Re: CBS '60 Minutes' 5/19/19 on Bitcoin. Will it cause FOMO or FUD? (Take the Poll!)

Wow! I really loved that show when I was still watching TV! I think they won't be biased and will show the two faces of how people use bitcoin. I'm going to save it on my notes to watch the full segment. That exposure is guaranteed fomo for many people who watched the show when we see btc 20k$ again.

I have experienced the bull before but it was a complete mistake of having a delusion that it will continue to pump more than 10x. So you people that are going to experience the next huge bull run ( if we are lucky) just sell your bitcoin and altcoins whenever you see that things started to get bombarded by FUD and it won't go up anymore.

Re: DO you think ICO websites help investors to choose best ICO to participate?
by
ApocalypseNow
on 19/05/2019, 10:40:18 UTC
For me just have an ICO rating website and update the ICO that I trust the most. It is icodrops.com, they always update and list ico has a high level of interest, in addition the project team is real and talented couples
Yeah, icodrops is better than other, but I won't trust ICO website ratings, expert comment and analyze  because I think most of them is paid for fees to comment or used it for high ratings. I only used ICO website for checking latest ICO list, that's all.

Icodrops is much better that all the ico reviews sites combined. But it does not mean that all of the ICO/IEO they posted on their site are going to be successful because I have seen a few of these ICOs that were stagnant and keep on delaying their ICO or extending and nobody when they will announce it is finished.

To be honest, it is very hard now to see if you still going to get rich in bitcoin. They say next year is the most awaited year for another bull run but seeing on how hard the FUD gets in the way, I think we can only manage to play around $6k or $15k if we are lucky. If only US and CHina become very friendly again to crypto then I can see hundreds of people reaching their dreams of becoming a millionaire in btc.

Re: Bounties with limitations pays higher rewards
by

ICOs wants to extend their reach farther and limiting participants in social media bounties won't help them to attract many investors. I know that as a bounty hunter, you want to get higher rewards but there are other campaigns that you can take advantage where having less participants like translations, community, and video campaign.

Re: what makes us good investors.

ApocalypseNow

Good investors are obviously those people who knows on what they are investing in. They have researched the company or the project for months or even observed it for a year. It is very simple as that because if you have not have done any of those things and you were just attracted by all the hype then that you are a bad investor.

Re: Joseph Stiglitz: ‘We should shut down the cryptocurrencies’
by
ApocalypseNow
on 18/05/2019, 13:44:38 UTC
Joseph Stiglitz, a Nobel-Prize winning economist, says cryptocurrencies should be shut down. He worries that they enable illicit activity by making money transactions less transparent.

Still, he sees the value in digital payments systems and supports electronic use of government-backed currencies like the dollar.

“I’ve been a great advocate of moving to an electronic payments mechanism. There are a lot of efficiencies. I think we can actually have a better regulated economy if we had all the data in real time, knowing what people are spending,” he says.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/02/joseph-stiglitz-we-should-shutdown-the-cryptocurrencies.html

I wonder how much he got paid for these biased statements? Maybe by the bank owners? But all I can say, transparency exists in bitcoin's blockchain but when we talk about fiat, it can easily be untraced by passing it to people and hiding it in many objects. I've seen many movies where fiat is easy to move by money launderers using a very clever style of transport.

Re: ICO still have huge chance of surviving
by
ApocalypseNow
on 18/05/2019, 13:28:56 UTC
After 2017 max ICO profits, ICO has since then been a high target for scammers but alas ICO will still survive on the long run ,bitorrent and fetch.ai has proven that, many investors are now getting smart and extremely more careful ,its really a good thing ,before we know it the scam rate will get lower and scammers won't make a dime from ICO anymore. I think action speaks more than words,no one wants to lose money to scam projects anymore so they are forced to learn how to spot good projects to invest in. Warning doesn't work but investors losing money does makes them learn.

They are not ICOs anymore, they are called IEOs. IEOs are much more expensive honestly but in return, the trust of investors can be easily achieve by that project. I think ICO and STO are dead and there are maybe of few them that still launch but as I expected, they never achiever their softcap.

Re: Are You Happy And What Are Your Plans Next?
by
ApocalypseNow
on 18/05/2019, 13:20:31 UTC
I'm very happy of course but I don't own a lot of altcoins. They don't add up to 1 btc in equivalent so I have no choice but to hold until they get that chance to rise or when that time for an altcoin bullrun. My plans are very limited and if I became very impatient, I could lose the chance to sell for a lot of btc that can have $100k potential next year.

Re: pump end or only correction?
by
ApocalypseNow
on 18/05/2019, 13:08:11 UTC
Someone purposely dump a lot of bitcoin so don't ever think that this was a correction or end to the pump. They are trying to slow us down and I'm very thankful that a lot of buyers are still supporting the price to be around $7k. This is not serious and this can be another opportunity for people to buy at $7k before we reach $10k very soon.

