Using Bitcoin vs. credit cards
by
Avity
on 25/02/2018, 03:41:01 UTC
Many credit cards have 1% to 2% cash back on all purchases plus a $100 - $300 credit to your account after a minimum purchase amount in the first couple of months.  These are great incentives for people to get and use more creditcards.  Most Americans will have several credit cards in their pockets for different reasons, business, personal, gasoline, shopping, travel etc etc.

What are the incentives for bitcoin.  When you purchase bitcoin on exchanges you get charged fees.  When you spend bitcoin on products and services you get charged a fee where as the bit credit card companies eat those costs in order to suck in more customers, community, network of users.

I believe we need such incentives in the bitcoin world in order to accumulate more community and users.  I have no immediate ideas of how this will get done but I believe it is something to look into.

What do you think? Agree? Disagree? Why?

Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold?

On many different levels bitcoin is better than gold.  There are several different news articles that point to the same things.  It is easier to trade.  It does not have borders.  It is way, way lighter haha.  I can fit as many bitcoin as I want in my pocket.. not gold.  Gold is only better for one thing, and that is the physical manufacturing of products that need raw elements such as cell phones.

Re: 10 years and no country has approved Bitcoin ??

Bitcoin is not illegal in the USA.  This means it is accepted.  Even the US government has made money selling bitcoins... how does this mean it is not accepted???  Please clarify yourself because your first statement seems to be very wrong indeed.

Second.  Warren buffet is invested in traditional investments that have made him who he is today.  If bitcoin raises this would hurt his investments by pulling money out of traditional fiat investment into crypto.  Of course he would not support it at this time because he is entrenched in the old generation that made loads of money and wants that to continue so that they don't have to learn something new.

Secretly though I doubt Warren Buffet is that ignorant to skip out on an invest that has yielded more gains than any other investment throughout recorded history.  I bet his is investing just like JP Morgan, the US Government and all the others.

Don't believe the news.  Believe common sense, and invest in Bitcoin.

Bitcoin will always be a good investment until it reaches 1 Million dollars per coin... then it has probably reached its maximum market capitalization.  However Ethereum is also a good investment.  Either one will be seeing gains in the future.  This is just the start ladies and gentlemen.

You have only lost money if you got into crypto in the last month and a half.  Otherwise the market is still very, very high up.  If you invested in the beginning of 2017, your probably a millionaire by now.  Think about what we are going to say in another year or two.  Don't miss opportunities because you experience fear.  Use fear to drive more opportunities.

Yes, I am agreeing with what you say.  However ultimately, most people will invest into crypto right now to make fast and big gains.  This is not a bad thing unless they pull out all of their gain out of crypto... people should be rewarded for investing into something that is beneficially to the masses.  Plus if they have more gains more people will end up joining the the technology itself will grow faster because it has more backers, more of a community behind it.

This thread is for new Bounty Campaigns!

I struggle finding them so let's help each other out.

Share with us where the new or even fairly new bounty campaigns are for altcoins

I hate starting a bounty campaign with little time left to earn tokens enough to my liking

Please share where the newest and best bounty campaigns are!  😉👌

AMON has a nice bounty campaign right now.  As you see below with my avatar I am supporting them.  When they succeed in making connections with some big companies for their debit card it will moon for sure.

Yes I agree with you.  The news of China and Korea and other regulation worldwide hit crypto hard recently... however I do believe it will raise again, and has already rose a little since a few days ago.  Its very hard to predict, but in general this is the future, it will all rise and concur the current fiat systems.

There are tons of good investments of altcoins right now.  It depends what you truly believe in and want to support with your own energy and time.  Personally I have invested in Ethereum, Ripple, Z-Cash, BLUE, Verge, HTML and many more.  All of these I see as having a future in the world I want to live in and believe they have solid teams that will continue doing a good job.

Re: ICO is new way to get Free money?
by
Avity
on 09/02/2018, 19:03:36 UTC
I do not know why! I only think that Ico project is a more modern Ponzi method right now.  Huh
How about you, YES OR NOR ?   Huh

Yes and no.

For those shitty people who want to scam/steal/swindle people out of their hard earned money it is definitely a form of a Ponzi method.

However, that is not the core or true purpose of an ICO.  An ICO from my view is a method to form a community of people in support of something they truly want to see happen in the world.  It is kind of like kickstarter.  Someone has a great idea and can now finance it without having to deal with government and big bank policy.  Individuals from around the world can come together to bring something into the world that is truly worth being here and helps our lives and hopefully the nature world as well.  The money side of it is the just the fuel for the engine that drives that cause to its reality.

This is why you should only join an ICO after you know who (Humans) is running the project, and if you agree with the project and want to see that, use that in your life.  Will this ICO make life, business, the world better?

Thoughts on Amon?

I'm interested to hear what people's thoughts are on Amon debit card as a form of payment.  Also what your thoughts are on the team.  Their presentation looks good and the idea that we could pay for anything instantly with whichever crypto we want to use at that time is very enticing.  Thank you for your thoughts.

Amon has a nice airdrop going through Reddit.  Its definitely worth a look.  They are working on a debit card that you can use any crypto currency to pay an establishment that instantly converts it into fiat for the retailer or service.  How cool would that be?  They just started as well so its a great time to be apart of the project from the beginning.

I would love to have a debit card that is able to pay with any crypto at any location which instantly converts it into fiat for the retailer.  Please make this happen team Amon : )

Is there a spreadsheet for those of us on the Signature Campaign?

Thank you! Excited to be apart of this project : )

I have two questions Huh??

1) There is already a token with STH symbol on Etherdelta that is not this token.  What is the solution to this?

2) What is the anonymous payment system you speak of?  What kind of code or system will make this happen?

I believe, but I just want to believe more.

Thank you

Re: How will governments survive
by
Avity
on 29/11/2017, 01:35:52 UTC
Something that has been unclear to me is how will governments survive when fiat is nowhere to be seen and all or most monetary transactions happen via cryptocurrencies.

Since one of the most attractive aspects of crypto is that its anonymous and decentralized, how will governments be able to keep track of money and tax it.

Governments will create their own just like  how Russia just did and probably tax every transaction just like how they do with fiat currencies.  They can also try to take the exchanges been fiat and some other cryptocurrencies.  They will find a way or if they can't they will try to make it illegal.  One way or another they will try to get their taxes.
