Offering 5 BTC for someone to install and configure either NOMP or MPOS pool (with documented steps on how you did it). Offering 10 BTC if you can do both. This is an urgent project. Escrow can be used.

Re: Blockchain.info banned my Ip?

Something is definitely wrong with Blockchain.info and cloudflare Sad Got the same blocked IP error 1006. All I did was open 3 wallets within maybe 20 minutes. Contacted Cloudflare but they replied that I should contact the site owner because only they can discuss this issue with Cloudflare. So in these cases contacting Cloudflare is useless.

Now that I see I am not the only one and that this is a recent issues in the last few days, I think that their configuration is a tad bit too strict. I opened like 30-40 pages in 30 minutes at best and I got banned Sad

* I am using a normal cable IP, not shared nor random (unless the router resets which is rare).

[WTB] SHA256 Mining power
by
BCata
on 05/10/2014, 22:19:31 UTC
As the title mentions, I am in need of mining power. Right now we need about 50 THs. This will soon be increased to 100 THs. The terms are simple: We will lease mining hardware and pay 5-10% premium. We select the pool (one of the big ones), give a unique BTC address and pay 105-110% of the amount mined by you (we do not count pool fees! If a pool has a fee of 2%, we absorb it and do not count it towards your earnings. So in such cases you would make 107-112%). So you make 10% extra from your gear.

Before all the scam accusations or suggestions to "just buy BTC instead", here is some background info. We run a private "cloud mining" program for a few select customers. Unlike most cloud mining operations, we actually do the mining Smiley But we have a delay between when the orders come in and when the gear arrives and starts working (which can be several weeks of even 1-2 months, depending on the scale of the order). So we need to rent some power to cover these gap periods. This is a long term deal as we are in constant demand of power.

We would like to have people with powerful gear, preferably 1TH+, but accept smaller miners too. Payment can be done daily for big miners or weekly for smaller ones. Your miner uptime is CRITICAL! Nothing under 90% uptime will be accepted.

WTH - C,C++ developer
by

on 01/10/2014, 06:05:26 UTC
I am in need of a senior C/C++ developer with experience in crypto-currencies. The project involves creating something like a mining-proxy similar to what leaserig or nicehash has. I have a good budget that will be split into stages of the project (total budget: xxx BTC; budget for this part: xx BTC). More details on PM.

47kOhm Vmod3 - wall side results

1200 Mhz # 510 kH # 22.5 W
1100 Mhz # 467 kH # 21.5 W
1000 Mhz # 425 kH # 20.3 W
950 MHz # 404 kH # 19.6 W
850 Mhz # 360 kH # 18.4 W
600 Mhz # 250 kH # 16 W
Idle # 0 kH # 12.5 W

stock:
1200 - 13
1100 - 12.5
1000 - 11.9
950 - 11.5
850 - 10.9
600 - 9.5
Idle - 7.4

so no, the high power usage stays even with low clocks

I am currently running 22 voltmodded of a Windows 7 AMD E350 system. The PSU is a 750W Corsaid Gold efficiency. At the wall I get 435W usage. I measured the windows system and it pulls 30W. So that makes it 405W at the wall for:
- 22 GS units runing at 1175Mhz+
- 3 powered USB hubs
- 22 low power 80mm fans (I replaced the stock fans with quiet ones... they draw about 0.75W a piece).
- 3 low power 140mm fans (about 1.25W a piece)
- 2 low power 120mm fans (around 1W a piece)

If we discount the Fans, it averages to about 17.5W pe GS unit, all running at 1175Mhz+.

No good ideas, but having the same issue.  In trying 800 MHz and 900MHz each separately for about 24 hours, I received even lower hash rates on CM.

I'm running 20 Gridseeds, RaPi, and CGMiner 3.7.2 showing ~7.2Mh/s on miner, but only showing up ~5.0Mh/s on CM.  That puts each GS averaging about 250 Kh/s on CM, but showing 360 Kh/s on CGMiner.  My GS have fairly equal accepted work, are mining pretty efficiently at 850 MHz, with minimal (0-3) HW errors per unit per 24 hours.  Reject rate is just over 1%.

