The BTC38 admins are incompetent.

I contacted them personally 10 days ago about this problem. At first, they didn't acknowledge that there was a problem, then they said that they contacted the ANC team. When I told them that I am part of the development team, they said that they didn't know how to contact us. When I told them that we have a web site with an email address (anoncoin.net), they said that the web site was down. Then they said it was not their problem to fix. Then they said they were fixing it. Then five days passed with no progress. I repeatedly told them to either restart their client, or to redownload the blockchain using the command anoncoind -reindex.

So, BTC38, like most other large exchanges, is not to be trusted.

I encourage you all to use exchanged.i2p instead.

Be careful not to alienate them. The Chinese market is important and BTC38 has more ANC volume than all other exchanges (Cryptsy and exchanged.i2p) combined right now. Be happy that they are fixing the problem. Bittrex just delisted ANC and Cryptsy had our wallet inactive for long periods of time.

There are many other coins who would love to have a listing on BTC38. Be happy that they list ANC

Popboolr update

"Putting the 'pop' into Popboolr"

I'm pleased to announce further updates to Popboolr new game functionality for Popboolr.

Pop em
- now when a player claims bools, the points are not locked in until new set of unclaimed bools have been claimed in the game. During this period the bools are vulnerable. They can be "popped" (taken) by another player by clicking the 'Pop em' button. Once popped the previous claimer loses the bools and they are provisionally awarded to the player who popped them. The new claimer also gets 1 additional bonus  bool. All of the new claimers bools are vulnerable until another set of unclaimed bools are claimed.
- A player cannot pop their own bools. Doing so will result in a player losing x2 the amount of Bools they attempted to pop.

Claims list page
Shows (in real-time),
- the latest claims and pops as they are made

Stats pages
Shows (in real-time),
- number of bools available
- number of claims made
- exchange rates (Bools to Boolberry to Bitcoin)

Server
- updates to the server software, including a bit more extra 'grunt'

I've also added a few more nice touches... Please check out the site if you get a chance - http://popboolr.com. The more people that give the game a try, the better!

I'll be taking a bit of a hiatus for a few weeks as I have other pressing matters to attend to. I will however endeavour to keep the test site on line, fix bugs and add minor updates (including more comprehensive instructions on how to play) in the interim. I've alot more ideas on where to take the game so expect more features and developments in the next few months!

Damashup

I finally tried the game today and like it. When you go live I would be willing to donate some BBR to the game (as rewards for players when bools are converted to Boolberry).

I do have one question. You are looking at 60 minutes of Twitter data right? I imagine that is a lot of data. Several times when playing the game froze up and became temporarily unresponsive. I wonder if it is related to your need to parse and update so much information. Would it help to either decrease the amount of Twitter data you are parsing (maybe only the last 30 minutes) or slightly decrease how often you update it?

Hey guys,

I want to announce an update on GUI design concept. It has been finalized and now we're already working on implementing it.
I'm sharing screens of first finalized version of New GUI concept. I'm still working on custom window frame, so it could aesthetically match with the GUI design.

A little hint -  we're also working on some other new technical features. Other features and adjustments will be added on the way.

My motivational BBR coinjar address is: @bitcrea
or simply: 1KjAkQLDtDqNn5TWwufygAP6CMnWk4ySo5YEEBkJxYTLfEFLaiysN1XZzzjFAfv7puRjAz4rQLrHn4T bLqVZzmHe85bfzhr

All the best,
Bitcrea

Will this come soon after the current database changes are done?
Any update!! it is very nice wallet
@bitcrea are you here?

This looks extremely nice in comparison to the existing simple but functional wallet.

Re: [POLL] What is the hottest crypto right now in your opinion?
by

I first became interested in Anoncoin because of Zerocoin. When that never arrived I became more interested in CryptoNote. Of the existing CryptoNote coins I think Boolberry is most advanced in terms of scaling and mixin issues.

If Zerocash arrives next year and all trust issues are resolved then that may become the hottest coin. Boolberry is the best anonymous coin today

We all are well accustomed to Zerocoin/Zerocash delays. This still should be discussed along with its impact on ANC:

Thank you. I can confirm he did message me 4 days ago. I had not logged in since that time so just now became aware of his response. So we all have the same information (and because I am not one of the ANC developers) this is what he told me:

"This is usually an issue that the developers address. If you are not going to force everyone into i2p then you need to make sure transactions can get relayed from clearnet. Do you expect every user on clearnet to have the same issues?

We tried to point out this issue before. As many users were having issues with their transactions reaching us. As well as our withdrawals reaching them. But it resulted in the same campaign of hatred from the developers against cryptsy. Your team has been well aware of this issue for about a year. But no progress has been made to resolve it. Even after bittrex delisted ANC for that very reason. It shouldnt be this hard to get a transaction in a block when you have 16 peers connected.

I suggest you stop bashing the exchanges trying to support you and following me thread to thread. Your time would be better spent fixing the above issues which have already got you delisted from one exchange

I am working on setting up our old node again but my hosting provider is having issues with my snapshot. This is not our hot wallet its an external node I run on both clearnet and i2p to relay transactions. Since nobody else on the network appears to be doing this."

Undecided I also have a few coins stuck in CRAPTSY and tried to send a few I am going to post the response to my support ticket and now its about 5 days they been stuck!
We apologize for the late response. The problem is caused by a lack of clearnet nodes. Our transactions aren’t getting relayed correctly to the i2p nodes making up the majority of the network. We were running on i2p until a recent hardware failure. And will restore our Anoncoin wallet to a permanent server again soon. Until then some withdrawals will have a delay in confirmation”
Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Well there it is FOLKS!!!     Grin

Thank you for sharing. The lack of communication from Cryptsy bothers me more than anything

As K1773R said there are people here who can help them if they would respond. Has anyone been provided the rawtx information requested?

