Re: Is Polkadot Good For Future?
by

on 02/03/2021, 12:39:52 UTC
Polkadot is going to be huge in near future, probably going over 100$ in future just like how BNB token is now costly, polkadot is an example of a well developed project from serious team members, I do hope we keep seeing serious projects in crypto space and not just some junk and shit coins

P4000 mining ETH = 27 mhs stable
$ 1000 for 27 megahesh, it's expensive
Did you buy these video cards for mining or professional software?
Professional graphics cards are designed for constant workload, but you have to monitor their temperatures.

P4000 is different from quadro RTX 4000 and I believe the RTX is the newest and also have better hashrate but too costly for the hashrate still, the kinda money one can throw at RTX3080 and get near 100MH per second, not a good plan imo

Honestly I planned to 1 year and half for male back my invested money on GPUS, anyone who think less than this is a greedy fellow who thinks money can grow on trees, if they panic sell well it's all good and if ethereum mining starts showing good sign few months time maybe they will take their eye off mining finally lol

Re: way to use all 8GB VRAM which is half disabled on P104-100 card
by

on 01/03/2021, 13:34:31 UTC
upd. solution found: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/208828/208828 thanks darkneorus!

use nvflash to flash your card which is not asus or gigabyte, you'll get all 8GB working on board.

anyone knows how to open all 8GB VRAM on P104-100 to mine Grin31?

it should be done with bios modding.

Put the 4gb card on sell right now through eBay or other and use the money to invest in altcoins or btc right now since gpu are presently overpriced, if mining is your thing then consider it later after you made some money investing in BTC, trying to unlock this card to 8gb is pointless

Re: As being a miner, what can i do when the Eth is falling
by

on 01/03/2021, 13:29:53 UTC
Should I sell out all ETH?  Or keep ETH on hand and keep mining patiently in order to come across next bull trend?
Bitcoin is recovering and ethereum price is rising again, ethereum mining will surely become profitable soon just like past days, I would say keep mining and keep storing those ETH, you should only consider selling once Ethereum reach it's ATH of 2000$ again

ETH is always good to hold and store securely, because the token has always had value and interest in the market,
so keep mining patiently and release it when that's really enough for you.

If I am mining eth and holding it, won't sell right now. The possibility of increasing its value in the next coming months is very high, once they launched their berlin hard fork and address the gas fee problem. Won't doubt the capability of eth network to grow as they are one of the solid crypto projects. But if the OP can't wait and has financial needs, he can sell some of it but only what he needs.
I'm guessing you are talking about the EIP1559? Well there is no certainty that ethereum price will surge just because there is ease on gas fee and also do you know that mining reward will go lower once gas fee isn't high anymore? The reason why eth is the most profitable coin to mine presently is simply because of high gas fee

Re: Is this still a good time
by
Apostlekin$$$
on 01/03/2021, 13:24:08 UTC
Is it over already or it's not too late to invest in altcoins right now? I'm new to this crypto thing and I've been told to invest in top altcoins or BTC but the market isn't looking so good and I don't know if this is still a good time to invest or wait for red market
The thing is crypto market is so unpredictable right now, bitcoin is showing sign of recovery but not the Altcoins, if I have to bet on a coin right now it won't be altcoins because most of them have achieved new all time high already, market isn't safe right now and if you must take risks make sure you invest small amount of money just to be on safe side

Re: Have you heard of p2p trading?.

I prefer the normal trading than P2P trading but since some countries have no choice but to use P2P trading there is nothing we can do about it, P2P trading is still somehow not safe compare to the main way of trading crypto, I remember using paxful and I send asset to the other part and the guy denied he refused, paxful on the other hand release escrowed the item to the guy making me lose 200$ at the time

Maybe if crypto regulation takes place in future you will understand that today's adopters are not even close to half of the people in the world today, where I'm from many don't even understand what bitcoin is and most can't even pronounce it well, billions of people don't want to get involved in crypto yet and that's because of risks involved and lack of regulations

Misleading, I would never give a hope to a newbie telling him or her that one day they will make millions by holding altcoins, this is a gamble and it's only fitting for those who are ready to lose, there is no certainty that the coin will survive long, also it's wrong not to take profits when a altcoin is pumping hard, that opportunity might never return again

Not yet, miners are still making hell of profits right now due to panic sell off from investors, what I still don't understand is the cause of this panic effect, majority don't even understand what correction is and they are panicking because BTC lose some value ?

