Noob question. Is there a way for one to somehow value this instrument for market vs intrinsic value.. Any ratio performance driver?Or something similar in a way to 3 financial statement forecasting model for equities or is TA the only way to ride?

Chinese should be waking up now.  Wonder what they plan to do

Well, following the earnings release BABA aka 'benchmark for chinese economy' plummeted ~~ 10%. The Chinese will poop their pants and start hiding USDs under their mattress.

It would be nice to see it rocket up again - some of my mates lost lots of money in BTC. I myself managed to pull pretty substantial profit from it, but I joined the choo train a bit late. TA is just TA in the end - manage risk/ride the wave of volatility. There is serious manipulation going on, I am very curious to see where this will be in 6 months or so. Double digits are probably out of question, but I wouldnt be suprised if it "stabilized" in 1XX which will eradicate weak hands. Perhaps, just like all great ideas ,eg. communism in its purest form, BTC will slowly dwindle away and never reach its full potential.. not to mention be used for what it was intended to be used for...

To the Moon? Bullish? Awful TA damage done over the last two days for longs and plenty of heavy resistances on the way back up as the long positions  that held might dump when it hit their buy price around low-mid 200s. We will most likely dip another 10-20% before something happens. This will continue on a downward slope.. 1000 or 800 will never happen again my boys. Boys...

This forum is indeed very pathetic. I assume not many of you here are seasoned traders. This is purely an amateur hour, I left this shyte coin in the dust months ago and went back to equities and forex. This instrument will continue in a downtrend, this behavior is all too familiar. Getting coins at sub 200 was a nice move yes... whoever locked it in god job. At this point I would suggest only profiting from temporary volatility be it in upward or downward momentum. It will never reach its previous point of 800+...As of now it seems to be still moving in a strong downward momentum. It might break out to lets see 260 level then possibly 280 before another drop. People who bought their coins at 400 or 600.. and were 'hodling'. Well, I suggest you get better jobs my friends.

Another Newbie that doesn't know what he's talking about. lol

Been closely following/investing in  bitcoin since winter 2012...as for my occupation went to ETH Zurich and worked at a desk in Geneva for 5 years.
