I also managed to get a p2pool node running. Don't let Monacoin mining end up centralised on two or three big pools. (coz of 51% attack and stuff).

another thing, does anyone know why shapeshift stopped exchanging monacoin?

agree with OP! Don't let Monacoin mining end up centralised on two or three big pools.

It was similar to setup as a VTC P2pool node. I managed on my own.

I think a P2pool node list for Monacoin would be nice next.
