A lending platform is a good idea. I think that the most difficult part in the implementation of the idea is who you will manage collaterals. If you do it successfully and you eliminate scammers, then Good Job!

In my opinion the whole region in Asia has great influence in crypto. Japan, China, South Korea, Singapore are some of the most influencial. To be precise i think Japan can bring a tide of change as they are already establish ATMs and the government accepts crypto.

Hello. We want to launch our own project and may be you can advise us good methods to promote it.

Ab ounty campaign would be the best method for promoting an ICO right now. An airdrop as well, you can increase awareness of your project with just a few budget that will bring up more money eventually.

Tokens that can be transfered caught my attention here. It is the best solution to "stack" your skills in an ecosystem that you are rewarded for the job you are doing. ECTA has developed this system carefully and very smart.

As ECTA promises to help countries that face inequality globally and most of them are in Africa, maybe the team should do a promotion there via universities and technology events. If it get attention from there, a huge influx of user will come and visit the platform even in early stages.

If you transact with STK tokens: just as in the above example, the user pays no fees.
In summary, we have significantly improved the architecture to the benefit of both members and for STACK. It costs about 34.8 % less in gas for a member to transact using a Multi-token payment channel than with a traditional single-token channel.

34.8% is a significant cost reduction in fees. Less fees can help increasing instant payments in the point of sale. However this post doesn't help to understand the technology that causes this reduction. Please share more info that will make understand it.

But how am I going to be sure that the tokens that I will receive would be the same amount of $ that I have discussed with the employer?

Well, probably you will not be sure. This is what describes the cryptocurrency markets and the ecosystem in general. It is also how you see things. What if you agree on 200 and then market goes up and you cash out for 500?

Bigger risks, give bigger profits.

Bitcoin mining doesn't have to be for everyone(*), only the most efficient ones will keep up.

(*) If Bitcoin mining would have been for everybody, big changes would have been needed, see Monero.

This is a centralized approach to the issue though. Why not making available to anyone instead of excluding users from it?

Re: Economy going up and up everyday
by
Atherus

I have been interested into economy, stock trading and such. And have begun watching series movies and reading more about it.

I learned what CDOs where, and how they worked. But now the institutions/banks are selling/buying bespoke tranche opportunities, basically same as CDOs just another name.

The dollar is up by a lot, and the stock market has tested the 200 MA 3 times already. Interest rates are near 0% and loan rates are going up faster and faster each year.

Every country I have friends in, are telling me that the inflation is rising, interest rates are going going down and you're basically losing money each year.
What I think is interesting, is that the loan rates were pretty low (close to 0) for 1-2 years and it started to rise.

I think with the rise of Crypto, it's the safe heaven for us, the normal people. I think communities, countries, specific groups of people will make their own currency (and also money) out of thin air, and this is how our societies will function soon. But that doesn't necessarily mean that cash will go away, I think people are attached to cash a lot and it's a different feeling when you have cash.

What do you guys think? All thots are appreciated!

There is a good environment for investors during the last year I can say. But this always leads to downturns where the interest rates are increasing

Re: A new consensus that promises high levels of security (PoH)

I'm not saying that people are not fond of federated trust. I'm just saying it's a regressive and naive approach at cryptocurrencies.

I can see many cryptocurrencies that try to be more decentralized as being centralized in the beginning so this may be a direction that it is perceived in a later stage of a centralized strategy.

It is interesting how new forum members here are advocating for authority, while all the more senior members highlight how that is kind of pointless on a blockchain.  Assuming the newbies are not just shills for PoH/GeeqCorp, this probably means that people new to the blockchain space typically need quite some time to actually understand what blockchain and decentralisation is and isn't about.

there are many different opinions about blockchain and decentralization, this is why i came to this place and learn more of that and evolve my critical thinking.

Federated trust as decribed by GeeqCorp is precisely how humanity has done monetary transactions for centuries. Merely throwing in a blockchain for good measure doesn't change anything. Getting rid of federated trust is what made Bitcoin so revolutionary. Returning to it seems rather regressive.

My opinion is that an authority on the blockchain should be present in order to avoid fraudelent and malicious actions. See what's it going on right now on the Ethereum blockchain and ERC20 tokens which is full of scams.
And also, if people are not so much in fond of federated trust, how is it possible that Ripple has so much support by users making it 3rd regarding Market Cap?

That's how public discourse works though. Otherwise they should have just worked in the shadows and presented the world with a finished product.

It can work to make things better, this is the reason why none works in the shadows. And I believe that there is a great exchanges of ideas in this thread that can lead to a positive outcome.

The mentioned consensus seems to be very interesting especially when it comes to who users have the authority in the validation process.

My concern can be to the fact that this game theory of honest and dishonest nodes can bring confusion to the chain and cause latency in the transactions.
I have my doubts as well on the implementation of the consensus, but I think we should not criticize the project as it is still in the beginning of developing and we haven't seen proof of Honesty in practice.
