Re: Have you ever done something crazy to bet?
by
Aniel Jay
on 10/06/2024, 11:38:54 UTC
Hi community,

I remember when I was in middle school, we used to play cards almost every day, and our stupidity reached the point where we would skip classes while we were inside school. The method of playing was easy, as the largest number was the winning card. So, some of my friends and I would gather in the middle school bathroom and make bets with the money that we had collected  from selling cigarettes.
Of course, this is not something I am proud of and I do not recommend it to everyone, but it's just childhood memories .

-Have you ever bet at the wrong place and the wrong time?

During my time in high school, we didn't have access to a mobile phone, we only begged our seniors to help us place a bet in the betting shops, but these days I bet from the comfort of my home, but there's this neighbour of mine that bet in a crazy way, if he bet on about 7 games and the first one cut he will rebet the remaining 6 and the trend continues till the ticket finally cut.

Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions?
by

on 07/06/2024, 19:52:17 UTC
A gambling expert brought i and some friends a guaranteed predicted game and asked us to stake a a high amount so that we winning could be huge and so we can give him a percentage of the money at winning.

I don't believe there could be a 100% guaranteed game but yet my friends who are eager to make profits in the gambling accepted to play the gamed as instructed and at the end of it, they all loosed the game and at then, the rest of us were happy because we didn't play the game else we would had loosed as others.

I want to ask, do you believe in experts gambling predictions?

Yes and NO. sometimes I go with their predication when I am too lazy to predict myself, most times I prefer to take my time and predict after gathering some stats

Re: Is getting addicted to gambling right or wrong?
by
Aniel Jay
on 06/06/2024, 21:04:34 UTC
Gambling addiction is process in which an individual cannot control their urge in gambling even when they tend to lose. They are willing to sacrifice their most valuable assets with the hope of winning. A story was told of a young man in my community who used his only son for gambling because he was so addicted that he can't do without gambling in a day. he can do anything when it comes to gambling. I also know people who are wealthy today through gambling. So, is it wrong to be too addicted to gambling? how can it be control or how can one manage gambling?

Personally, I believe gambling should be seen as a game, not a habit or an easy access to wealth, " using son as a bet" is the height of it, People should learn about gambling before they start, the same way we learnt about careers, we should learn the act of gambling.

Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor.
by
Aniel Jay
on 05/06/2024, 09:31:35 UTC
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.

Aside from luck, the rich have a greater staking power than the poor, the poor will want to win big with little staking power with a bigger odd which makes the gambling more risky but the rich will pick a small odd and stake a huge amount. In the end, luck also plays a better chance.

What is your opinion towards my research that online casino gambling has more of possesed players who stakes to make profits while the land base gambling is more of players who stakes for funs?

You are not far from the truth, though I have never used the land base casino I have an uncle then who will leave home and spend almost the entire day at the casino hall, the online is just for stake, play and take profit, you can't socialise, maybe when the metaverse is in full operation we can start enjoying the online casinos.

Re: After losing the money in gambling, what is your strategy
by
Aniel Jay
on 28/05/2024, 22:39:32 UTC
The gambling is the game with both the possibility, but most of us fail to understand the possibility of losing in the gambling. So if the gambler get into the gambling,in the behalf he had agreed to lose the capital on their bad luck. Some new gamblers most feel this way of thinking after the loss in the gambling, but the experienced gamblers will ready to move on,because they know with their knowledge he can make the big money in some day.One if my friends had loss nearly 2000$ in the gambling, because of his loss even his family suffered a lot in financially.Even his family not able to afford to pay their rent for their house for the few months.

I had suggested my friend to quit gambling and I had feel that he totally get addicted to the gambling.Which was the cause for the many high risk to get into the complete loss. But he clarify me,he had loss the money because he had follow the same betting strategy with the changing algorithm of the gambling site. From his experience,I had learned we should not follow the same betting style for the changing algorithm.

Now he had decided to start the gambling again with the loan money to balance the previous loss of 2000$.What is your opinion on this,I had suggested him to go to the regular job to reduce the loan in step by step to reduce the loan burden. But he had word of “We can earn,Where we had loss everything “.Share your opinion on this.

He's addicted, he needs help, recommend him to see a therapist, and always check on him, don't scold him much if you do, he will hide it from you, taking a loan to play gamble is the height of it because its not guarantee that he will win. just be there for him.

Re: Do you think casinos can stop demanding KYC?
by
Aniel Jay
on 25/05/2024, 20:23:19 UTC
Casinos existed without the need for KYC's until the government made it a requirement, and they started demanding it. IMO If the government no longer requires casinos to do KYC verification for new gamblers, casinos will go ahead and still do KYC verifications because they have seen the benefits of knowing their customers better than when they just allowed people to come onto their platform and gamble without their knowledge of who they were. What do you think? Do you think some casino's will revert back to non-KYC and allow money launderers, plus other fraudulent people have their easy way with them as a way to attract customers, or since they recognize the personal benefits of KYC to their casino, will continue demanding it even if it affects their customers?

