Because Kore is solving difficult real-world problems that people are clammoring for.
Because 99% of crypto is “Me Too”. Kore is the 1%.
Because investments that win long term are the ones normal people actually use.
Because I will use a Kore Phone, and I will give one to everyone I know.
Because I love basic freedoms.

The Strong and Silent will step up. Thank you, Team Kore.

Can anyone discuss preferable hardware requirements for the upcoming KORE wallet?  I realize there are probably many possible alternatives, but if you were personally going to purchase one dedicated laptop or desktop or other device for a KORE wallet node (under $1000 USD please, but under $500 USD even better), which would you choose?  Huh Smiley Cheesy

To the KORE Community:

First I want to apologize and take full responsibility for how this Swap is taking so long and it is on our end.
Yes, the KORE Product is more than fine. Just some sticky Tor issues at the moment we are all
working diligently on.
Lets not let this ruin a incredibly successful General Public Marketing event that is tantamount to having a USA
sports player promoting KORE on live National TV.
NOT ONE PERSON was negative, I repeat,...100% of the people we positive about KORE
Privacy and Security platforms and are anxious to use them.
Brazil is in the middle of a huge political main stream issue about Privacy and we nailed it in Brazil.
Brazil is the epicenter for South America and Silvana IS THE BEST of Brazil and huge there.
This marketing event WAS NOT for the Crypto Space. NOT for the USA, NOT for the EU.
Now you know this single effort we put into only,... South America.

Once the Wallet is out we can begin to market to the Crypto space.
This opportunity in South America was too good to pass up and proven huge success.

What I see is the Crypto Space thinks they are at the center of the universe and YES,.. you are,
For the "Tech end of Crypto". But KORE Projects end goals are not just the Crypto Space.

The KORE Team wants to thank Silvana for working with us to put this together.

MikeMike

1. Do most of the KORE developers work primarily in Brazil?  This is unexpected and very positive news.

2. One translation service said KORE in Spanish means "Sculpture of young woman dressed characteristic of Greek Art". Is this correct?

3. How does KORE Portuguese translate to english?

4. Is Silvana on Bitcointalk.org KORE group with a KORE wallet address so we can tip her and thank her (so she will perhaps consider joining the KORE team for a long time.  She would be a great strategic Communications Manager!)

!!GREAT JOB MXRider420!!

The real news in the last 2 days: Mass delisting at Bittrex has started (5 listings at a time, it would appear). Mass locking out of non-verified Bittrex accounts also happened all at once in the last 3 days. Once these accounts are one-by-one verified and re-activated, frightened people will retreat to quality listings only.  Quality = Unique token use case that would help average citizens.

KORE, unlike 70% of Bittrex offerings that are arguably in imminent danger of Howey Test failure, is not a security.  KORE, in my opinion, is the First Amendment for 2017+ digital communication. Apparently, Bittrex agrees.

KORE is not on the Bittrex delisting list, as Julian's attention to the KORE wallet concurrent with the above 2 enormous Bittrex events would indicate.

Julian thanked the KORE development team (see MikeMike's recent screen shot). When was the last time Julian thanked a development team, or anyone else, for anything? Julian / Bittrex have zero time or tolerance for any tokens other than those with unique functionality, tight code, and professional developers.

Yes, you can't wait for the Wallet, which will function in ways no other wallet does. But this weeks victory is KORE achieving lifeboat status Bittrex, not to mention credible advancements to a top 5 most immediately useful blockchain product. My opinion only.

Would someone smart please teach me ...

How to find out how many sports/game contracts are actually being utilized per day from [1st]?

If the developers would show a graph that shows steady growth month after month, that links to a blockchain in which others can verify, this could be a big winner.

Yes, the price may be rising now.  I would like to know if it is rising because of speculation, or because [1st] eSports contracts are actually being used!!

everything crashing hard except nexus, why??

Bitcoin lost $4 Billion in market cap at a hint of increased China cryptocurrency regulation 3 days ago, all other cryptocurrencies that could become worthless overnight at the whims of President Xi Jinping's administration fell in harmony with Bitcoin 3 days ago.

Nexus' value increased in the last 3 days because, being satellite based in the near future, they will be the 1 functional Crypto on the future day when Bitcoin is shutdown.  Nexus already solved Bitcoin's $4 Billion dollar blink ... for $2 Million.

Every time you see Bitcoin and everybody else fall due to (1) Regulation (2) Scaleability (3) Quantum hacking resilience, you will see Nexus go up.  Nexus is like Insurance.  You don't need it until you do.

Quick update everyone:

Nexus network was attacked recently which is why the wallets are down on Bittrex and Cryptopia.  If you are in our Slack group, you would know that Nexus team was successful in fending off this attack to the chain and prevented double spending.  We are working to bring exchange wallets back online.  These early attacks on the network are good for Nexus, as it strengthens the network and helps us close any attack vectors.  Nexus has been under heavy attack since the beginning, but it has escalated intensely over last few months.