@xmrpromotions was kind enough to tweet about us. Hopefully they respond eventually

As far as cryptsy's mintcoin wallet being in maintenance. it is not an issue with the blockchain but rather an internal issue that effected a few users.

We discovered a bug in security protocol that would see some transactions as unauthorized withdrawals and debit a users account for the amount of the transaction. To prevent any others users from being effected I have taken the wallet offline until the issue can be fixed. This was present in a few coins Saturncoin, Bluecon and Mintcoin.

I am hoping to have the wallet back up within 48 hours. We apologize for the delay it has caused

The 48 hour timeframe has come and gone. Can we please get an update as to the status of Cryptsy's MINT wallet??? For reference, the wallet went into maintenance mode on or around Aug 15 and has remained there with no communication whatsoever aside from the post quoted above.

Their wallet hasn't minted yet....

Hello Mintcoin, lets work together to gain visibility from the lack of communication from Cryptsy wallet issues:

Please retweet my tweet and give me a link to yours. I will retweet your issue as well. It seems like Cryptsy only responds when the community is vocal about things.

Ok BitJohn,

You’re on the record saying my funds are safe and sound in the account as of now. As I’ve said all along, if I get my funds back, we’ll call it a day, and I will post here that you resolved the problem.

Question 1) Before proceeding with the password change, can you guarantee to me and the community here on this forum that the 2-Factor Auth PIN is still enabled, and that email withdraw confirm 2fa is also still enabled, and that you won’t remove either safeguard without my authorization???

Because if you can’t guarantee this simple thing first, it would be pointless to move forward. The people here will plainly see that if you are indeed acting “in good faith”, that you’d be able to answer this question simply in the affirmative.

I think we can ALL agree that if Cryptsy/BitJohn cannot affirm this statement about the 2fa’s, then it’s clear evidence of Cryptsy/BitJohn acting in bad faith.

Show us you’re legit and simply answer Q1 affirmatively. Then we can move forward and get on with our lives.

Thank you.

We would never remove anyones 2fa without their consent and verification they are the owner of the account

Withdrawal email confirmations are not optional and are enabled for all users

How about responding to the stuck withdraws you caused by taking your I2P node offline without warning:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=227287.msg12420396#msg12420396

A little communication would go a long way in earning trust from the community!

I will give him some time to respond.

mullick is online now.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=99433

Please message him since he seems to be ignoring my request to make a public update.  When I asked him about the stuck withdraw mentioned in this thread, this was his response by private message on September 8th:

"Same issue as before. A lack of clearnet nodes. We were mining ANC and running i2p but are not running i2p now and havent found blocks in a while. Ill get anoncoin moved to a new server and enable i2p again soon"

I asked him to come here to provide an update and give us the raw tx id(s) for the stuck transaction(s). No response.

Maybe retweet this to get their attention:
https://twitter.com/AnoncoinTeam/status/641332301922742272

I may ask the leadership of other coins to help bring attention to these issues too. It is not okay to stop broadcasting transactions or take down their I2P node without warning us. People have ANC being held hostage by Cryptsy, stuck in withdraw status. Other coins have been in Cryptsy "maintenance" while working fine on other exchanges. They need to stop adding new coins until they can prove the ability to properly run the wallets they already maintain.

Hi Folk!

We (Clintar and me) made some db code, which seems to work fine. (we made some tests on clintar's backend).
This code take part of blockchain data (blockchain.bin) and store it in leveldb database. Is things gonna be ok we'll move the rest of data into leveldb database.

Anyone who interested to reduce memory usage in Boolberry daemon, could try to use code from "db" branch for test.

Thanks for any feedback.

Zoidberg

PS: Many thanks to Clintar for helping, supporting and even coding Boolberry!

exciting news!

I just shared it on Twitter:
https://twitter.com/BBRcurrency/status/642419677411479552

I have been more active lately reaching out to potential merchants. Some (such as a few vpns) and purism today seem interested to learn more:
https://twitter.com/Puri_sm/status/642201280736161793

If more people could contact privacy focused companies that would make it much easier to increase adoption

I retweeted you.

This is one of the most exciting privacy focused coins in crypto. My followers were originally more focused on zerocoin but based on long development delays I think many of them will now look to cryptonote as the best available tech on the market right now

i waiting 12 hours but my coin nott add to my account, can you help me? Huh

Did you receive the transaction in your wallet? if so, please give me the raw transaction (rawtx)
thank you reply my question

i dont understan what is rawtx, because i not found in withdrawal cryptsi

but i send email to develover anoncoin,

this is reply my email

getrawtransaction
a4099e4720991f0c4e73d8fc3575651a4e6fb1214695c092bac7fbd0c83dead

and then

Otherwise, if you see a transaction non confirmed or something, you can
type:

getrawtransaction
a4099e4720991f0c4e73d8fc3575651a4e6fb1214695c092bac7fbd0c83dead

and then

sendrawtransaction "datarowtransactionreceivedabove"

your transaction dosnt cofirm because cryptsy cant broadcast their txs...
if you are able to get the raw transaction and give it to me, i'll get your tx mined/confirmed.

I find it amazing how little Cryptsy seems to care about their reputation. I even Tweeted about this issue to get their response and they dont bother showing up.

https://twitter.com/AnoncoinTeam/status/639184873283059712

Probably best to stick with BTC38 going forward until/unless Cryptsy gives a satisfactory answer about their continued failure to broadcast transactions

That is good to see. BBR is my favorite cryptonote coin because of its technical advantages. Nevertheless, Monero remains the leader because of more recent development activity. If cryptozoidberg becomes more active again that could change
