Re: Bank holiday in Greece
by

Early last month, many rich people in Greek began to withdraw money from banks, for they are afraid of these things happen, however, it happens now. Government can't do anything worse than forcing people leave money to save economy.
Bank holiday given in Greece to hold money in bank itself,to overcome with the economy growth. Angry
Greeks have been withdrawing billions of euros from their savings accounts in recent weeks which effect the economic growth.
Because in the absence of any increase in this so called Emergency Liquidity Assistance, the banks had no way to supply cash to Greek depositors who have been anxiously withdrawing their savings. Angry

I don't think so that the Bitcoin ever will return to its starting point.Bitcoin is just to go further and further by large adoption.People who do not believe in Bitcoin they never did and never will do but who are open minded to embrace the innovative techs always welcome and support any tech.Bitcoin will make it way by itself in spite of all the issues related to its tech.
Bitcoin is accepted throughout the world and making it legal to invest in it.As ATMs also intall for the exchange of digital currencies into their local currencies. It is better to stay  for long term investment as it give profit. Grin

as long as they will not use their centralized blockchain and they will adopt bitcoin directly, without creating an altcoin, like many other want to do, then it will be fine

but they first need to rise the awareness about bitcoin, because 66% say no about "what is bitcoin" is a big %, and cannot be ignored
Bitcoins are produced and somewhat controlled by miners, also unelected, independent, privately-funded currency producers ,as it protocol and software are openly published any developer around the world can review the code or make their own modified version of the Bitcoin software. Grin Angry Sad

It still seems likely to me that the ECB/IMF will fold at the last minute because the consequences of a default far out way the costs of restructuring Greek debt (read: write some of it off).

I think that the troika has reconciled with the idea of writing of a large part of the Greek debt. But they are afraid that if they do so, then it will set up a precedent for the other EU nations in similar situations, such as Portugal, Spain and Italy. So the two sides will bargain hard... and in the end, some sort of compromise will be reached in which it might look from the outside that both of them won.
Greeks have been targeted because the currency is in a slump.
As per my news ,Greeks have been withdrawing billions of euros from their savings accounts in recent weeks, as much as a billion euros each day in the last week.

Re: “Save a Life–Surrender Your Knife” Program

It is estimated that there are some 1,000,000 illegal firearms currently circulating in the United Kingdom, compared to 400,000 legally held rifles and pistols. That measures to around 20 illegal guns for every 1,000 people. A few years ago, the Guardian published an article on how easy it is to obtain an illegal firearm in the United Kingdom.

Re: Greeks are rushing to Bitcoin
by

on 30/06/2015, 09:06:10 UTC
The question is does it matter? If they're only adopting bitcoin to get their money out of the country while the banks are closed, this is meaningless, as they'll convert to a more stable fiat elsewhere.

If, however, they are adopting bitcoin to use in place of fiat, that will be big news. I'll be interested to see if there is a large influx into bitcoin in Greece that persists, but my guess is people are taking the path of least resistance out atm, and also not doing so in substantially consequential numbers.
Because Bitcoin is a better bet than the euro,Greeks are turning to online trading platforms with digital money .Greeks have been targeted because the currency is in a slump. As headquartered in Shanghai, is seeing a 40% increase in visitors using computers in Greece. Smiley

Re: The USA is now the world’s second largest Spanish-speaking country
by

on 30/06/2015, 08:41:30 UTC

The United States is now the world’s second largest Spanish-speaking country after Mexico, according to a new study published by the prestigious Instituto Cervantes.

The report says there are 41 million native Spanish speakers in the US plus a further 11.6 million who are bilingual, mainly the children of Spanish-speaking immigrants. This puts the US ahead of Colombia (48 million) and Spain (46 million) and second only to Mexico (121 million).

Among the sources cited in the report is the US Census Office which estimates that the US will have 138 million Spanish speakers by 2050, making it the biggest Spanish-speaking nation on Earth, with Spanish the mother tongue of almost a third of its citizens.

By state the highest concentration is in the former Spanish colonies of the south and south-west, with New Mexico top at 47%, followed by California and Texas (both 38%) and Arizona (30%). Some 18% of New Yorkers speak Spanish while only 1.3% of West Virginians do. Perhaps surprisingly, more than 6% of Alaskans are Spanish speakers.

Learning a foreign language, like Spanish, is becoming much more of a necessity in today's society. More than 400 million people speak Spanish worldwide out of which 33 million people speak in America. Wink

Re: Child kidnapping by the Norwegian State
by
Anony
on 30/06/2015, 08:21:25 UTC
This item can go here. Not exactly kidnapping in the regular sense. But a kidnapping of the sexual identity nonetheless.
Norwegian children are no allowed by law to switch their gender after they are 7 years old. (Marriage is still only after 16).

http://www.thelocal.no/20150625/norway-to-let-7-yr-old-change-gender

Quote
“This is an important area where Norway has lagged far behind many other countries for many years,” Health Minister Bent Høie  said as he announced the plan during the Oslo Pride festival. “Now we can be proud that we are implementing this law.”

According to the Norwegian Health Ministry, most European countries only allow citizens to change the gender assigned to them at birth after they turn 18.

However, Richard Köhler, of the Transgender Europe lobby group, told Reuters that the “gold standard” was to have no formal limit, as in Malta.

“Generally it is very good to allow very young transpersons to have their gender identity respected,” he said.

Needless to say, that physiologically, at 7 a child is only beginning to experience the actions of hormones, and both male and female hormones are at work (all boys remember how they start getting breasts). So at that age a child is particularly vulnerable as to their gender identity. Allowing to switch gender at that age is like giving a suicidally inclined person a loaded gun.