Please check here to make sure you are on the correct block height: http://nexusoft.io/platform/

Using the Nexus-QT, go to Help --> Debug Console to see which block your wallet is on.

If your wallet forked off the main chain during the attack, you can fix this fairly easily.

On Windows, make sure you can see Hidden Items (or Hidden Files/Folders) in your Windows Explorer

Then go to C: --> Users --> (PC Username) --> AppData --> Roaming --> Nexus

1.  Backup wallet.dat by copying it to another folder
2.  Backup any Nexus.conf files you have IF you are mining (you probably won't have any config files if you are not mining)
3.  Then Delete everything EXCEPT your wallet.dat and any config files
4.  Download the blockchain bootstrap here if you don't want to redownload the whole chain from peers: http://nexusminingpool.com/downloads/blockchain.rar
5.  Unpack the database files into the Nexus folder
6.  Now run the Nexus-QT.exe client again
7.  Wait for wallet to load (can take ~20 mins to load database)
8.  After that, go to Help --> Debug Window --> Console, and type: repairwallet
9.  You should see your correct balance once the next block propagates

If you need more assistance, our community can provide nearly 24 hour help in Slack: http://nexusearth.com:3000/

Onward, and forward.  There is a HUGE update coming soon from Colin with the new Lower Level Database (LLD) and some updates to Trust Key expiration as well.  Stay tuned for that update in next couple weeks.  We plan to have binaries for Windows, Mac, Linux on that next update as well.

Why would NXS be frequently targeted when there are 50+ cryptocurrencies that are much more liquid?  What's in it for an attacker who can hardly convert $1,000 NXS per day into BTC?  Greatest respect to the NXS team, but frequent NXS unavailability is trying.

Since Nexus is self-funded by the Development Team, we have set up a BTC account to pay for items like servers for the Network and website, ticker change at Bittrex, website maintenance, bounties for needed tasks, marketing materials, etc.  If you would like to contribute to help the Nexus Team pay for some of these and other expenses our BTC address is 1My2GsdknNxs2x8BLPfzAQUQ1oGVouBi6Y.  Every little bit helps.  We thank you for your continued support.

The Nexus Team

Every single person in the NXS community should take this very seriously, and speak up.  Yes, even you.

I am a completely objective voice.  I have zero affiliation with NXS development team.  I have 20 years of experience in the stock market however, and know why and how winners and losers emerge.

Everyone on this board is ‘lean and hungry’.  Developers as well as NXS enthusiasts like me and you.  Smart and damn near broke leads to innovation.  Smart and completely broke leads to cutting corners, talent poaching, and collapse.  The development team has given fair warning that they are somewhere in between the two.  Yes, I understand, likely no one reading this has extra money.  So let us re-examine the problem and challenge the status quo:

Can we vote to increase the developer commission percentage, right now?  If not, exactly how long COULD YOU PERSONALLY work nearly for free, even on a project you deeply believed in?  How much of your personal grocery money would you invest in servers, if you were Colin, if you were already working and innovating for nearly nothing?  If you think 2.5% is excessive, you can always jump over to LBRY or another cryptocurrency which was literally 99% developer/insider controlled from day 1, and they are still performed a $500K funding raise on September 8th.  There should be performance bonuses as well every time NXS hits $5M, $10M, $15M etc. in market cap.  Colin, what % do you need?  Please give us a frank discussion of a sustainable compensation plan and let’s put it to a vote.

If you think a primary developer deserves no salary, and working for nothing a measure of dedication, just wait until Ethereum or another well funded product offers to pay Colin to leave Nexus and save their inferior blockchains on a day when his rent is due and his girlfriend asks him why he is turning down steak for a PB&J?  He has NEVER asked for money, but how exactly do you expect him to cover his rent while he works for you?  Developer poaching by a well-funded crypto is the 51% attack that NXS enthusiasts like you and I should be concerned with, while Colin is busy defending your hopes and dreams from quantum computer attacks.

Exactly what value do miners provide Nexus functionality and stability?  Please forgive my lack of understanding on this topic.  Is their compensation proportional to the irreplaceable value they provide?  Will their value change when Nexus is satellite based?  How does their compensation/irreplaceability ratio compare to Colin?

There were several hundred search engines in 1996, and Google was nobody special.  You will be amazed how many cryptos will evaporate in the next 10 due to problems Nexus has already solved.

Don’t starve Usain Bolt, my dear friends in the Nexus community.  Compensate Colin fairly and free him to innovate.

What is the problem though?  NIRO wallet has been up and down on bittrex (at least I've noticed) for the past few weeks.  Is the issue a Nexus - Bittrex one, or Nexus alone?  Or, for that matter, a solely Bittrex problem...?

As I understand, from following slack, all the problems stem from somebody mining directly to the Bittrex wallet.

