Re: Panahon Na Nga Ba Maging "Cashless Society" ang Pilipinas?
by
Asusnumbaone
on 28/02/2021, 15:55:04 UTC
Kasi alam ko na yung sagot dito na hindi pa ready ang bansa natin i-give up ang cash transactions in favor of electronic ones kahit na may pandemic tayong kinakaharap being a cashless society isn't really a solution here either.

1. 52.8 Million (77%) Adult Filipinos are Still Unbanked

As of the latest Financial Inclusion Survey na ginawang ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas nuong 2017, 77% o 52.8 million na Filipino adults ay wala pa ding bank accounts. How can we be a cashless society if karamihan pa sa populasyon natin ay walang formal bank account? The success of being a cashless society ay talagang naka-depende ba talaga kung handa na ang sarili nating populasyon na maging digital yung mga payments natin, kung karamihan pa sa populasyon natin ang unbanked o yung mga taong wala man lang bank account will you say we are ready for a cashless system? I personally don't think so the learning curve for people who are unaware of digital payments will be very steep for them, hindi ako nandito para laitin sila pero hindi naman nila kasalanan kung bakit hindi pa sila ready sa ganitong sistema lalong lalo na kung biglaan at hindi necessary yung pag-babago

How about the Rural Areas of the Philippines?

Kung limang porsyento lang ng Filipino sa Rural regions ng Pilipinas ay may bank account how do you expect them to transition on a cashless society? Nakasama na ako sa madaming outreach programs sa mga rural areas ng Luzon if i-abot mo sakanila yung mga laptop, camera, o cellphone mo most of them will be clueless kung paano ito mapagana kahit sa teenager mo pa ito i-abot ay clueless pa din sila kung paano gamitin, yung mga cellphone nila ay hindi yung mga colored display pero similar sa Nokia 3210 na basic lang ang cellphone, if magiging cashless society tayo sila ang pinaka-mahihirapan mag-adjust.

2. "Cash is Still King" According to BSP Based on the Payment Methods Preferred by Filipinos

Cash is still king as 64% of Filipino adults whodid not use their accounts for payments cited that they still prefer cash in paying while 20% said that they are not aware that they could pay electronically using their account.

With the results of the research BSP was able to show kung bakit ang Philippine Peso pa din ang ginagamit ng mga Pinoy sa kanilang mga bayarin.

  • Purchases of Goods - 78% of Filipinos opt out in paying cash on the purchases of goods. 62% paid cash directly to merchants (Over-the-counter Payments) while 16% payed via Cash-on-delivery (COD)
  • Payments for Utility Bills - 69% of Filipinos still pays cash for their Utility Bills (Water, Electricity, Rentals). 57% paid cash directly to the utility companies while 12% paid cash using Bayad Centers
  • Payment of Loans - 79% of Filipinos paid in cash for their loan payments.

With the majority of the population still paying in cash dito niyo makikita na hindi pa ready ang Pilipinas sa suddent adoption ng mga cashless methods. Ang mahalagang i-note dito is 20% lang ng populasyon ang hindi nakaka-alam/aware na may mga alternative payments aside from OTC payments at COD but sa majority ng populasyon ay talagang preferred nila ang pag-bayad gamit ang pera. Even if may convenient way of paying sa bills, goods, at services makikita mo na ang mga Filipino ay talagang gustong gamitin ang pera nila sa pag-bayad, dahil nasa majority pa din ng Filipino ang nag-babayad sa cash sa tingin ko it is safe to say that we aren't ready to adopt cashless payments as the preferred choice sa Pilipinas.

cryzy pointed out na dumadami na ng mga "online sellers at buyer" natin dito sa Pilipinas well this data just show that even if sumisikat na ang online selling sa Pilipinas ang mga buyer pa din ay cash ang preferred nilang mode of payment. I personally prefer cash payments via COD kung ako ay may bibilihin sa Shopee or Lazada because based on my personal experience lahat ng online shops na may "pay first before deliver" na rule ay most likely scam or may defect yung item nila. Yung pinaka recent na experience ko dito is nung bumili ako ng disposable mask worth 1200₱ at napilitan ako magbayad through Dragonpay (BTC payment) after two days behind ng expected delivery ay dun na dumami nag-sabi na scammer yung seller at hindi dumating yung delivery nila buti nalang nakuha ko pa ulit yung bayad ko dahil yung bayad ay hawak pa rin ng E-commerce website na pinagbilihan ko.

3. Roughly a Third of the Population are Aware of What (Particular) E-Payments (PayMaya, GCash, Coins.ph) Are

Sa ngayon wala na tayong magagawa as an individual hindi natin sila pwedeng i-push sa isang payment method na kahit sila mismo ay ayaw gamitin, this kind of adoption will be heavily dependent towards the modernization of our country.

Re: Will bitcoin end the dollar’s reign?
by
Asusnumbaone
on 28/02/2021, 15:52:46 UTC
When the pandemic hit, the US dollar was as mighty as ever. Despite talk of faltering American supremacy, the dollar ruled as the medium of international trade, the anchor against which other nations value their currencies, and the “reserve currency” most central banks hold as savings.
Before the US, only five powers had enjoyed the coveted “reserve currency” status, going back to the mid-1400s: Portugal, then Spain, the Netherlands, France and Britain. Those reigns lasted 94 years on average. At the start of 2020, the dollar’s run had endured 100 years. That would have been reason to question how much longer it could continue, but for one caveat: the lack of a successor.

I think no because the bitcoi currency is lack of authority no government can control the bitcoin unless government will ban it but i think bitcoin its hard to banned because of the potential of its It will never replace dollar because of many reasons.

i. bitcoin whales
ii. the banks
iii. wall street
iv. hedge funds

vi. crypto influencers
Based in my observation the who control the price of the bitcoin are investors, media and etc. boosting popularity of the bitcoin on media it will attract many investors and the demand on it will increase same as the price ot it.

