merchant adoption is heating up with PayPal!

I'm wondering everyone's thoughts on how long increased merchant adoption will cause the bitcoin price to fall.

Here's a very well-written article explaining how during 2014, merchant adoption in bitcoin was a major reason the price has been falling all year.

But how long will this effect last? The article concludes by explaining how over time, increased merchant adoption will eventually lead to more people getting introduced to bitcoin and will outweigh the negative effects.

Considering there's only 1.5m coins from the 15 day PoW, and block reward starting low with halving twice, I think the price was completely fair. Especially with the tip-bot and and marketplace they're developing.

I can see this coin going much higher.

Even though UniversityCoin did crash and burn in their first attempt, people really need to cut them some slack.

We all know the reason there was so much interest in the coin is because they have a solid long-term strategy.

So what if they need to re-launch after 24 hours so they can fix their code? As they even admitted in the thread, it was their first launch, something was bound to go wrong. They pushed the source WAY too early, I don't deny that either, but who cares really... they learned their lesson and took the shit for it that they deserved.

If they follow through with their long-term plans, UVC will be huge.

Only time will tell though, it'll be interesting to see the re-launch.
