I think it's an awesome project that the humankind needs, even if it just to increase interest in space travel and the colonization of Mars.

Re: Consequences of high minimum wages: Automated ordering kiosks

It boggles my mind that some people don't see this coming. The only reason this technology wasn't being developped earlier was because it was more profitable to just employ people. If you push the minimum wage up, you're just accelerating automation. Ironically it leads to fever jobs, but the people who do have jobs will be paid higher at the low end anyway. (This is in the short term, in the long term, automation may actually create more jobs, but the price of that is heavy)
I mean come on, if someone is not producing over say $7 of value per hour, and you're suddenly forced to pay them $15, that just doesn't seem like a very sustainable business model, does it now?

I agree that it isn't a big deal yet if Amazon doesn't accept bitcoin, but for different reasons than the OP

Contrary to popular belief, risk is good. It means opportunity. Just ask the early adopters.

^A couple of crashes hardly mean that they're dropping like apples. Just check the statistics on daily fatal car crashes.
"About 115 people die every day in vehicle crashes in the United States -- one death every 13 minutes."

I don't think many scammers are smart enough to make that much money daily to be honest. It's the business owners and speculators that can reach these sums more consistently.
