I would have a question.

Since you are not using ETH, you have no contract to sell tokens. How will you do then?
Will you use your website, an address to collect investments or something more original?

I will be waiting for your answer! Smiley

Have a good day!

What is the price of 1eth / shopeo?
This seems interesting
I will participate Cool
ICO start date from 1st - August 17th
first hour ICO start 1ETH = 2000 SHP
rest of first day 1 ETH = 1500 SHP
second and third day 1 ETH = 1250 SHP
four, five, six and seven day 1 ETH = 1000 SHP

Was looking for this  Grin

These are not the actual values. Please take note the correct rate is 1 ETH = 4000 ETH.

Nice to get a clarification from the developpement team. Now I know how much it will cost and I am seriously think about investing. Looks like a solid project. I will of course wait to see a bit more considering it is for now a bit empty Roll Eyes...

Re: Why the transaction price of bitcoin so high?
by

on 26/07/2017, 11:17:55 UTC
For me it is so high because the Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Unlimited, Bitcoin XT, Bitcoin Classic cartel is spamming the network in order to enforce their proposals, which are mainly destroying Core and increasing the blocksize limit.

Re: Buy new altcoins in ICO stage = profit?

I remember that some that some "study" was conducted here by some members. The result were if you invested the same amount in all the major ICOs since the beginning of the year, you would be at a profit. And that would be even bigger if you selected only the good ones.

Yeah, I recall something similar: random 10 picks, even if  8 dies, 2 that make >5x profit more than covers everything. Of course, who has enough to make 10 picks. I don't even have 1 BTC and with majority ICOs in ETH, I hesitate to change BTC to ETH.

I don't think there is any kind of restriction on the minimum investment, as long as it is realistic (so not 5000 satoshis). For this reason, instead of 1BTC you could put 0,1BTC, or even 0,05BTC per ICO. Or even less if you do not have this.

Re: Bitcoin Cash trading well. Bitcoin's future uncertain.

It's still a fake bitcoin.

The only real one is bitcoin unlimited infinity classic pwnzor plus with a 320tb block size.

no. the real bitcoin is not bitcoin unlimited, nor bitcoin classic, not bitcoin xt, nor bitcoin cash, nor any other names they will come up with in the future.

the real bitcoin is what the majority of the network accepts as bitcoin with certain consensus rules and the minority (meaning the handful of public figures trying the takeover) need to accept it and respect the majority even if they think they are wrong.

This was pure humour mate Cheesy !

Anyway, you need to make a distinction about what the majority is. If for you the majority means the miners, we are in a very bad situation, since there is near a monopoly on the ASICs production, and the only producer, that probably has thousand of units waiting to jump on Bitcoin Scam Cash, will be mining BCC...

the majority is the combination of miners, developers, nodes, all the people owning any bitcoin, all the businesses that are working with bitcoin, all the service providers such as wallets, etc. and all of these are with bitcoin not bitcash or any alternative.

and as a matter of fact miners are not interested in a forked altcoin. there is only ViaBTC which also has the coin listed on their self made exchange. even bitmain said ViaBTC is on their own and they are honoring the NYA with SegWit2x.

and the miner's ASIC production is not free.
their electricity is not free either.
their taxes are not zero either
the employee payments are not zero either
the contracts they have to be able to mine are not free either.

and all this needs a profitable operation on bitcoin with high price not an alternative chain with tokens worth $100 and falling.

Yeah, in fact it is not free, but currently the situation is that Bitmain announced its intention to fork. And what is sure is that they have a big stock of money and ASICs already ready to mine. They probably have hundreds of thousand of Antminer S10 that will be used to mine their BCC.

The price of BCC is still low, but I think what they except is to profit from this, accumulate, and with the game of "I have more hashrate than you", makes BCC the main chain in term of hashrate.

My theory has a lot of "if" but still this is probably, but I frankly hope not.

Re: 10 ETH or 1 BTC?

I would definitely choose 1 BTC over 10 ETH. Some say it's not advisable to hold BTC with the incoming event on August 1. I personally think that I should hold BTC instead of ETH. The potential of BTC is higher than the potential of ETH on raising the price.

But what about what I said ? The trick is to get more bitcoins at the end. For this you buy ETH using fiat money - and this is very important ! - and then you win in both because the amount of indirect bitcoins you bought increase because ETH price increases, and in term of fiat you are winning too because Bitcoin price rose.

