He's resigning to throw himself fully at BTC. A strange reason to panic.
That is just what the public announcement says. You cannot take such announcements at face value. He may have been fired or he may have left, for any of many reasons.
Stop raining on our parade here.

Re: Is 2014 going to be the WORST EVER year for Bitcoin in terms of valuation?
Ha, ha, no way. The run up at the end of 2013 clearly got everyone spoiled to the fun of straight line advances. A year ago bitcoin was still under 100 USD and 250 USD was the peak everyone was sad about missing out on. 2014 may not see us hit a new high, but it is far from the worst year ever!
Well, if we are talking about % and not absolute gains, the picture may not be so dandy.
I'm a high school drop out and thanks to crypto I'm retired.
Are you really retired, or just not working for now?
Done! Bought a few thousand btc early on, sold at 250 and 1000 and have retired since. I have a few properties, a healthy bank account and a few old school cold wallets put away for safe keeping! For all intensive purposes I've retired. I do however maintain 3 rental properties that I own, some people call that work. I call it living!
Viva la Bitcoin and Cloakcoin!
Wow, kind of jealous. One or two more bubbles and I may be able to do the same.
Why would they adopt BTC? They have a proprietary money transfer system with credits.
And, they could easily sell those credits currently via PayPal, giving up ONLY $.30 + 2.9% per transaction, not to mention charge backs. If ONLY their were a cheaper way!
Talking about the money transfer system itself, not ways that customers can buy credits.

About the TX. When I right-click on the transaction an chose "View on Blockchain.info", is it safe to post the web address or there is something private in it? I do not know where to find my public address.
Posting that address is OK, people generally post them to verify to others that they have made a payment, or to help diagnose a transaction.
Do transactions fall ill?

Re: Is 2014 going to be the WORST EVER year for Bitcoin in terms of valuation?
With a free market, you would think exchanges would always be lowering fees to try to get more customers. It might take time but it should happen. We just need more trustworthy exchanges, that's what I think is missing. Why can't these exchanges get their acts together at the rates they are charging?
Too bad the western exchanges didn't take one out of China's book and give us 0% fees for some time.
Why do so many people use btc-e? When I looked at it, it looked so shady and like most things were not written in correct English, and I understood they are located in Russia or something. How could you trust them any more than you trusted Gox? My, I swear, if a solid exchange came along it could dominate the market.
They are located in Bulgaria, I believe. People use them because all the exchanges are shady, but BTC-E has by far the best trading engine/least lag. And they have been around forever, paid out when they were hacked, covered liquidity losses during margin call cascade. They are the most honorable exchange, hands down.
