Losing trust is really easy but regaining it is hard. I believe you should show little actions that show you can be trusted, through small steps you can regain the lost trust

Do something that allows you to relax and stop thinking about your problems: like sports, music, games... Physical exercise works great for me

Re: What is your favorite movie quote?
by

on 21/12/2017, 12:10:47 UTC
I would say that the whole speech of Charlie Chaplin in the Great Dictator, but I will just post part of it there, the most touching one:

"To those who can hear me, I say - do not despair. The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish. …..

Soldiers! don’t give yourselves to brutes - men who despise you - enslave you - who regiment your lives - tell you what to do - what to think and what to feel! Who drill you - diet you - treat you like cattle, use you as cannon fodder. Don’t give yourselves to these unnatural men - machine men with machine minds and machine hearts! You are not machines! You are not cattle! You are men! You have the love of humanity in your hearts! You don’t hate! Only the unloved hate - the unloved and the unnatural! Soldiers! Don’t fight for slavery! Fight for liberty!

In the 17th Chapter of St Luke it is written: “the Kingdom of God is within man” - not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people have the power - the power to create machines. The power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure."

In an universe as vast as ours with the multitude of galaxies and planets, I think there must be some other place where life is sustainable and does exist. Maybe it's just some bacteria or some early form of life. Maybe we are the most advanced race

Re: Does ages really matter in relationships?
by
ArteiaOfficial
on 06/12/2017, 13:39:26 UTC
What really matters is to be able to understand one another in a relationship, that is why age might be relevant - it's easier to relate to someone your age than if the difference is significant. This holds particularly true at an early age, but I think that from 30 yo a 5-6 year difference does not play a big role. You can also have people that are very (im)mature for their age

Re: What is the next crypto coin that will shake the world?
by

JesusCoin is the one that will shake the world as we know it! Through the grace it provides us and the miracles it grants, Christianity will rise again and cover the world with its grace!

On a more serious note, I agree with the fellas who believe ETH is the next big thing. It already is huge, but seeing how many companies and tokens are built upon it shows the huge margin of progress it still has for the future

You can be a part of good change by trying to be as good as possible in your everyday actions. It's the simple things that matter, the simple gestures, actions, words... If everyone starts to behave well, the world will become a better place

Re: Why people are unhappy?
by
ArteiaOfficial
on 04/12/2017, 13:33:58 UTC
It might be related to the human nature. Recent studies have shown that most of our thoughts have a negative connotation. I believe it has to do with basic instincts such as survival. We look at our environment and think about everything that can hurt us (physically, mentally, financially...). This in turn makes us worry more and more, bringing a sense of constant anxiety.

Also, with the increase in digital interactions, we share less and less moments with other people. We don't feel the emotions of human contact and confrontation with others in real life. On the internet you can be whoever you want to pretend to be, but you always know deep inside that it's not you. You gain recognition online by not being truly yourself. Not being able to know if you are liked/loved for who you really are is an important factor in making us unhappy. With a more and more digital society it is also harder to find a place in that society, while on the other hand we have easy access to information about all the amazing things we could be doing. Confrontation between our life and the extravagant life of others can deepen the feeling of unhappiness we have.

Re: All Muslims are terrorist?
by
ArteiaOfficial
on 04/12/2017, 13:24:33 UTC
I don't see all the muslim community carrying out attacks every single day, not even endorsing them. Most of them actually condemn those attacks, carried out by a minority. Don't forget that terrorist attacks were not only carried out by muslims - look at Northern Ireland, Corsica etc. Attacks in these communities were carried out by christian people, yet we are not asking the question of whether all christians are terrorists...

The fact is that some particularities of Islam make it easier to justify violent acts against others. When such rhetoric gets to "weaker" people, they can be turned into fanatics quite easily, leading them to conduct such horrible acts.