Re: Rich people causes cryptocurrency ban
by
Asusnumbaone
on 27/02/2021, 15:09:55 UTC
I seen that cryptocurrency want to be highjacked by rich people, looking around  countries currently, its noticeable that bitcoin increase everyday, every week and every months, the more rich people are investing with cryptocurrency the more government attacks cryptocurrency, most countries that values crypto today is having challenges with government, since bitcoin is important to the extent that top people invest on bitcoin why can't government alone adoption of bitcoin. The Rich's are causing eradication of cryptocurrency
Across the world.

* If I many ask what is the major reason while some countries ruling class ban bitcoin transaction?
* What is the negative effects using crypto as currency?
* what harm does bitcoin contributes a country that can lead to ban?

I think no because many investors of the bitcoin are rich people because if them bitcoin price are high many of them acknowledge bitcoin as potential high income compare to other bitcoin.

by
Asusnumbaone
on 31/01/2021, 13:45:41 UTC

2. Saan ako nagkulang? By the time na na-compute mo na ang mga nalugi sayo maiisip mo din kung saan ka nagkulang.

For example, yung token mo is lalabas pala sa top exchanges within a week pero binenta mo kaagad dahil hindi mo nabasa.

2 Bank accounts [1 Savings, 1 Expenses, 1 Emergency Funds*(Optional)]

3. Tumulong sa mga nangangailangan.  I-share mo ang iyong blessings, anonymously or intentional as long as ikaw ay nakakatulong sa iba lalo kang pagpapalain.

Re: High possibility major governments will BAN Bitcoin in the near future
by
Asusnumbaone
on 31/01/2021, 13:37:50 UTC
The major governments of the world have for some time been laying the groundwork for their own national cryptocurrencies. Does that matter? Yes, it matters a lot. Bitcoin will be a direct competitor.

Why do they do this? To remain in financial control and to stop financial crime like whitewashing of funds from happening. Is it likely to happen? Yes, the US banned holding gold privately in the 1930's. So that the US government was to be a monopoly gold holder in the US.

There is a clear danger that the US, Europe, China, Japan and others will get togheter and flat out ban and even criminalize the usage and holding of Bitcoin. Resulting in after the ban, if you are cought using and holding BTC, you would get a huge fine or jail term.

The price of Bitcoin would get killed completely, you would be looking at Bitcoin below $1000.

How likely do YOU think this scenario is? Although you might say this is only speculation, IT IS A FACT that these countries are working on cryptocurrencies of their own.
Bitcoin has an high value than other currency  and it can use by all people because of the lacking of authority. Government would ban bitcoin if the criminals using it on terrorising or it will be a threat to the current economy of their country. It all depends o how it will use either bad or good it is on hand of the person

Re: Bitcoin VS Gold - What is better for long term investors?
by

on 31/01/2021, 13:26:23 UTC
Hi Everyone!

I think it's time we had a serious discussion on whether or not Bitcoin is a better store of value than Gold. This topic has caused a lot of controversy over the last few years, so I would love to hear your thoughts.

Which asset do you think is a better store of value?

I wrote up some of my thoughts on whether Bitcoin or Gold is a better store of value.

However, I'm certainly open to changing my mind!

Looking forward to the conversation.
Bitcoin and gold is a good to invest because of its price but there's an difference on them. First bitcoin it is an cryptocurrency currency that used on the digital world and its has high price but the security of its are not solid. The gold are the most popular investment on America but the price of it is lower than Bitcoin.

Will share my merit points with you on this thread if I like what you're sayin' Cheesy
Bitcoin is threat for the banks and i think they will find a way to adapt on new centralized cryptocurrency payment or holding. Developing an system on banks to accept bitcoin is so risky because not all people have an knowledge on the cryptocurrency and we all know that the bitcoin is somehow using on the black market.

Re: Will Bitcoin reach $50k by the end of 2021?
by
Asusnumbaone
on 30/01/2021, 12:53:42 UTC
For the first time ever, Bitcoin reached a new All-time-high (ATH) of $40k per coin. Those who held Bitcoin since 2017 (or before) would've made a lot of money by now. Unfortunately, prices have stalled as Bitcoin is stuck between the $30k - $32k range. It could be the cause of whales buying the dip to pump the price at a later time. Whatever the reason for the price drop, Bitcoin is still much more valuable than what it was a couple of years ago. If the pandemic continues to take the world by storm, we may continue to witness new ATHs in price.

All of this makes me wonder, will Bitcoin will reach $50k by 2021? If it does, 2021 will prove to be Bitcoin's biggest year with astronomical returns for early investors. Right now could be the perfect buying opportunity while Bitcoin is still in the $30k range. What are your thoughts? Huh
It is somehow possible but the demands of the bitcoin is the one who have impact of it price. Many investors take a risk on the bitcoin and I think because of the price many of the investors or bitcoin holders will sell it to take advantage of it price dor noe the bitcoin havebhigh price and limited cap but I think mass selling will bring down the price of it

Re: Should I accept Bitcoin for payments on my online store?
by
Asusnumbaone
on 30/01/2021, 12:49:28 UTC
I'm considering to possibly add Bitcoin and other altcoins as a way to pay for goods purchased on my online store.

Is this a good idea? Are there any risks (other than the volatility)?

Is anyone really going to use this?

I'm afraid that my customers may not be much into cryptos, but I guess that it's hard to tell until you try ...
I also have some doubts on the technical side.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance
There is many mobile application that have transaction on the bitcoin because the demand of this cryptocurrency is high and it is good opportunity to have an e wallet on it. Maybe other business such as store would accept bitcoin as an payment instruments or medium of exchanges.
