Ok so I was able to game fine but when I went to mine again I got the same BSOD I have also noticed that the card is now hashing low.... could the card be dying?
So it started yesterday and since then I have had 3 or 4 BSOD with atikmpag.sys and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with it. It only seems to happen when my 7970 is mining if I just have my 2 7950s mining its fine. https://www.dropbox.com/s/7kwmb8xr76a57wq/20130610_104220.jpg. Could it be cause by over heating or not properly shutting down guiminer?

If it passes: Then go to the manufacturers website for your motherboard and make sure your BIOS is the latest version.
I would assume I need to run the GPU stress test?

So i have an extra 7950 that wont fit in my case so I got risers and I was wondering is it safe to place it on cardboard above my case or if there is a better way to mount it somewhere and if so on what. https://www.dropbox.com/s/0sha7gvkxe2d3hj/GPU.jpg This is the most current picture I have the white represents the out line of the box I would use and the red is the GPU before you ask the case has another I have to gpus already in the case as of now and the case is laying down flat. Box i would use is either a newegg box or the box the gigabyte 7950 came. So if you have had either you know what im talking about.

I was wondering if people had experience with either of the cards or if anyone could tell me how big the hashing difference would be? Also if I were to use the 2 gigabyte cards in a case what would be the best way to keep both of them cool?

How much performance would I lose by getting this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202030 compared to the gigabyte also my cooling consists of my stock fans in my cooler master storm trooper and a Thermaltake Frio OCK (not sure if this matters but it does take up some space) I also have a reference 7970 in my system atm to.
The MSI card has "only" two fans, making it run a little hotter. It's also a little more expensive.
The new versions of the Gigabyte cards has its voltage locked at 1.25 V, which is great for high clocks, but no so great for longevity.
By longevity do you mean for mining or as a gpu in genral.