Re: this eth congestion sucks almost 5 hours
by
Apostlekin$$$
on 23/02/2021, 16:46:23 UTC
Not just ETH, my Bitcoin transactions are still pending for almost 12hrs now and I think the traffic is really huge right now since everyone is trying to exit the market as soon as possible. The whole market are very congested for the past 24hrs, this should normalize when panic selling was done already and I’d hope to receive my funds as soon as possible.
People are trying to get out of the market and they are simply making miners to get rich, anyways it's wise to swap your coins for USDT and when trying to make ethereum transaction right now make sure you send with high gas fee

From USD2000 dropped down to USD1400 for only 2 days?

Anyone knows what is happened?   Cry
You make it sound as if ethereum is the only coin dropping, isn't bitcoin the first coin that other coins are looking up to? What is the price of bitcoin right now? 47,800$ so tell me, how won't Ethereum be affected? If bitcoin recovers ethereum will definitely revaluate too

Re: Is altcoin mining still a thing?
by
Apostlekin$$$
on 22/02/2021, 18:19:21 UTC
Its still a thing (as others have mentioned ETH) but its not quite the same as 2017/2018.  Back then new shitcoins were popping up daily, along with a steady stream of coins that may be more profitable depending on what GPU you had.  Those days are pretty much gone.  A lot of those coins went to asic and there isn't the influx of new coins.  Right now ETH is about the only game in town if you have a card with more than 4 GB of RAM.
Well we still have some new altcoins but no one cares much about them, we have conflux which is already topping the chart of the most profitable altcoins presently, we have ergo too which is a DeFi PoW algorithm coin, there is another too which is has a name like 🦊 Foxd or something like that, it was dumped months ago and now back with a vengeance

Re: rejected shares ?...
by
Apostlekin$$$
on 22/02/2021, 18:15:53 UTC
You're using Nicehash miner to mine at Nicehash, maybe you should ask them.
They also have a FAQ about rejected shares.

The reason for the reject is important and is usually reported when a share is rejected
but wasn't included in your screencap.
At first I've decided to change nicehash pool to other pools like ethermine but I later find out that the rejected shares are false alarm, my mining calculator said I will be making $15 every day and mining on nicehash pool give me the exact amount or a little bit over every 24 hours

Re: why hashrate is go increased in screen saver ?

The option to activate or deactivate dedicated GPU in BIOS may not be available if your CPU doesn't have any integrated GPU on board my question is what type of CPU are you using are you sure it has integrated GPU cos not all CPU has integrated GPU you have to figure that out first

I do have a gpu on board "Intel(R) HD Graphics" and it works when i unplug dedicated gpu but can't make them work together maybe it's bios limitation can't enable options in bios and my motherboard is Gateway Dt71 already try their new bios version of 2012 -__-.

My cpu is i7 2600
I don't know what is going on here but I can see that it's your motherboard issue because I have a motherboard here and the BIOS has no settings to activate or deactivate igpu or even graphics card but still whenever I connect my HDMI cable direct to the motherboard I always get a display even when my graphics card is connected

Yeah Furryball it depend on the motherboard, some allow the integrated gpu to work aswell as dedicated one same time, not the case for me unfortunatly
How about if OP can upgrade the motherboard BIOS first before concluding that it's not working? there are some motherboards like that, after you upgrade the BIOS it will start working or the on-and-off button of PCIe and igpu will be visible, don't give up yet OP

I'm using 1150 Cclock and 2200 Mclock for weeks already and I'm getting 30.32MH on the rx580 with Micron memory, pretty stable, also I use AMD wattman to underclock the voltage for the memory to 860mV, power draw is 83 watt max, you have no problem

i am not sure, but i am afraid we will see Red candles soon   Undecided
It's certain that red market will come, to avoid getting caught in the mess that's why it's advisable to take profits when available, store your coins to stable coins and probably buy back when popular coins are in blood pool

Well no losses so far this 2021, my biggest loss was in 2020 when I sold 0.5btc for a shitcoin and now the altcoin is worth 500$, till this day there is no sign of recovery and it looks like the project is already abandoned, imagine if I still got my 0.5btc today