Re: Buy every dip!
by
ApocalypseNow
on 15/05/2019, 12:55:37 UTC
You have no other option. I joke about the whalecumulators, but what else can we plebs do? Buy the dip, and HODL! You do not want to end up empty handed on the next cycle, https://twitter.com/misir_mahmudov/status/1118243131584065537

I guess this is normal and that is the sentiment we always see whenever there's a huge surge of price in bitcoin. I'm always expecting that people would get angry at themselves when there is a bullrun. But buying the dip is kind of hard though. I have been wrong 3x thinking btc has reach the final bottom in 2018 but it still plunges to $3k instead.

by

on 15/05/2019, 07:58:54 UTC
Maybe before they have still doubts but I think after they have seen bitcoin making a huge rally this past few weeks, I think they started doing it. And even there is not a lot of them disclose it, they are sure going to buy more secretly when all the major consumer brands started to accept btc. Just let them have their skepticim so we have still a lot of buyers when btc is very expensive.

by

on 15/05/2019, 05:01:38 UTC
I just find it funny that people are already contented to see bitcoin on $6k and more than happy to see it stay on that level. But I'm the one of wants to see it increase more because if we really want to break $20k or get near $50k then we needed a stronger push than that. With a lot of huge positive news lately, I'm very confident that we are going to end this year with a bang.

Re: KYC for penny money?
by
ApocalypseNow
on 15/05/2019, 02:57:33 UTC
I saw in my social media feeds that there's a lot of people now posting about free cryptocurrency that needed of kyc before you get a penny money. This people not think if it's will good to them to give their identity in any site for just penny money. Yeah it's free but your identity will be possible to use in any harmful doings.

Whats your thoughts about this?

I don't really support this kind of this procedure just to get the reward you did for the task needed. If you are an airdrop participants who are willing to do thi then you must be very desperate. Maybe that value is bigger locally but these participants never truly care if it will lead to utilizing their docs for crimes and the worst part is that those free or airdropped tokens has no value at all.

Re: Can bitcoin be worthless?
by
ApocalypseNow
on 15/05/2019, 00:30:32 UTC
It can be worthless on some areas like the most poor countries in the world like africa. But I think after adoption, there is no stopping bitcoin from having it's value and people will embrace it as the new currency of the internet. I don't believe btc is worthless and only has no value to people who completely still relies on fiat.

Most business and small stores in my place only accept cash/fiat so I do need them everyday to purchase my necessities. But in grocery stores, I try digital payment apps and credit card but I only buy on those place twice a month so I still need cash most of the times. But I'm very certain that in the future, I'm  just going to need my smartphone and crypto for my everyday expenses.

Re: Investing in Bitcoin in 2019?
by
ApocalypseNow
on 13/05/2019, 01:07:17 UTC
I've always been watching bitcoin since mid-2013 up to now, and the market/bubble is painfully toxic. I'm not a big investor or economist, and I probably still only have superficial knowledge on how the entire blockchain systems work.

I just patiently watch the graph, and keep telling myself not to invest because everyone tells me it's a giant bubble that will someday pop. Recently, I started to run a few side businesses dealing in Bitcoin as payment methods, but I've never stored it long term and always converted it to cash.

I remember back in 2014 when I first thought of investing in Bitcoin as a long-term investment, and obviously was pressured out of it because everyone kept thinking it was a bubble that was about to burst. I'm starting to think about it again now that Bitcoin is starting to crash - and generally speaking in the past it's done quite well after crashes, recovering and increasing every once in a while.

What do you guys think? Is it worth it to give it a try? This would be my second crypto investment, and I'd be throwing in $5-10,000 at most. Any ideas?

Yes, you should have. Because right now, btc is going on full rocket mode launching on the moon again. I've seen many discussions about bitcoin that is really going to explode but much bigger this time because of the recent good news that are going to be launched sooner. Everything is very positive and the FUDs are not making any effect to stop us once more.

Re: Why do you have to take risks.
by
ApocalypseNow
on 09/05/2019, 09:18:34 UTC
Because the rewards are where are the risks are. I've seen many graphic designs describing our world when we are only or always on our safe zone and it is basically has no progress. And so to trading, if we want to get out of that boring life and become very rich then we need to study and invest in it even we know that we can achieve two endings which one is bad and the other one which we want is very good.

Re: Bounty may be an income medium for unemployed youth.
by
ApocalypseNow
on 09/05/2019, 07:05:33 UTC
No, it is not. Please just make it sideline and you must have a regular source of income because there are a lot of bounty hunters that are going through so much stress and sometimes depression including me whenever a bounty is just a fraud. They probably pay you but the months you render to it is not even close to what they paid you.