So, a problem with far less than 1% of the outstanding NIRO has halted functionality for a week+ on the only exchange with any substantial NIRO liquidity.  This tiny error condition could do the same damage next month, based on a small handful of miners who might make the same mistake, that NIRO cannot prevent.  The exact same problem could/could not happen to BTC or ETH.  The probability of someone repeating this error, frankly, is reasonably high.  Somebody correct this analysis, because this is why would-be buyers of NIRO are not buying.

I believe in the NIRO development team greatly, but these are my concerns.

Thank you for your faith in our team but most importantly having faith in the community. Like Viz said... this is a silver lining as it is a bug in other cryptocurrencies that has been solved with Nexus First. Other cryptos should take heed of this bug and fix it before it effects them as well.

"videlicet
10:57 AM Neither I nor Richie have seen it before, but the good news with this problem, Nexus is now immune to a bug that every other currency may find sooner or later.
10:57 Since I've dug it out and provided the way to fix it
10:59 Feel free to compile some of the new source and use the -walletclean parameter if you ever find any issues in the balance accounting. I've now put rewriting the wallet class code as higher priority since number of tx's and also how the wallet accounts balances is slow, not scale able, and not suited for our future growth

[...]

videlicet
11:04 AM Yup, it's an issue with berkleeDB
11:05 And the current wallet db code can't handle it gracefully
11:05 Now it can for Nexus"

It seems like yesterday I was 22 years old buying my first stocks, quadrupled then lost it all in 2 years.  Now I've seen many bulls, young men, many bears....tens of thousands of SEC filings.  I've grilled CEO's, seen bubbles and panics, analyzed every type of IPO, seen them come and go, you name it.

You've just seen high quality management on display, here at NEXUS, in the last 2 weeks: First in the industry to uncover a highly disruptive design flaw.  No excuses, no hiding, just attacking the problem.

This gentlemen, is why NIRO will be looked back upon 10-years from now, as the first and only needed, resilient blockchain.

A $2 Million dollar market cap right now.  You don't want to know.

Hi, basic comparative questions that I think will intrigue a broader audience:

Nexus developer team always emphasizes that Nexus [NIRO] can peacefully co-exist with bitcoin.  Is there any structural reason, however, that bitcoin could not be phased out by market forces for NIRO in the coming years?

Is there anything unique about bitcoin, or any other altcoin, that Nexus [NIRO] cannot outperform?

What are the likely/plausible scenarios of losing essential functionality that will cripple Bitcoin and others in the upcoming
years that NIRO will survive?

What characteristics about NIRO cannot be copied retroactively to Bitcoin and other long standing altcoins?

Please answer in novice terminology so that answers are effectively tweetable.  Thank you.

Adam,
There is only 1 of you.  Its too much to ask for you to focus on xx items for everybody.  You don't need an upgraded wallet folks, you need a MJC that is being used routinely OUTSIDE of Bittrex, and for a valued commodity.

I have 2 decades of experience in markets.  A map pinned with the location of dispensaries that accept MJC, updated weekly, adding a modest 1 or 2 dispensaries weekly, is all that is needed to make this a $5 coin in a year.  You can put 10,000 hours of work into wallets and everything else, and it will be a waste of time compared to a growing dispensary map.

Appreciative of the time you have devoted.  Don't become discouraged, this really will be a BTC challenger, a true international powerhouse, with a growing map.

-J Archru

Adam, forget about wallets and social media for a bit an listen to Archru he knows how to market. This is a great suggestion and should be easy to implement.

true I think its a great idea.

Adam,
I'll back my words with this:

1. 1000 MJC transferred by me to anyone who shows proof of a new dispensary accepting 1 MJC for 1 gram that is located 20+ miles from any other dispensary offering the same.
2. 5000 MJD transferred by me to anyone who shows proof of a new dispensary accepting 1 MJC for 1 gram, that is the first to offer such an exchange in any new state in the USA, or the first in any another country outside of the USA.
3. Geocommons.com makes excellent maps like this for free.  I would rather another volunteered to maintain the map, but I will if need be.

This is the direct path to exponential MJC success, close driving range to every county in every legal state, it really is.  It will be frightening how this could take off, serving an underbanked growing industry, if that map grows steadily.  Otherwise, this will bleed to zero, nothing in between.

Obviously, someone will have to continue the hard work of supplying new grams to the new locations routinely, but the payoff will be swift and absolutely stunning.

Yes, the above will cost me a lot of money, and it will make all of us substantially more...try it.

High regards,
J. Archru

The only thing that matters is how far someone has to drive to find a merchant that accepts MJ as trade for a product.  Roadmaps don't matter, merchants accepting MJ matter.  That is the formula for sustained price appreciation.

The worst thing you can do is bog down Adam and Jahvinci with minutiae.

Give Adam and Jahvinci freedom to operate.  Good job guys.