I won't encourage casino platforms to stop demanding KYC. KYC help keep users in check and also helps eliminate underage gamblers, like you said if the government should stop asking for these KYC some casinos will stop asking new users for KYC, normally most users don't like the stress of doing KYC due to the stress or having all the necessary documents.

Re: Can soccer players collaborate with gamblers to help them win there bet?
by

on 24/05/2024, 20:40:06 UTC
Lucas paqueta just got charged by the FA for allegedly bridging betting rules. According to report, it's believed that he intentionally took yellow cards in some key matches just so some gamblers can profit from there betting.

I know wrestling and boxing are the popular sports where fixed matches is dominant but has this gotten to football we're players can intentionally foul an opponents just to be penalized with a yellow card? If this is true,  what's now the faith of proper sports? If players can't take out there personal interest out of sports and just do thier part which gives gamblers a neutral ground to thread on, then we've got a lot of problems in the sector.

What's your view on this, is it possible that such alligatoin might be true?

Some of these allegations are true some are false but before we conclude let's wait for a proper investigation, they should look at the player's background and gambling history

Casino Gambling vs Sport Betting, Lets Discuss

The intention of this thread is for interaction and discussion purpose, which i believe that most of us here were on this section because we have been gambling before or are intending to be a gambler, so for learning purpose, i will like us to give our genuine opinion on what we understand by the two comparison of what sport betting is and what casino gambling also, this will help familiarized our new gamblers in having more understanding on their differences or similarities for the purpose of knowledge.

Starting from my own end, here is my definition and understanding between the two.

Casino Gambling involves Playing games that are base on luck factor and sometimes our skills also work out in this, it does not involve live event.

Sport Betting simply means, playing on live matches which involves you and a particular player or team against each other.

And as according to research, you can also see the various opinions given on what the two stands for and their respective examples in which constitute each category.

Quote
Sports betting
Sports betting is a form of gambling that involves betting on the result of a sporting event. The bet can be placed on the victory, defeat or draw of a team or athlete.

Casino Gambling
In a casino, you can indulge in gambling in different ways. The way it works, the chances of winning, and also the amount of luck or skill involved, differ from game to game.

https://rugbyobserver.co.uk/lifestyle/sports-betting-vs-casino-gambling-what-are-the-differences/#:~:text=Both%20betting%20and%20casino%20gambling,of%20winning%20through%20expert%20knowledge.

I believe everybody has his or her preference when it comes to this, I have been playing sports betting right after secondary school especially popular sports like football, but in casino gambling, you will need more knowledge esp. if you grew up in areas where people don't play casinos much. I'm in the process of learning more on the casino side.

Re: Does gambling excites you ?

Hi,

There are always things that we are passionate about doing, such as video games, football, basketball, and sports in general, meaning that everyone has something that excites them and makes them want to do.
Like others, I get very excited when I sit down, take my phone, and start my bets. This does not mean that I am addicted, but rather I find it more comfortable and I have more fun.

Does gambling excites you? What motivates you, winning or just the fun in it ?

I don't get excited while playing or booking the games I only get excited if my games are going well and have just few left to winning, I will be on my phone refreshing live feed

Re: Why do people lose in gambling and still go ahead and bet more?
by
Aniel Jay
on 20/05/2024, 22:54:13 UTC
I've a friend of mine who always complain that ever since he started gambling he haven't won a good amount, instead he'll be winning less money than what he expected but he can't stop. So I'm asking what do you suggest he should do at this case. For me I told him that he should know that gambling it's a game of risk and luck, but with the constant betting you might win the amount you've at mind someday. So what are your suggestions towards this.

He should take a break and he should talk to people about this issue, he believes he will win to recover all his losses, he might take so many risks just to win but gambling is a game of luck.

Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble?
by
Aniel Jay
on 17/05/2024, 10:41:44 UTC
Does gambling needs experience or anyone +18, even the inexperienced one can also play? Though playing gamble has a limited age grade or age bracket and the accepted is from  +18 years and there are some casinos hall at the door post, it is written clearly that it is only people of +18 can play. But what about the inexperienced ones, are they allowed to play gamble as well? Or they are also restricted to have the fun? In my observation, there are two elements to participate in gambling. One, you must above 18 years in my country and secondly you must have an experience to play, so I want to know if inexperienced people can also play gamble.

I don't think there's anything like gambling experience before one can start gambling, but 18 years and above is a law in most countries these days some young lads boy cut this law because of the introduction of online gambling, some of these platforms don't carry out a proper KYC for their users, you can't start asking gambler how experienced are you before you let them play, it's not a job interview.

Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble?
by
Aniel Jay
on 16/05/2024, 14:20:33 UTC
Because nowadays the younger ones take gambling more seriously then school. Yesterday i got back home early so I decided to step out and go to a betting shop to catch some fun while gambling, I saw two teenagers gambling with their school uniforms on them.

I asked someone besides me why did they allow this boy's to come in with their uniforms and gamble, he said did they put any restrictions that younger ones are not allowed to gamble. I said but it's not normal, I replied him what if this are your kids would you be happy seeing them gambling with their uniforms on them. So what do you guys think about this situation at hand now.

All gambling must still at least possess that sense of decency.

Back in the days when we had no access to online gambling platforms, we were unable to enter the betting shops because it was restricted for persons under the age of 18, especially in secondary school then but we usually hid or begged an elderly person to help stake our bet for us, though at first, they'll be reluctant but after few warnings they will help us play.

But these days people are more concerned about making profits, they don't care who's playing, they will tell you if I don't allow him to play here, he will definitely go use the online platform.

It's good we guide our younger ones on the risk of gambling and the addiction part of it.

Re: Do you prefer the crypto online gambling or regular fiat casinos gambling?
by
Aniel Jay
on 13/05/2024, 21:04:00 UTC
I prefer money, strongly. When you gamble with money, you are *risking* money for a chance to win money. It is always a losing proposition. But it’s not the same as *spending* the money. If I walk into a casino with a $50 bankroll, and I walk out of the casino an hour later with $40, then I’ve had a good night. Cause losing the the money will be okay for you but on the process that you won as will you'll enjoyed more than coins, you won't have to trade anything at the moment.

But gambling with coins will involves of spending more money on the play coins. Which have no value or gain at the moment (if they have value, they wouldn't be play coins, they do just be different kind of currency) So, you’re paying for the privilege of risking something of no value in the hopes of winning something of no value. That doesn’t even count as gambling anymore; that’s paying a fee for the privilege of keeping score on a random number generator. What's your own opinion towards this?
Aside from the issues of volatility in the cryptocurrency, I prefer crypto online gambling to fiat  casino gambling, because crypto online gambling is decentralised and you don't need to be seen in the casino shop every time you want to gamble.

The rich have more staking power ( funds) than the poor, a rich man will use a huge amount of money to stake little odds while the poor will use a little amount to stake huge odds and he will be so bullish to win, the bigger the odds the fewer chances of winning.

Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling?
by
Aniel Jay
on 08/05/2024, 22:09:20 UTC
Greetings everyone and happy new year all!

Okay, today I was actually out for a little business and it happens that I almost spent all my time wasted without me even having a smooth deal, but along the line I have few games that I have placed a bet and was wanting to view my games from my phone since gambling is now mobile, what I meant by mobile is that you can access your account at any place provided that you have an internet connectivity you will login to monitor your matches.

So when I logged in, someone close to me easily peep from my left hand side and noticed that I just opened my account monitoring my games, at this point what he said is "ahh you don join dem"? Meaning you have also belong to the groups of people that gambles?

On a lighter note, I just smile and asked him if there is anything wrong while gambling or while monitoring my games and he said nothing but just that few people he knew that are gambling almost turned useless.

This now triggered me to come ask here whether you cares about what people says or sees you as when gambling, I know there are people who don't know you from time or who doesn't believe that you are a gambler and if it happens that you came across such people and their reaction towards you goes other way round would you care about it or you just totally ignore them?

Let's discuss amicably

There were a time when I used to care about what people thought of me, then when I was a student, especially if I visited the betting shop, once I came out, I would always look down when I saw people looking at me but after I graduated from Uni, I started playing on my mobile phones, I will open the site in the public places without caring about what they will say, because while I was in school none of them helped me so why should I cared so much about their opinions, the only thing I care about is not to be addicted.

you can make quality posts and then submit them to the merit application thread on your local board (there should be one). and again, your account is only 2 months old, there's no need to rush to get merit, just improve your posts first and increase discussions with other users, later you will also get merit. and never make posts with AI, this is a forum for humans to discuss, not a place for artificial intelligence to talk.

Hello everyone, I have been here for a few weeks/months now but I'm yet to receive "merit" so I'm just worried, please can someone tell me what I will need to do or how long I will need to be here for before I get merit and other rewards?
To paraphrase, this is what you need to do to receive merits - make high quality posts and replies. If a user likes it and wants to say think you, encourage you, agrees with your point, and even disagree with your point, they can give you merits for it. If you want to move up the ranks you need merits.

For you now, your neutral tag says you write with the assistance of AI. You won't get any merits if you continue doing so as no user will want to encourage that behaviour which is against forum rules where you do not state that you got assistance from an AI software. Start from there and improve on your post quality and in a matter of time, you will be recognized for this and awarded some merits.

Look at this inforgraphics on merits to help you better understand -

Move your topic to the beginners and help board.
