A simple link to your thread would have been cool but what a lot of people on this thread would love to hear about are the details like how are you handling heat extraction, whats your power distribution look like. How many Killawatts are your burning!Whats the heat like in a room full of miners like that. Is it deafingly load?
Hi Hurricandave - Andy from Hydro66 here.
As joust mentioned it's all free air cooling. We have a very large (filtered) air inlet in the building side and then exhaust the hot air through the roof. We have some chunky fans for the height of summer too (although we just had the warmest summer in 100 years and they didn't even break sweat). The rest of the year the inlet temp is more than cold enough.
We're in the same part of the world (slightly further north) as Facebook's $1bn datacentre in Luleä.
We can support a few MW in our current facility. We'll be announcing something much bigger in the next few weeks.
Surprisingly enough the noise level in the DC is pretty quiet - you can easily have a conversation at normal speaking volume. Standing right next to the rigs you can feel some radiant heat - perhaps like a warm sunny day, but a few feet back and you are back at ambient.
Hey Dalkore - great job and thanks for keeping this thread going, also would like to join you in thanking QG for the original directory thread which has been a great resource.
Latest news from Hydro66 - we have 4MW of new space live in September to join our existing 11MW which is sold out and are taking orders now.
We are proud and happy to announce that we are launching the all-new Antminer X3, a new Antminer model for mining cryptocurrencies based on the hashing algorithm CryptoNight.
The Antminer X3 delivers a minmum hashrate of 220KH/s while consuming 550W of total power.
To prevent hoarding by certain users or resellers and to ensure that more individual miners in different time zones around the world are able to order this new ASIC miner, we have made some changes:
There is a limit of one miner per user for all orders in the current (two) batches. We will release both these batches with an equal stock thrice today: at 3PM, 6pm and 9PM (15 March, GMT+8). Click below to learn the price or to order after the scheduled time of launch:
Protip 1 - 2mW + available power you mean MW Protip 2 - 500 kW/H.. you mean kW not kW/H (and even if you meant kWh, which you don't, it's kWh not kW/h)
In the meantime happy to report our 16 x 10^9 mW DC expansion is going well opening in April. Wholesale requirements >400kW (in 20kW racks) feel free to PM me for details.

Hey Guys,
Sorry for not writing in German. I just wanted to confirm yes Polargrid is an accredited client and reseller of Hydro66 and yes we are located in the 'Node Pole' or 'Netzknoten Pole' - region of Sweden (not the North Pole). In fact we are about 80 miles from the line of the Arctic Circle "Nördlicher Polarkreis" and the point where at the winter solstice the sun does not rise.
The Node Pole https://www.nodepole.com/ is the regional development agency for the North of Sweden that has attracted a large amount of datacentre investment in the North of Sweden following Facebook's mega-datacentre build in Luleå.
There's > 4300MW of renewable hydroelectric power on the Lule river and we are rapidly expanding our site - see our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/hydro66 for pictures.
cheers
Andy/Arctic

Hi Guys,
A quick update from Hydro66 since we are more or less completely sold out now and we are aware of the capacity issues at other sites.
If you visit our facebook page you will see the construction work that we have underway to expand our site by 12MW. https://www.facebook.com/hydro66/ The 130MW substation next door is buzzing with anticipation.
All our power will continue to be 100% renewable hydroelectric.
New 4MW server halls will be available starting Q1 2018. For customers who don't have businesses or have hosting requirements below our minimum we can refer you to clients that can provide a turnkey hosting service.
For large requirements we will also take pre-orders. To the moon!!! ┗(°0°)┛ ..○ (as they say)

A quick update - we are almost sold out of our initial 4MW and are busily constructing 8MW of new colocation space on the same site - you can see pics on our facebook page.
We have some space left for ASICs or GPU miners (in cases only) - 10kW minimum.
We are also able to take pre-orders for wholesale 2MW entire halls for early 2018 for large scale miners wanting an EU base.
As always freel free to PM or contact via email or via our website for more details.

Hi Sunbreak -
Our minimum at Hydro66 is only 5kW these days (i've mailed a few times to have our listing updated) and have further deals on quantity and contract term.
As above though we're sold out of crypto space for the next few months - feel free to email me though and I'll put you on my list to get in touch when we are taking orders for the new space RFS Q1.
Unlike other locations that have run out of grid or substation capacity though we've plenty of power on site (120MW!) we just have to build the space!
Cheers Arctic

Hi everyone,
I thought you might like a quick update on the expansion of our datacentre in Sweden - I know we have several customers and potential customers on the forum.
We are now sold out of crypto capacity for the rest of 2017 and so we've embarked on an 8 Megawatt expansion for 2018 - covered here:
The energy tax changes in Sweden since Jan 1 have given us the lowest power cost in Europe and coupled with great connectivity and Free Cooling (yes, we don't charge any PUE uplift) we look forward to continuing to be of service to the community.
Our minimum commit now is 5kW/12 months and we will have lots of new space available Q1 so feel free to PM or email at andy.long@hydro66.com for more info.
We have a 120MW substation next door so we are ready for anything.
I would like to know if I will pay VAT taxes if i ship my mining rigs to Hydroo66 (Sweden) as i ship my rigs from France as private individual ?
Thank you in advance !
Well, you are not _selling_ the goods just transporting them so you would not pay VAT on the value of the miner just the VAT on the cost of shipping. VAT is charged when goods are bought or sold. I'm sure you already paid VAT when you got the miners from China as that was the original sale transaction.
Hi guys,
That's not right
If they were being imported to the EU from China then you do pay import VAT, and on the value of the miner not the cost of the shipping.
However as your kit is already in France and you are shipping to us in Sweden there is no import VAT to pay at all. Single Market.
Can you tell me that space are still available at 60/kw/m in your data center for gpu mining rigs ? do you have some proof of existence please (photos of racks with gpu minings, feedbacks from clients ?)
thanks !
Hi Typh0n93,
Yes we have space - Here we are on French TV (complete with subtitles) - that's me doing the tour.
Since then we have built out all of the empty space you see in that hall. We have several customers running GPU rigs. You're also welcome to come and visit by prior arrangment.
Just an update for hydro66 - we have up to 300kW of unstructured space in Sweden available from December suitable for GPU rigs or Antminers as well as our normal large scale wholesale availability.
