Of course we need altcoins to make cryptocurrency be more competitive on developing progress. You know, any revolution will start from bubble by innovative one. 
Actually, in the market there are too many altcoins which look like the same, but some of them are really good and visionary.

It's all up to you, your judgement matters as to when to sell the coins that you have invested in. If you trust a coin, you should know when to sell, hold and buy back. Usually, same shit happens, altcoin price is just like a cycle, pump and dump.

The problem of some people in the crypto community is that they do not have proper knowledge in how the market goes that is why they are being triggered by the negativity and the price dips that came in this industry in the last few months. Specially the people that just joined that community on the last quarter of 2017 because of the hype. People should need to learn how the market really works and why the prices of cryptocurrencies need to drop. To be positive we need to be more knowledgeable and how to respond to volatility of the crypto market.

This amount of bitcoin is big 12 bitcoin, you know we will never know what happen next. Because in investment all are risks, if I were in this situation I will cashout half the amount. Also, some of your btc you may invest in other altcoin that you can gain profit.

Buying now altcoin not for me because until now the price of coins in the market are still unstable. So i prefer btc and ether because they are always on top. Or just make investment in new ICOs to come, that will be a better idea.
