Good to invest but in BTC. But if you can't afford to invest in BTC then I would say to invest in trusted alt-coins. But in that case very carefully. Alt-coins are far behind in terms of reliability. But if you are a beginner then start with small invest because it is very high risk. Invest very little money.

I think you didn't read the OP. he already gave 3 different amounts of money and asked where would you invest if you had that much money. $5000 is way too enough for starting investment in bitcoin, you can't buy a whole BTC with that, but enough for starting trading, you can buy altcoins too if you want. If I had that much money I would divide them among 100 different altcoins and start trading with them. I would allocate some of the money to join new IDOs because nowadays they are in trend and giving big returns for particpating.

The way things were done in the past have changed from what it is. If you say that the internet is at home and just lie there without doing anything outside the house, it is not healthy for you. Indeed the internet makes things instant until everyone just lives at home. This makes humans unhealthy because they don't do activities such as walking to the market. Even though you can exercise in the house but breathing the fresh air in the morning is better. But that's the development of the times we feel, like it or not, with all of this you have to follow it. In my environment, I should say that being rich has to be associated with power. You’ll never be rich without the power to keep your wealth consistently. Being rich also has to be consistent. You wouldn’t want to be a one day millionaire.
You can always have a million dollar on your bank but that wouldn’t guarantee you becoming rich in the long run. And in order to do that, you have to make sure you have enough cash flow at the point where you don’t need to work and you still earn while you sleep. Not just earn enough but earn more and it has to be in in growing curve.
But honestly, being rich for me is rich with Finance, Friends, Family and Spiritual. If I have these all at peace consistently? I don’t think I have to earn more than I could spend.
Money is always there if you know how the process and systems works. You will never ever lose a cash if you know the trick. So I guess, I should focus on building my relationships with my friends, family and myself. Freedom and inner peace is more important than anything in this world.

But listen, don't regret to have made a decision that secured you a profit + not realized additional profit.
