True, maybe a system like reddit would be better, let the community decide which posts and posters should be upvoted and downvoted, and individuals can then decide which posts they will ignore.

Sure it's annoying, but how else do you expect to make someone earn *somewhat* of a reputation before communicating with the community at large? Think of it as a IQ test to get into something like mensa. It keeps most of the idiots out.

There's nothing wrong with currency investing, it happens all the time. Whatever helps move more bitcoins around and gain popularity is good.

Isn't this the ultimate goal? When all bitcoins are mined then it can operate as a stable currency. It has the potential now, but with all the speculation and ups and downs in popularity the price is too volatile for this.
(Am I wrong here?)
