yet I'm here trusting in Chris and LTCGear. I don't see it as a scam. I don't see Chris at the hype-spinner that Josh obviously is. Chris has never taken a shot (that I've seen) at another mining company like Josh has... it just all seems genuine. He's a complete idiot when it comes to communication and running a company and web site. But that doesn't mean he isn't for real and has a genuine miner that is profitable. Here's to hoping Monday gives light to the truth.

Let's say you are right with your thoughts. I think Chris himself should have realized at any point what you said. Why not simply hiring 1 or 2 people only for doing communication and better support? I wrote several mails before the trouble started, wanted him to explain 2 questions before investing a bigger amount of money. And of course, no reply at all. Is it only as he already made a ton of money and doesn't care if more people buy his stuff as his fans will continue to make him enough money? Would you, next to holy chris, trust and invest a lot of money to someone else who is "an idiot in running a company" just because you made some profit in the past? Isn't knowledge in running a company a requirement for being successful long-term? Many companies failed long-term although they had a great start but lacked some skills to confirm the early success and made wrong decisions.

This is no FUD, just some questions to think about.
Your point is certainly valid. Hindsight is 20-20. I do think Chris has a solid product though. Would I invest if I was coming across them NOW though having never invested before? Certainly not. Hopefully we get back to steady payouts with the new deposit system though and all of these speculations and anxiety for the last 2-3 weeks will be a moot point. The point is I *DID* invest... so I really can only hope. I have no other choice.

I got 2 payments, if I am able to get just the payments that would be nice. Also wanna try that new x11/x13 ASIC. Hope it returns back. By the way up to now this guy paid clockwise, and probably will pay again. I am not worrying right now, why should I

the reason to worry is because all the crypto ponzi schemes work this same way.

everyting paid at first like clockwork. that turns the initial 'victims' into salesman for the scheme. they go out and create lots of proof (screenshots etc) and tell everyone about the amazing deal they get.

a bunch of money comes in. then the scammer can run until he either hits his target for  the scam or when he feels like the gig is up. at that point he starts having 'hacks' and the like in order to stall.

after some more time when he realizes that he wont be getting many more deposits, he will run.

many of these schemers enjoy tormenting their victims too which could keep them promising to fix things.

Indeed, it's the same story except with Chris we have more evidence of someone with some genuine mining know-how. But yes, being paid in the past means nothing. I have more faith than normal in ltcgear than other such sites but people should plan not for the best but the worst (i.e. do not depend on this payment for loans etc.).
LOLWUT? You actually do have evidence? At this point I haven't find any except of  lots believers' posts which make me think this is some kind of sect Grin

Strange, I have the same positive feeling around LTCgear. Perhaps it's the electronic engineer in me? Or perhaps it's the total lack of glaring advertising all over the web giving a less sceptical feel. Don't know.

Suppose it may just be spending to much time listening to GAWs' army of whiners that has me wanting Chris to succeed.

Now doctor, do you wan't me to lie down on the couch?

I'm right there with you. UNIX Administrator myself (started with SunOS, BSD, and HP-UX... now doing mostly Linux). Also doing some Dev (C/C++, Perl, PHP, etc).

Started in mining on some VPS servers for fun. Wanted to invest a bit and get a bit more serious... looked into buying miners (because I have free electricity at my business incubator) and came across GAW and cloud mining. Bought some 'haslets' and read hype after hype with disappointment after disappointment on their forums. The Hashtalk forum is mind-boggling to read. Especially after my 100 PayCoins that were promised to be worth $20 each are now worth roughly $3 each. Yet the GAW-army is still strong and all trusting. I look at them shaking my head at how dumb and clueless they are... yet I'm here trusting in Chris and LTCGear. 2fa not working, https not working, but my original BTC and LTC addresses reappeared on their own. So, things are moving in the right direction. Let's all hope for a solid multiplication and payouts tomorrow Smiley.

Did you login? Is it safe?
Its as 'safe' as clear text communication CAN be.

He will most likely get SSL (https) up and working again, but it isn't an automatic process. He will need to re-issue a new SSL cert for the new server. Depending on his cert type, etc. etc. it could take a day or two or more.

With that said... if you aren't many hops away from their server (traceroute to the server to find out) and your network is secure (local network) then you would most likely be safe. Yes you're always open to the possibility of a MITMA, but unless someone is specifically targeting you, or you are in an unsecured area with many 'hops' across internet land to his VPS server, then you'll likely be fine. If likely isn't good enough or you want to error on the side of caution, then I'd just say to wait until SSL is re-established. I would also NOT use TOR if you have in the past, however a VPN should be fine.

