Re: Pywallet 2.2: manage your wallet [Update required]
by

I have an old wallet.dat. I don't know the source and which coin is about.
I'm trying to scan it with this python script. I'm on Windows, that's why I tried for now.

Downloaded PWI_0.0.3.exe
Installed in Download folder
Once I go into the Download folder directory there is an install.bat file, but I've already installed it (it runned automatically)
Now I got this GnuWin32 folder

What's the next step? Can't find any pywallet.bat file

Phore

Circulating supply 8.122.036
Max Supply: 11,268,429

Governance Masternode Voting
Segwit
The creation of the functional Smart Contracts
They are launching a marketplace based on Phore
Very professional and active developers, and active community
Look at the roadmap for everything

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=za55EojcR-w
If they deliver (and trust me, they will) this is huge

Please do a deep search about it and tell me if it's not a good pick, I'm willing and I'd like to discuss! Maybe I'm wrong about it

P.S. I'm not shilling it, I'm not expecting honestly big earnings by this, I bought it knowing that it will face a slow and healty rise over the weeks, it's one of those coin under the radar that keep rising because people are interested not for the price but the coin itself. This is a hidden gem.
Another perfect coin who will receive a good healthy rise is SkyCoin
These two are coins with a working product and the best devs behind it, others are just vaporwave

Re: Extracting Bitcoin Gold from 2FA & Multisig Electrum Wallet

Does your X1 xprv and X2 xprv actually look like this: xprv9vBq3lgskdah4l5h2yt894th93hhbcbsdcgbhsjcguyegfUYGJHGFJHGFg34ff1Z68Mt3vsB3k6SVFk M

That is to say... does it start with the 4 letters "xprv" or does it look something like this: RhooCVdENKkQnsw1SelJzYpJetYscSqnHnc7vKw0bvsKpzv5VquuNKSsX6gBm74wWgv493iawJMGBFF 12OkUfZsES6L2fxDMpdYlfJtpJohGLuGj1sM7mGPppejGFZ9pbRrx1KUJnnQPvCFcaDzVVU5FAmCBVm +ykAuOqLxf2ME=

If it looks like the 2nd example (and ends in =)... "Rhoo.... ME=", then I suspect you have set a wallet password... as per the instructions, when you create the disabled 2FA wallet, you must NOT set a wallet password, otherwise the keys are encrypted and you cannot copy/paste them from the wallet file.

Use: "Wallet -> Password", enter your current password and then leave the new/confirm password boxes BLANK. This will remove the password from your wallet file and when you open the wallet file, you should see that your xprv is now unencrypted and starts with "xprv"

Thanks, that was it Smiley and btw: Do i need to synchronise whole BTG blockchain via BTG core wallet or i can do next steps without it?

Nope, you need to sync

Hi!

Looks like I am stuck at the beginning. So I have created the 2fadisabled wallet, but when I am trying to open it with text editor the file looks like a mess and it does not have any "xprv" values in it. I do the cmd+F search and nothing pops up for xprv. I am using Mac OS HS and Electrum 3.0.3 Can anyone help, please?

Very strange, I don't really know how Mac works honestly, never had it but I guess it opens the files just like the .txt of Windows.
Btw, don't use CMD+F, just go on the very bottom of the text file, if you want PM me a screen of the very bottom of the txt obscuring the sensible datas, I can check

I will try to replicate it on Windows maybe. Electrum for Mac might create different wallet files or something. Honestly, there is no xprv in the file whatsoever - neither at the bottom nor at the top.

You can try with Parallels Desktop or Virtual Box to emulate Windows on Mac OS, if you need help tell me, I can also come on Skype

I get stuck when I have to put x1/ xprv code on Mnemonic Code Converter. It shows "Invalid root Key". Tried it couple of times, with and without commas etc.
https://ibb.co/cBiv76

Have you done this?

Quote
In "BIP32 Root Key" box paste the x1 /xprv from BTG.txt we created, select “BIP32” and in Client select “Custom derivation path”, in “BIP32 Derivation Path” leave “m/0”

WHAT TO DO WITH CHANGE ADDRESSES:
Ok I said that this was only for “Change” addresses, let’s discuss about “Change” addresses (https://i.imgur.com/aZ7XHJd.png):

There is only one simple thing that changes:
In the step where we paste the x1 /xprv and the x2 /xprv code in iancoleman website you need to select “m/1” instead of “m/0” in “BIP32 Derivation Path”.
That’s it.

I mean, they are so rich, they can start to mine Bitcoin, even if they lose some money they shouldn't care, they are ok with all those money they already have.
Am I wrong?

Yes , you are!!!
Because rather than asking why the "rich" guys aren't fixing BTC you should start learning who bitcoin works.

More miners would have no real impact on the confirmation speed. The time between blocks will decrease for a while but with the difficulty adjustment it will go back to 10 minutes a block.
One miner or 1 million it doesn't matter, it's not like sending 100 more trucks to carry gold from a mine.

Mining at a loss is not the solution to solve the transaction problem. We have to think of better solution.

Mining at a loss?
An s9 is going to ROI in two months even with 10 cents per kw and you are talking about mining at a loss?

I meant that there are more profitable coins to mine I guess

There is also another fork, Bitcore (BTX) that can be claimed with their Core Wallet. I'm doing this method too but for that fork for some reason doesn't work. Would be great if you can find the method for BTX and release to the public. Smiley
Have a nice day!

P.S.The fork is 1 BTC : 0.5 BTX

Great work on the BTG 2FA explainer you wrote, it is really well done. Didn't find it after a quick look, but if you post it here we can add it to our first post of this thread & to our service thread.

We haven't had a client ask us for their BTX, as it's such little value compared to BCH & BTG, but it is certainly worth looking at to maximize total value for clients.  Do you have to register for that one?  Or are there claiming periods?

You too, you're doing a great job too!
Btw I'm talking about this fork https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1883902.0 I guess it's not very valuable but it's still free money and we can dump it to get better alts
