world-with-artificial-intelligence-on-level01/

Also, we're helping retail investors, people like you, to access the global derivatives market through a secure, trustworthy, automated and intelligent trading environment on Level01. This decentralises the paradigm of investment in all kinds of derivatives including options, stocks, bonds, and commodities and can fundamentally change the investment ecosystem.

Btw, great topic!

Interesting! I read on the article, the WP Document is a bit too industry professional for my understanding, but as I can see your platform allow investors/traders ''to simultaneously compete for the best offers without imposing them with a requirement to have their own algorithms for price estimation and having them continuously updating the quote manually.'' If I understand good, that means we can trade even if we are new in this? Because if we can see the Fair Value graph all the time - I do not need to have some super knowledge or understanding about options and derivates trading to try? Also, I am interested is it possible to buy/sell smart contracts?

@Red-Apple please check because I agree with your comment that ''AI in its advanced way it not that advanced to do anything this complicated ''!

Hello,

I am creating this topic to understand is it possible to achieve the fair value while trading (crypto, gold, derivatives...)? I am conducting a research at the moment, because its crazy how market can go up and down, and (after all) there are some trading strategies named 'The Fair Value Trading Strategy' like this one: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/fair-value-trading-strategy-explained-153843774.html and definition from Zacks (https://finance.zacks.com/difference-between-premarket-futures-fair-value-10349.html) ''fair value is the futures rate before market opening adjusted for purchasing shares at the opening.''

So, my question is - do you know some platform or solution which can assist us to find out when the ''fair-value'' trading moment is? Or, does anyone has some tip? Advise needed. Thanks!

Fair value is a concept that seems really good on paper to form trading signals, but in reality, probably doesn't even exist.

After all, at any given moment, the fair value is really just the market value of an asset. The demand and supply come together to form the market value, and that should be the market's equilibrium and that given moment.

I'd say just look at sentiment for starters, if you want to find whether a coin is overvalued or undervalued. If sentiment is bullish and people are FOMOing, then the coin is likely to be extremely overvalued, and vice versa. Finding "fair value" requires a ton of modelling that I don't think casual traders are simply up for.

After reading ??$190 Million in Crypto Gone Forever, How Canada?s Biggest Bitcoin Exchange Lost it All?? or ??Exit Scam? Crypto Exchange Delists High-Profile Tokens & Users Allege Sell-Off??, of course the trust if questioned. Constant manipulations and fraudulence are devastating the market.

There are not such sites Exist as far as I know. If there are they probably not that correct. In Crypto things like Fair Value doesn't Work. Because the market is not regulated so the manipulation is at their best. There is no away a project who Raised over $80M in their token sale lost value of 98% it's because they sold everything they had and did not deliver anything they promised.

I just read this article and found very interesting knowledge ''Guide to Determining Fair Market Value (FMV) for Cryptocurrency Assets''

Full read here - https://cryptforensic.com/2019/01/10/guide-to-determining-fair-market-value-fmv-for-cryptocurrency-assets/

Nice. This is valuable! But I am interested in all kinds of popular assets classes such as Currencies, Stocks, Commodities, Index, and (of course) Cryptocurrencies. But not only crypto. I am looking for a solution where I can invest with crypto in other financial asset. I was reading that now, with smart contacts, trust and probability has much better scores, since all transactions are visible. Also, If it's possible to buy an option with crypto, through smart contract...if anyone know any option/heard about solution - please, suggest

this strategy with all its definitions and any other trading strategy that you can find out there are all defined for a market that has little to no manipulation in it. markets such as stocks market, gold market,... which even though have manipulation but the power of it is minimal.
but when a market (like the altcoin market) is dominated by manipulation and is completely unpredictable no strategy could work in it no matter the type of it.

True Sad Thats what scares me. In those situations only experience helps...or, like the member above posted, AI Smiley I do believe AI algorithms will help us, at least, not to have tension or market manipulation