The LTC price is no matter in our case...
How do you figure? Considering BTC's price is directly related to LTC's price. Especially in concern to USD valuation.

Hey there!

Does anyone know how to know if I'm part of this?:

"Payments will be batched and executed around 11:00 UTC. Payments for accounts missing address validation will be postponed."

How do I know if I'm missing the address validation or not?

I was getting my payments correctly for about a month... never changed anything, using always the same btc address...

Was I supposed to do something?

Of course by now no payment for this week...
You're kidding right? Go back and read the last few pages of this thread.

Payment received though its somewhat down on https://ltcgearcalc.com/ estimates.

BTC exchange rates have fluctuated and VTC rates aren't accurate (as the note on the site says).

Personally my payout was within 10% of what LTCGearCalc says... which I think is very accurate considering.

ok. eugene and syclone scammed me. i lost 30 btc. im gonna go troll forums and put it in my sig and email the president of the US.. such theifs these guys are

You're a funny guy. I've just been quietly watching from the sidelines... I don't know you or sysclone from Adam.

Yes sysclone seems a bit annoying, yes hes an idiot for not confirming his username before having you send shares, and yes maybe he didn't handle everything the best way (calling work, etc).

But he's posted screenshots (being as transparent as possible), helped facilitate with Chris the reversal of the shares to you so you could send to the CORRECT username, and has answered any question presented to him.

The last FACT we have is that the shares were reversed to you. You SAY you sent him the shares (not distinguishing, by the way, if you mean the first incorrect share transfer, or the 2nd corrected share transfer). You wont post screenshots, wont answer questions, wont return money OR confirm shares were sent. You are completely dismissive and arrogant. You seem... frankly... like a shoddy used car salesman (the image you portray fits reality, no?). Again, I don't know either of you but I'd never trust you with my shares or BTC, I'd never buy anything from you and I'd be sure to alert anyone else that may become scammed by you (you owe me nothing, but you owe any potential customer complete transparency, and you've in almost exact words told your customer, syclone, that you have no intention of being transparent). Its sad that another user on the forum had to fix your problem by giving up their OWN shares to syclone.

If one thing is clear from all this drama... it's that you weren't the one scammed or taken advantage of.

Waiting a group confirm for something like +45 minutes now. Unless the group transfer gets one confirm the global payout cant move on..
Luckily I have to update news before I get deep into BF/CM recheck orders where someone with tons of creativity created some thousand of orders to be sorted..

Looks like we'll be waiting for awhile.

Having control over your hosted hashing power is worth the money. Iv used LTCgear and wasn't happy with it at all. Honestly though don't post on a page if you don't have anything positive to say. Keep your insults to your

self this is a business. Buying shares through us gives you complete control over your MH/s. If anyone lives locally and would like to see the space, we will be allowing clients to view the space on October 15th. Appointments

must be made at least 24 hours in advance. I will post pictures as soon the last bit of construction is done on our room. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me at any time. I check my page several times a day.

 Thank you for reading!!!

Totally agree that having control over the hashing power should cost more. Although I'm happy with LTCGear and the ROI I've already received... but I could see how its not for everyone (cannot pick pools, cannot get daily payouts, etc).

But how do you compare your service to say GAW Miner's Hashlets? I'm a prospective customer (of yours, or any new cloud hashing provider) and really interested in hearing your response. I'm a big supporter of cloud hashing and really support more competition in this space. If you can sell me on why I should pay almost double what GAW's pricing is... then I'll be happy to make an investment with your company. Otherwise I'll be continuing to put my investments into Genesis Mining, GAW, and LTCGear.

Re: Genesis-Mining Review

I'm committed to trying Genesis-Mining... but not more than $150 on my first go... and not paying $10 for a wire transfer since I'm only committing less than $150 to try out a new vendor I don't know much about.

I don't mind jumping through hoops to pay (only accepting DOGE, or PayPal, or Coinbase, or CC, etc) but I'm not going to eat a $10 bank fee... From the looks of this thread... others aren't willing to either.

I highly suggest you relay that to Marco. It looks like you already have (and hes already trying to rectify the situation) but the reality is he could even accept BTC in less than 5 min. There really is no excuse.