Monero is a bit the Linux of the crypto-currencies. It is the best but yet the most complicated and not at all user-friendly. The day there will a working GUI and people accepting it, the price will sky-rocket.

If you are investing using fiat money, just go with Ethereum. There is a simple reason for it : your Ethereum value will increased in BTC, and your Bitcoin value will increase in USD. Thus you will end up having a double win which you would have not on Bitcoin alone.

Claymore miner is not an open-source software, it is proprietary, this is what makes people unable to bypass his fee. So the best is still to ask him directly for the kernel, but I frankly doubt you will get a positive answer.

The original rule applied for the altcoin section, where you were not allowed to make giveaways in altcoins. Since they are in the marketplace section, it is qualified as a micro-job. Moreover, no address is posted in the thread, and there is no pay stated at the advance. This is just like corruption, it needs a defined amount for a defined service.

Re: Should ICOs without blockchains be removed from Alternate Cryptocurrencies forum
by
Anno MMXVI
on 26/07/2017, 10:19:10 UTC
I don't it would be possible to remove ICO's from this forum at all. Bitcointalk is financially supported by ICO's - now we can see ICO advertisements in forum ad spaces. Why they would need to cut off branch on which they are sitting now.
I would agree if ICO's would have their sub-forum, to separate it from usual coins. Because now on Altcoin announcement board we see almost only ICO's.

Yes it would. We can easily disallow them and trash their threads. And how is the forum financially supported by icos? They pay absolutely nothing to the forum to post or promote themselves here unless they purchase advertising space and most do not. Most just pre mine a load of worthless tokens and dish them out to anybody who can be bothered to sign up and post the most basic of crap or copy and paste somebody else's responses. The level of spam and issues they contribute to the workload of staff is insane and they should be held responsible for that. If they're not just banned outright they should all have to pay something to advertise here because they shouldn't be allowed to advertise for free (which is crazy in itself) and it certainly shouldn't be at the expense of the forum when they do next to nothing about poor posters.

In fact it does generated a big trafic in term of pageviews, and that make forum ads more and more valuable, with price increasing substantially at each round.

Relevant.

Sec rules that token sales / non blockchain ICOs are securities

https://www.reddit.com/r/Buttcoin/comments/6pj46w/sec_issues_investigative_report_concluding_dao/

I really hope they legally get shut down if this forum doesn't do something to stop or restrict them because the people who run them are some of the greediest and laziest people I've come across.

So you are requesting an entity totally unpowerful outside the U.S. to mess in the crypto-sphere just because people are raising money ? Investors are not dumb as some may think here. If they invest it means that they want to do it, and I do not find it too fair to go against the will of the people while Bitcoin was created to promote total liberty, for whatever it is.

Now that Bitcoin Cash has hit some of the exchanges already we can see how much demand there is for Bitcoin Cash. The value shot up to $400 dollar already! It will be a matter of weeks before it's on par with the crashing Bitcoin.

The comedy god from the FUD camp is back with Bitcoin Cash. This was pretty funny considering that the price has crashed right when Bitcoin Cash has getting any traction in the media-propaganda machines controlled mostly by department of Verconomics.

Thankfully Cash will be dead soon and we all can pick up some easy BTC.

Hopefully I had not seen the poster name before, but this is kwukduck a.k.a. FUD master. So nothing to take seriously.

I agree with you, this is a good opportunity to dump this shit and increase our holdings.

For me they are a bit the same thing. I would keep both considering gold price is manipulated by governements and central banks, but I would keep more bitcoins since it has a better growth potential. If you want to reunite both of them, just buy a physical gold coin Tongue !

Re: How to win Bitcoins with Signature Campaigns ???
by
Anno MMXVI
on 26/07/2017, 10:02:33 UTC
Common signature campaigns are becoming rarer and rarer. Usually, for now the way is you register in a mass signature campaign of an ICO and you sell the tokens. However returns are not at all guaranteed and one have to choose correctly the ICO he wants to promote.

I think the man behind this rise is Sasha Ivanov. I remember that he said in a very strange and cryptic message on his Telegram feed that Russia may become the home of crypto-currencies, and that it might be its destiny. If this story is true, that would be of course another clever move from Putin.

Re: Ethereum in 5 years
by

By 2022, I see a Bitcoin price of 50 000$, and an Ethereum price of 0,3BTC/ETH, so it gives a 15 000$ price per ether. Pretty good for anyone investing using fiat money, because one could profit from both the rise in value in term of bitcoins of one ether as well as the rise in term of dollar of one bitcoin, making it a double profit.
