My good friend is Pete McMillan and he works as a clerk for the SEC. He sent me a screenshot yesterday of his laptop. On it was the press release for next Wednesday on the Bitcoin Winklevii ETF... So the decision has already been made folks.

I thought this bit of information would silence the debate that has been raging the past few hours. Remember to only invest more than you can afford and never take the advice of anyone that is prepared to give it. Also, remember that no shoes were made for a cobbler's feet before they are first made for his children.

What was the decision on this screenshot of the press release for the ETF that your "good friend" Pete McMillan who works for the SEC sent you?

yeah right no... if he was actually speaking the truth, the stupidest thing you could ever do is to post it on a forum like this one, the second stupidest thing would be to name your contact as well... If it were true, i'm quite sure that 'good friend' Pete is looking for a new job right now.

okay so plenty of people have posted their short-term predictions... but what are we expecting for the weekend? Inclined to go with a couple of bounces but steadily sliding down to about 1000, not sure though

Yeah please don't quote that anti semitic loon, I think most of us have him on ignore already - report and move on  Kiss

On topic: moving on up? Market doesn't seem ready to break down

On Kraken the resistance at 1120 EUR seems to have been broken and we're going up... but only by a little bit. If we can stay above it for a little while, I think the trend upwards will continue.

Roach, you sir are a true idiot.

"White" is not a race, and never was.  It doesn't exist. Everyone "white" is blend of European nationalities.

Sorry to quote the village idiot. Back to /ignore

Let's not give him too much attention... ignore and hopefully he'll go annoy someone else

Just woke up and looked my price ticker say $1193. First thought was "that's not nearly as big a correction as I would've expected."

Then I looked at the charts.

Haha had exactly the same... saw the price and was like 'oh thats not too shabby' but then I opened the chart on my computer  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked daaaaaaaaaamn

1st the dump...after a bounce back not strong enough and maybe now the second wave..maybe we see 2nd bottom for today? who knows...fingers crossed!

Soooooo downward it is... lets hope we get level stable again soon. Question for the people who actually know about these things: where is the next support we're gonna hit if this keeps going?

Bitcoin is just like a balloon underwater, some try to hold in under but the longer they keep it underwater the harder it will shoot up.

Bitcoin is not exactly the first attempt at monetary reform:

I hate those Zionist Jews with there Pyramid Debt Slave Fiat Ponzi Banking System. They got so much power for so many years, even huge army's cant take them out...But now, we can by-pass them with Bitcoin without fireing one singel shot! Thats my main reason why i'm a fanatic Bitcoin supporter, financial freedom for everybody!

It's okay to talk about politics, but maybe you guys could try to keep it a bit more directly related to bitcoin?

Us Brits still won't be having a 4 digit party for a little while yet.

Ah, but it'll make it all the sweeter when it arrives. I remember someone on Localbitcoins had an ad going for ages urging people to make history by being the first to pay £1000 when everyone else was a few hundred cheaper. I think that's a reverse psychology too far.

Have to applaud the guys ability to make something shitty smell like gold

But, but, but... so many experienced and knowledgeable TA traders said price should go down. Why does it keep creeping up?

Because even though there are some highly regarded experts out there, most of them just use fancy words to hide the fact they dont have a clue either  Cheesy

A very late good morning Bitcoinland.

14 consecutive days over $1000... currently $1006USD (Bitcoinaverage) and flat as a pancake.

Tumblin' tumbleweeds. We're all waiting.

considering selling at current price (makes decent profit) and putting in a stop order to buy back in case price rises above 1015...
Sell low, buy high
It's also my motto, so far so good

^get high...sell higher!!  Grin

haha funny you'd say that... I'm from Amsterdam  Grin

Calm before the storm... Position yourself accordingly.

That phrase was thrown around a great deal in 2014/15. It was usually a good signal for another few weeks of absolute nothing. However this time around there are many more interesting factors brewing.

considering selling at current price (makes decent profit) and putting in a stop order to buy back in case price rises above 1015... I figure if it breaks through that it will keep on going for a while. Smart of dumbest idea ever? Worried about a big drop when I'm not paying attention...

Disregard... brainfart. Keeping position and putting a stop order in to keep damage controlled in case of a drop.