I'd too would like comments back if others are experiencing lower hash rates on CM and any tweeks or adjustments to increase real, recognized hash rates on CM.  Hey - not complaining though - with the recent ~200% returns, it was like getting real 500 KH/s from each GS!

Thanks for a great pool and the professional efforts/information from everyone!

I have the same issue, but it is only a recent issue (it was not present last week). I tried several other sites and the problem only appears on CM. CGminer show 10.8 MH/s, on WP I get around 10.5 average, on other pools well over 10. On CM I get a bit over 8 on average. So about 85% of my hash rate. Rejects are really low, 1-1.5%.

Just a small note to all of you modding your units. I had 6 of mine not working and it seems they were not working because the screws were too tight and some solders snapped off. So be VERY careful when you put your pods back together! Right now, from 30 modded units it seems I only ended up with 1 paperweight (seems like one pod is too damaged Sad ) with the other 5 being recovered, which is good enough for me Smiley

I had noticed this as well with mine.  I had thought it was just mine, but apparently not.  I noticed these are VERY temperamental with regard to how tightly they are put back together.  Mine also seems picky on how even the tightness is.  The tighter the heatsink was clamped, it seemed the more hw errors I would get and it was more unstable.

Have you tried re-doing the solder connections to see if that helps the one pod?

I don't have the units yet since I paid someone to mod them. But I will look at the damaged one to see how it looks when it arrives. So far I never opened a unit, all that I said is taken from the person doing the mods for me. However I will look around at the broken one to see if I can spot anything.

[WTH] Sys admin for pool tutorial
by
BCata
on 13/04/2014, 18:56:51 UTC
Want to hire a system administrator (Linux) to write a step-by-step tutorial on how to setup a private pool proxy. What I want/need is this: I have a bunch of miners and it is harder to switch them between pools. So I want to have a proxy where I can point all my miners to and then only switch that proxy to the pool I want to mine in (notice I need to point the proxy to a pool and not mine coins directly!).

Option A: A simple switch that will point the entire hashing power to the desired pool.

Option B (highly preferred): a system where I can decide to split the hashing power to multiple pools at the same time (like a multipool, but not mining coins directly).

I can pay via PayPal (preferred method) or BTC (delayed method since I am still currently waiting for all the verification to go through in order to purchase bitcoin). No upfront payments, but I can use escrow.

Any significant chance of bricking devices with this mod? I sent 30 units to be moded and 6 of them came back "dead" Sad That is 20%! Basically they appear to be hashing in cgminer but no shares are submitted at all. All 6 units were working fine at 850 Mhz before the mod. If anybody experienced something like this before, please let me know what you did to solve it.
Yes, I had the same problem. Turns out i didn't have enough power to the units. When modded they suck more juice! Take 10 of them and move them to another power supply, I bet they start working then.

It is not a power issue. I am using an ATX PSU with 4 units per PCI-e line. Also tried them individually with a dedicated 6A 12V power supply. I am also thinking it must be either the soldering or maybe bad SMDs or something. One unit is showing short-circuit signs with "spark" noise and the ref light flashing really fast. My question is, even if it is bad soldering, are there any changes of getting them to work by redoing the mod? Or are they completely dead now?

One thing I did notice, the damaged units only eat about half watts as the good ones (8-9 watts at the wall while the moded ones are a bit over 15 watts)

[WTB] 20* GridSeed 5-chip golden ASICs
by

on 17/03/2014, 19:17:13 UTC
I need to buy 20 ASICs asap to create a proof-of-concept to an investor. If it goes well, next order will be in the low-mid hundreds (2-400). Prefer to pay via bank wire (USD or EUR) and interested mainly in offers from EU so I do not have to deal with Customs. Shipping will be to Germany. Do not need any accessories, just the ASICs.
