Re: Is now a good time to buy or i have to wait ?

What coins do you want to buy?
bitcoin (BTC)? Ethereum (ETH)? Ripple (XRP) or what?
some strong reasons to buy several different coins because they have different price fluctuations.

From now to middle of the year is a good time to buy the good coins such as bitcoin, bitcoin cash or eth.

Re: Best altcoin to hold for long term?

I think it's good if you do your own research if you want to buy those cheaper altcoins as more alts are having hype and its a risk to invest without doing your research.

Very often the cheapest "penny" altcoins really give the best profits but not all of them. If you are not yet ready to risk, pick better Cardano, NEO, DASH, Monero, and Qtum.

There's a lot of altcoin that in a cheap price because of the huge drop in the past few months until now the market are not fully recovered yet.  Yes is in the cheap price  but not all of them are worth it or will giving to you profits,  because a lot of them is a shitcoins. Make a research before invest.
yes, that is what we should do, before we buy altcoins to invest long term, or to trade, we better do the research with the altcoin first, choose what we think the coin will have a good development in the future, and we must really careful in choosing it, so that we will get big profits.

Do you think Bitcoin Cash or ETH have good development teams?

It seems this is a good time to invest a little bit in altcoin when prices are good
It's hard to talk about the hottest altcoin because the market is very volatile. To make a name , i choose DigiByte .The market goes down but dgb is stable compared to other altcoin . Dgb forecast is likely to be very high this year. Although it is now only $ 0. 034762 , but dgb is expected to increase $ 5 in five years

The price of altcoins has dropped a lot. Some of them are worth investing. Examples are BCH and Dash.

Keep your rigs off, if you Can't handle the low's and HODL sell the GPUs. I mined ETH through The Iceage, low of $182 back in Aug and its high in Jan, follow by it near market crash at 400-500. I kept all 72 RX 580's mining ETH the whole time.

I mine the ETH when there is profit. If the profit is low, I will make the rig to be more efficient.

for console reported 4.3k sols but pool reported as 4.05k+/- sols only.

The difference between my console and pool is about 6.5%. Similar to yours.

May I ask which GPU is best for mining the two ETH and XMR?

AMD GPU's best for ETH and XMR - RX vegas,

NVIDIA more flexible also good with ETH but not much with XMR compared to AMD

I agree. I use the AMD for ETH and 1080Ti for ZEC.

@realbminer not saying this miner is a Trojan horse, but it was working ok for many hours then in the night suddenly it started using all my hash for miners using it "Bminer 5.4" to mine somewhere else with IP address amazon compute(i.e. hosted by amazon) and some other places there was no change on the console nor was there a disconnect from the miner just that all shares found where going else where and my pool address share rate went to zero for about 30-60 minutes though miners where mining for all systems using the miner.

That is miner was mining for someone else for 30-60 minutes(not fee mining), this could have been triggered remotely by you as the miner appears shady, you need to explain, also there maybe a back door author uses to access mining machines using windows RDP (I had to disable this as passwords no longer accepted on some systems for RDP sessions)

https://imgur.com/a/ANf3N

I had same issue. Worked for one hour then all my hashpower got robbed.

How many people having this issue? I used for more than 24 hours, it behaves as intended, just 2% fee.

tested 3 hours on suprnova , mining ZCL dident found a single block . But miner shows workers on

scam

I tested 24 hours on the flypool. Compared to EWBF, it can get 2.7% more shares as shown in the miners.  So if you consider the 2% fee, it is 0.7% more than EWBF.

I use the 1080Ti.

Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest?
by

If I have now 500$ I would search for a promising ICO with a real usage, good looking roadmap and a solid team. Otherwise I would look to the recently added coins at coinmarketcap and find some informations about them and finally invest in one coin.
500$ is not big amount to join ICO and expect good return on investment. Instead of wasting time to check reliability of projects better go to buy cheap altcoins and sell on pump. But everyone should behave on his beliefs before trading any amount.

Is there any good ICO we can join?

if I have that $500 for investing some coins maybe half of my money will invest in bitcoin then half of my money invest in ethereum, 100% sure that I get profit from these coins for long term investments.

Maybe half for the Bitcoin Cash?

Furthering this question, what if you have $1500 today to invest?  Would you buy 3 more graphics cards for an existing miner?  Hope to find a BTC miner?  Buy in at the next crash?  This has been bugging me for some time now.  Sad

For difficulty is rising too fast. It is better to just buy the coin itself.

I would invest in Bitcoin and still in Ethereum. To strong coins.

I was a big fun of ETH  but an't say the same now. At that moment I invested into Confideal and Jibrel Network for sure
Why will you ever compare any of these coins to ETH. They are pretty new coins with their ICO ongoing in which they are using the same ETH token platform you are condemning for them. ETH is a pretty established coin already with a huge innovative project backing it which has given rise to most of these coins including the ones you have mentioned. So, you might want to consider keep being a fan of ETH rather than risking into new projects if you ask me Grin

But keep holding eth and risking into new promising and selective projects only with the affordable limit will not hurt anyone.

ETH could be good as there will be a big update soon.

seems like one of the better though out mining boards. 3 molex for pcie slots, 3 atx psu connectors. seems like you could make a cleaner setup on that board.

I like the 3 atx psu connectors

Re: I might have missed the boat on Bitcoin, but what about Ethereum?
by

There is no harm taking a small punt on a number of coins: Ether, Bitcoincash, Doge, Monero, Dash.

Do your research and try not to pay too much. Have a set point where you start to cash out profits. Pretty soon you'll have made yourself some more bitcoin.

I think all these coins are OK. But bitcoin cash could also be a good back if the Segwit version of the bitcoin fails.

I like all this, eth price going to hell, noobs buying millions of usd in hardware and difficulty is rising, profit is 250% down, ice age coming, reduction coming, and in few weeks profit will be 1000% down so all this means that noobs will finally have a reason to commit suicide.

If it affects most people, then it is not a problem.

The source If anyone is interested to read more: http://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/26/barclays-bitcoin-regulators-fca.html

I sadly don't believe that the banking system will ever adopt bitcoin, If they start doing so, It would be for a particular reason they hide (most likely to eventually control bitcoin). The maximum that could happen right now is making bitcoin legal in some countries.

I think the bitcoin implementation can cut the costs to the banks. So they might embrace it.