It is so rediculus that Norway is becomming a big money machine which needs to steal children to feed itself. Angry
As per research children are kidnapping from those parents who were unstable, too young etc.,can't take care off, etc.
The kids are shipped off to wealthy childless couples for a handsome "handling fee", plus these families actually get paid by the government for "taking care" of the children.  Smiley

http://www.coindesk.com/kraken-opens-bitcoin-exchange-in-canada/

Kraken has officially launched in Canada following a partnership with digital currency industry-focused risk management specialist Vogogo.

The San Francisco-based bitcoin exchange now allows users in Canada to convert Canadian dollars into digital currencies using Interac e-Transfer and electronic fund transfers (EFT). Trading fees are then priced between 0.10% and 0.35%, with more active traders receiving more attractive rates.

In statements, Kraken CEO Jesse Powell indicated that the company saw significant potential in the Canadian market. The exchange has been one of the most active US firms in the global market, opening to Japan and adding GBP trading in October. Kraken is also one of the more prominent businesses to pull out of the US market over legal concerns.

This sounds awesome, where can I purchase this officially. But I am afraid, in case of any transactions made through online fails, how will be the pay back methods. It needs complete security and reliability for the consumers and traders, if they fulfill such confidential things, then it is a real good deal.

Bit-X has BTC debit card, Xapo has BTC debit card.. they are easy to reach nowadays.

The memebers of Bit-X sig campaign can also get the Bit-X card without the issuing fee.
However, I'd advise you to look for the costs, on any card you want to check out.
Their are some countries where accepted bitcoin as currencies and assign as legal and allow to use bitcoin ATM.They approve for debit card as it is easy to use and allow bitcoin to purchase in cash at your local currencies as it is anonymous cash Grin

When the price of Bitcoins is higher, people are more likely to mine, especially people whose costs are close to their expected proceeds.
As the demand of bitcoin increase, mining prices also increase as it include hardware to purchase, supply of electricity (countinous flow of power)etc.
because of blockchain as it has to countinous update in transaction. Sad
as with decrease in demand of bitcoin ,mining price may effect as they have to overcome with their regular charges. Smiley

Using faucet is good but now in last few days many faucets run away with big amounts and some cutting bounty without any notice is bad
Bitcoin are growing with innovation and business opportunities that also include risks.
There is no guarantee that Bitcoin will continue to grow even though it has developed at a very fast rate so far.
There are various ways to make money with Bitcoin such as mining, invest in funds, sell and hold bitcoins with respect to market price,

Revolt: Millions of N.Y. Gun Owners Refuse to Register Firearms
Only around 24,000 New Yorkers, many of them cops, complied with gun control law

http://www.infowars.com/revolt-millions-of-n-y-gun-owners-refuse-to-register-firearms/

Jesus! Millions of gun owners in NY state? I find these stats hard to believe.

According to Wikipedia the last census put the stat's population at 8.5 million, and you're saying there are millions of gun owners? Let be conservative and make that 2 million gun owners. Almost a quarter of the population - one in four of every adult and child - own a firearm and are upset about registering their guns?

I know (edit: the median) Americans are gun crazy and that on average there are ~ 90 guns for every one hundred citizens - but I thought there would be multiple guns per owner.

At the time WWI and WWII they've killed over 2+ Billion people world wide.In the modern day, they disguised themselves as "The Bilderberg Group".
With 90% wars are going to killing people in the name of religion. This should be stop at once, people loosing their humanity and living with fear.  Angry

Re: Illegal Migrant Crisis in Mediterraean
by
Anony
on 27/06/2015, 11:26:11 UTC

One way for leaders to achieve increased control over their citizens would be to introduce a problem then provide a solution.  If a majority of 'natives' of a country feel threatened by newcomers and have no realistic alternatives for 'protection' than the state, that's what they will choose.  This could take the form of increased surveillance of society generally and an increase in the number and capabilities of state sponsored paramilitary assets.

I wonder if this is not one of the main driving forces behind the push to control guns in private hands here in the U.S.  The more people feel confident that they can protect themselves, the less inclined they are to rely on the state for various kinds of protection.

As best I can tell from afar (sitting here on the West coast of the U.S.) it seems that Western Europe is a lot farther along the path to centralization and that planning and directing these population movements is handled mostly from Brussels.  It's an interesting thing to watch.  I'll be paying closer attention to the phenomenon.

Brussels has yet to answer to the problems of these thousands of migrants who arrive every week. Ask anyone in Italy, he'll say the EU doesn't do anything, and that is correct. It is member states, Hungary beefing up its borders, France blocking the migrants in Ventimiglia, who act, leaving all the burden to countries on the Southern side, Italy or Greece.

Regarding protection, it isn't the issue here. There's about 40 millions people unemployed in EU. Many locals just wonder what will the migrants do if they're allowed to get in? This as a time where most countries are running a deficit.

As I say, it seems to me a reasonable hypothesis that Brussels does not see the issue as a 'problem' in the way that the locals do.  The hypothesis continues that the 'solution' would be a general beefing up of state controlled domestic surveillance and paramilitary capabilities which are, of course, fairly easily moved from one task to another.  From what I read here across the pond it seems that this is occurring here and there.  It would be counter-productive for Brussels to comment on this if they do consider it a 'solution'.

Reason I found through search that 850 migrants are thought to have drowned this weekend —European officials scrambling to address the crisis at what is being called the world’s “deadliest border crossing.”  Lips sealed
It immigration and human-rights advocates argue that addressing the crisis will require Europe to look beyond its watery border and the people who seek to ferry refugees across it. Sad Smiley
