thanks for all the replies, soo what about if  hypothetically I wanted to do the opposite, I mean cashing out profit from bitcoin, let's say for example someone wants to sell 1 bitcoin and cash it to the bank, would the bank freeze the money if they are not crypto friendly? and would the money be lost in this case or what would happen?

HSBC canada not allowing to buy any crypto related instrument
by

on 13/03/2021, 17:35:20 UTC
So I already own some crypto but just for the sake of it I tried to buy a tiny portion of BTCC (the canadian bitcoin etf) , or other crypto related instrument, and whenever I try HSBC invest direct (in canada) blocks the order, saying:
"alert! your trade ticket was rejected due to no trades allowed on Virtual Currencies"

here are some snapshot of the message:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OPs9DLOvtD7s7ExpUU4vhVSjpgt0dUz4/view?usp=sharing

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qQSDItkOqJNAvvm3D67kCx3AWqYdim20/view?usp=sharing

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a-ewt9m96vcjAuzgwDSGLAtuRHlMOlH_/view?usp=sharing

this is concerning, because maybe it means banks will start banning cryptos. And what is the point of creating ETFs etc... if then banks do not allow to invest in them?? is it only HSBC doing this?

Re: margin trading exchanges

You are right that Binance has one of the best trading fees for spot or margin tradings.

i meant binance has horrible interest rates, if I borrow USDT for margin trading the fees are 0.1% daily, that means 36% annual interest fee, absolutely insane.

margin trading exchanges
by

on 13/01/2021, 05:01:48 UTC
hello there, I have used mostly poloniex for trading for a long time, I was now testing binance margin trading, I noticed thought the the borrowing interest of binance is insane, like 0.1% DAILY? poloniex is amazing but the problem is they don't really offer many altcoins for margin trading anymore, they keep removing them from the margin account. Also, even if poloniex interface is easy and transparent, i find binance very complicated. For example in poloniex you can easily see your current open positions, current profit / loss, current interest etc... and you can close the position with a button if you want to. I am wondering if someone can recommend an exchange which offer margin trading as easy as poloniex but with more altcoins to trade? binance offers many, but it's too complicated and the interest rate seems really unreasonable. Thanks!

bitcoin private suspended trading on graviex

Hello there, I was trading lots of BTCP on graviex, all was good until a few days ago they suspended their walled, cancelled all trading orders and they are not allowing withdrawals. I asked them and they say it was requested by the dev and coins are safe, I tried to contact the devs with no answer. Does anyone know if it's some kind of maintenance and if they will re-enable the btcp wallet soon? thanks

I am perfectly calm and yes pump and dump are normal in crypto but not like this gigantic crash and super quick recover in a matter of minutes, I was only curious to know if someone knew what caused it that's all

posw in ledger nano s
by
Antonioz
on 19/05/2018, 00:53:00 UTC
hello there, over a year ago I made a fairly big investment in POSW, I bought a lot of those coins not just because it looked promising and it was low cap, but because I own a ledger nano s and I could safely store them there, and so I did. Today I found out that in the past months this coin migrated to a new coin, and whoever owned it had to do something in order to swap the coin with the new one, the new coin being apparently called XSN. Now, it seems like the deadline for it was may 1st, so over 3 weeks ago. Does it mean I have lost all my coins only because I did not know that? or is there any way that they can get converted as they were stored on the ledger? does anyone know please? thank you

by

on 21/01/2018, 18:06:57 UTC
hello there, I bought some zclassic on bittrex because of the upcoming fork, but I read it's not guaranteed that bittrex will support the fork and to make sure you receive bitcoin private tokens you need to have them on a private wallet, can anyone please recommend a zclassic wallet for windows? thank you

How i wish the worse is over already.
If it cannot hold 11K level, it may be back down to 9K real quick or even 8K.

Totally agree, the daily chart broke a big support so from a technical point of view it will go down more

1 dollar is not impossible given the market cap which is a lot lower than ripple's, 5 dollars might be a bit ambitious but you never know in crypto, when etherium reached 5 dollars I thought it went crazy hight and it was a bubble, but it kept going, so who knows!
