Re: What do you do with your crypto?
by

on 22/03/2018, 03:21:38 UTC
I mine, I buy, I hold, then panic and then hopeful... It's like a circle of emotions my friend and I'm still trying to control it or at least let it affect me less. But still optimistic about crypto future.

A serious project which probably would go far even during this troubled time of the crypto market. What a pity I spent too much in ICO already. Tempted to cut some loss to invest in this.

Re: Negotiation with government

What if people convince governments of their nations to make Bitcoin as a legal currency or what if we agree to give tax on our bitcoin income? Will government then make Bitcoin a legal currency.
Agree or not, they will find a way to tax Bitcoin users, probably by taxing the exchanges. However, I think governments would like to create their own blockchain than using bitcoin, if one day they decide to legalize cryptos.

Your Constructive Comment: There are many trading platforms out there, so the competition that you guys are going to face is difficult. But I like that you restricted the number of tokens to only 18M.

Re: Have you ever borrowed fiat to get btc?
by

on 21/02/2018, 02:59:32 UTC
Yes, I did. I borrow fiat from... my wife, part of our saving account (she's the boss you know).
The idea of borrowing fiat from banks or relatives to get btc never cross my mind. It's still a big risk that we took and there's always a chance that we wake up tomorrow and realize that somebody found a way to break the blockchain.

I would say 7k and then bounce back, otherwise 5k. Because if it can go down to 6k, it won't stop there. 5k is the last stand and I believe it will hold.

Yep. I'm thinking to buy a little bit more btc. Price is sweet now. Don't be panic, it will rise up sooner or later. One thing for sure the price is not stable and depends too much on good/bad news.

Looks like NEO will grow from strength to strength this year. And since everyone agreed that decentralize exchange will be the future, why not?

If they can execute their plan properly the price will be 10 times easily at the end of this year. There's so much potential. However, I'm sure it will be quite difficult to carry out the plan.

Re: Who anticipated the Crypto fallout of January 2018?
by
Anphonsus
on 29/01/2018, 03:24:54 UTC
Who here actually expected and pre-empted the crypto "crash" of ~$300billion that occurred after the 8th of January? I made major losses of up to 60% and the market is still taking such a long time to recover. Just wondering who here actually had the foresight to predict this.

Many theories supported and heralded this crash including, however a lot of these effects appeared to have combined and created the FUD that ensued.
1. Historical charts showing major losses in trading in previous years around this time
2. Correlation with Chinese New Year period when investors and traders pull out money
3. Coin Market Cap making a blunder when they removed the Korean exchanges
4. Korean exchanges themselves under scrutiny from the South Korean government following the exchange raids.

Any one have any other reason to add to this list?
If someone had predicted and really acted upon it he/she is already a millionaire by now. I lost half of my investment because of the price drop but luckily I increased my bitcoin amount by 50% by doing some tradings.
Now I'm holding to wait for the price increase.

Re: How Bitcoin Can Change The World?
by

Blockchain will change the world. It is changing the world. Bitcoin is just the biggest flag in the first row of the blockchain charge. If btc can make it to the finish line - become a worldwide payment that is accepted by the whole world then we can talk about bitcoin changing the world.

Once in a while, I see a newbie lost a big chunk of eth while trying to buy s***coin. EtherDelta GUI does very little to prevent this, unlike other exchanges.

The business loan model is probably much less risk than individual lending projects out there. So this is worth to consider for my next investment. Apart from the coin price rising, do investors have any other profits?

Good idea. Sooner or later people will have to pay tax if they want to cash out their investment in crypto. So this is a move in the right direction.

However, I can't find much information about your team. And the way you execute your ICO. No registration? Only send coins to wallet and that's it?

Re: ETH or Waves?
by

on 21/01/2018, 15:06:01 UTC
Waves definitely has good potential, you have an all-in-one solution with Waves (only smart contract is missing). However, as someone pointed out: Waves GUI is not the best out there, so its a drawback. I myself keep eth for the near future but also hold some Waves, but it will take time before you see significant profit.

They send you a link with "your" ETH address.  If you are registered.  When you put it in on the site it doesn't work?  Anybody use the link?

Many people who registered before Jan 10 now find their Eth address is not on KYC database and support desk give the same vague answer. Thinking back, it's so convenient that they never sent a confirmation email when people registered for their airdrop before Jan 10, so now they can shift the blame to us that we did not register.
