Re: what you say about Bitcoin prices will be able to get over $20,000 in 2021?
by
BLU

Right, we shouldn't just trust speculations and predictions based on someone's computer models, life makes some corrections pretty often.

Yes, it's very possible and even now the price is not far from it. $20k is a strong psychological level and many sellers become active on ATH, everybody understands that but I believe there will be some new catalyst that move BTC price way beyond $20k resistance in 2021. We just need some patience.
Patience is required and a psychological level will be in play before bitcoin hits a price of over $ 20k. 2021 is a new year and the year Bitcoin reaches its highest price previously reached at the end of 2017.
But before the new ATH is reached, shocks will still occur and the role of psychology is needed and the resilience of reserve funds must really be prepared. Don't overly trust bitcoin predictions which say that Bitcoin will reach a price of $ 100k or $ 300k, because that is only speculation and cannot be trusted and every prediction model used is a Hedge Fund so that the model cannot be used as a reference.

Yeah, I was think about it too, 5-6X is a very nice profit to grab if you bought it at 3 or 4k, I wouldn't sell all but partially definitely yes

a lot depends on original coin prices.

Ie if it was purchased at 3 or 4k it is really tempting to take profit soon.

1% of Bitcoin dormant supply moved from long-term storage in November

It looks like we may see some big movements since 185 600 bitcoins ($3.6B) were transfered on blockchain from the addresses that hadn't been touched for 12 months. In my opinion it's a positive sign because there are a lot of positive news for Bitcoin with many big wallets entering the market, it could be them too who moved bitcoins from long-term storage.

Re: Bitcoin "global asset" prediction from Black Rock
by

Yes, this is a big step when giants like Microstrategy, PayPal, VISA started to eter crypto territory, as far as hedge funds and banks I suspect they've been accumulating bitcoin for quite long time but kept it silent.

I believe the next wave of the bull run is about to erupt as CEO of the biggest asset management firm BlackRock Larry Fink said bitcoin can evolve into global asset. There are more big guys from Wall street getting involved in bitcoin too. We won't possibly see any serious corrective retracement anymore.

This is great, successful startups / companies that were initially unsure about bitcoin have changed their minds. I believe that in the future there will be many large companies investing in Bitcoin. Just look at Michael Saylor, he is the CEO of Microstrategy, a public company that is already on the Nasdaq stock exchange. The news that I read that they have also bought 55,226 BTC bitcoin or USD600 million, the purchase was facilitated by Coinbase. The CEO of Microstrategy believes that storing Bitcoin will be more profitable in the coming year than storing fiat money.

Yes, it is a global asset but bankers and many other investment funds managers are hypocrites, they probably started to enter crypto market long time ago but just now started to talk about it.

Isn't it already a global asset? Bitcoin was always a global asset but these big guys have now started to enter into this market. Hopefully, this bull run will not be similar to 2017. If the big pocket investors invest in bitcoin, the current price level will find some support at 19000 USD.

I know a lot of people are still very cautious about entering into bitcoin right at this moment because of their past experience. Hopefully, this time it will be different!

Re: Another big step to adoption bitcoin from VISA!
by
BLU
on 03/12/2020, 11:09:15 UTC
This is just first steps, as the adoption contues and competition rises they will reduce annual fees and provide more options. We are still in the very beginning..

"The card, which carries a $200 annual fee, will be issued by Evolve Bank & Trust."

I don't think that a card with such a high annual fee will be in demand. Maybe only in the USA or in some other countries of the first world people will perceive positively this credit card. Therefore, you should not expect a strong impact on the price of bitcoin.

Re: Holding or Scalping ? what do you chose
by

I've been trading Bitcoin for few years already so scalping works the best for me. I trade with high leverage to get fast profit for a short time, but you really must have knowledge and experience. I'd recommend holding for newbies, it's less risky.

Yeah, it looks like we may see a domino effect from payment processing companies and possibly banks too if they see it's workable with VISA

What I want to know is what exactly pushed such big company to accept this technology. We know in this industry how beneficial cryptos are as a mode of payment but things are different in the eyes of the masses wherein the impression is not that good towards cryptocurrencies. IMO what PayPal did, contributed to what Visa is about to make. As I've mentioned before, a domino effect could be triggered once a huge company makes a move and that seems to happen.

Hi, Grayscale is good reliable investment company, but it may be suitable for accredited investors only.

Hi Guys,

Has anyone come across good reliable investment broker for Bitcoin? This seems to be method of highest returns but very risky at same time. However the risk could be reduced with reliable broker. So any feedback??

thanks

If you had a skill to hack $2.3B you'd definitely found the way how to launder it. So many ways to do it: deep net, mixers, scam exchanges, OTC private deals, multiple wallets etc. I think they will be ok if don't make some stupid mistake which is possible too.

How on Earth does one even begin to launder $2.3 billion. They will have to have like 100 corrupt politicians in their back pocket. Really, you need government cooperation to launder that kind of money. And they probably can never travel outside the country where they cash out.

They don't ask for the address at Payoneer?

If you specifically want it for receiving payments, you won't need that. Just open an account on Payoneer and apply for US bank and you will be provided one with your name. Similarly, you can get European, Japanese, Canadian bank accounts as well.

Thanks man for useful reminder about Credit Unions ! yes all other my KYC stuff is fine

I moved to a different country but need a US bank account now for business, I guess the only option if I use relatives' or friends address.

For some business purpose but I don't have an address

I think most banks are asking for your ID and it should include your home address.

Why do you want that? Banks are known to be asking for information like this for their depositors.
If it's really needed, rent somewhere and ask your landlord that it's needed for your application in a bank account.

I'm confused, where are you staying right now? why don't you use that address where you're staying?

If I were you I'd call them and ask. Just start calling different banks and don't forget about Credit Unions either.
I'm sure someone will let you open an account if all you're missing is a current address. As long as you have all the other KYC stuff.
