Re: Keeping your butts safe

I have my private keys stamped into metal that won't melt if the house burned down.

AND I have paper copies in another location, split up so you need both parts to complete the key.

I'm HODLing long term, so I wanted to be safe.

The metal is a great idea! What kind of metal, and how deep are the stamps?

If you were given 1 dollar for every second since the day you were born, you would be a millionaire by 10days old.

At this same rate, you wouldn't become a billionaire until you are 31 yrs old….

Re: BREAKING: PAYPAL PARTNERS WITH BITPAY ET AL
by

This has been in the tubes for a few weeks now, largely rumors and vague announcement from paypal brain tree, apple pay, bank of england, other central banks. I am surprised, exactly as other saids, only idiot buy after the news. But the rumor sell the news is this phrase and this could be the truth for this.

The contrary, whales are smartly lined up and things are currently orderly in the market, run the price up, wait for supply of bitcoin to enter the market for sale, as the sell and create liquidity, whales can buy with with little price movement, however  eventually the supply runs outs, the price rallys and if things remain orderly they wait until more supply comes onto the exchange. Eventually less and less supply will hit the markets and the whales will need to ask themselves are they willing to dump millions into a $10,000 bitcoin or or just stop buying more than a few at $600

My bet, things get overheated for the short run and we see a MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR rally that make all bubbles in the history of man look small.

Do i spend my last $200 cash on bitcoin right now an run the risk of being a hog and getting slaughtered.

Here is a good quote from Satoshi:

Right.  Otherwise we couldn't have a finite limit of 21 million coins, because there would always need to be some minimum reward for generating.  In a few decades when the reward gets too small, the transaction fee will become the main compensation for nodes.  I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.

Give bitcoin 5 years.  Either they will be worth the Moon or 0.  It is a binary investment. All or nothing.

99/1

on that

there is a small and weird scifi of bitcoin and massive fiat numbers working together, again  but then it is back to nature

Now you can just focus on finding a job at a place that is friendlier toward Bitcoin or maybe your own business that accepts Bitcoin as a payment option.

and earn 0.019/hr

Might actually be a fair trade.. but time will tell

Yes I think next years will be determinant for bitcoin future
I hope they are as good as previous years
trust in bitcoin keeps increasing day per day

I for now disagree. Blockchain technology is far more important than bitcoin and it price…

Used it, i secure it but I know at night while i sleep there ways possibly for people to gain access to my keys

most people will sell at 1k or 2k so they will never see the price in 5 years  Cheesy

Speaking in real terms. People did sell at 1200. Since then, its been down hill. Not sure what you are getting at.

Regardless of position they will be able see the price in 5 years regardless if they have a position.

Re: The $100->$1200 BTC bubble!

BTCewdquestion

alright then think about those who bought it around 1000$ mark thinking that the price is gonna reach 10000$ mark and suddenly found themselves below 500$ mark Tongue Tongue

If they think that the exchange rate is going to go to $10,000 and they were happy to buy one bitcoin for $1000 then they should be even happier to be able to buy two bitcoins for $1000.  Instead of turning $1000 into $10,000, they can now turn $2000 into $30,000.  Smiley

Who made money during the $100 --> $1200 BTC spike, it was too easy which makes me think exchanges robbed people that listened and invested at $100 to get a return of at the least over $500. I was a victim of this selective scamming by BTC-E. How many people do you think made millions in profits off the BTC bubble?
Why focus on the past and looking for whom made money instead of focusing on the future and investment strategies to make profit?

It won't be us drone missile, but a mob hit man, his days are numbered, start  counting, i bet he's dead by the end of 2015.. Hey Bitassassination anyone… Cant stop it… lol

Re: 0.2 FEE!!!! ? am i missing something?
by

I've sort of let it go for now, once i get another few minutes to follow up on this mistake of mine I will, but like others said, i could earn it back faster than tracking it down. realistically i have enough time to earn it back and track it down MotherF*krs!!! Sry its late..

This thread is fascinating, I am shocked at the response it has received.

I have contacted ghash, they responded with a "we dont know, sorry, wish we could help you further but we cant good luck"

as for bitfury, still no response.

As for others I have yet to contact.

And can someone elaborate a bit more on how I send a small tx with a message to the miner who mined that block... My understanding of bitcoin says that is nearly impossible but I am no expert..

I will say this, it would be cool as heck if i got it back, but I have lost and made hundreds of thousands of dollars in my life, so this is just one more little lesson a long the way.

Thank you guys for such an overwhelming response...

Now if any of you would like to help a lost cause.... 19E8Jx1adTUbonp3Y3RAGXgkDjkiW32Cif   Wink Wink Wink Wink

back to searching for the miner, no reply from bit fury. Ghash got back to me ASAP and said it wasn't their block..:

I would personally post a thread on the forums. As the only information is the address the reward was sent to, you must locate the owner of that address. This will be difficult.

without getting into a pissing match… on a computer……. some of you are assholes. and just because I am calling you an asshole does not make me one.

The rest of you, thank you for your support and words of wisdom. I do have to say after my initial bitcoin moment of learning and realizing what it is, i can not say i am very fond of it. Over time it will play out, I'm not a fan of bitcoin, but this whole federal reserve back banking institution dollar thing i dislike more… The ugly truth; there is no holy grail.

Can you guys please help me locate who mined that block. I fucked up… probably… I definitely learned a lesson here. Its by far one of the cheapest lessons i have learned in my life. try losing a half million $. I am still trying to withdraw about .5 btc from BTC-e but can't get a response from anyone there, again any assistance would be nice in helping to contact these people.

If I am able to get this btc back, bitcoin being in Beta, this would be pretty cool to see how effective of a financial system Bitcoin may perhaps become one day.

This page is filled with people posting without reading the fucking thread first.  Yes, he sent an email to the miner. Yes, he got a response.  Now read the thread before posting the same shit over and over.

EDIT… Yes i sent the email to the miner. NO i have not received a response of any kind. This was last night before bed. And still nothing.

And FYI the word TROLL is getting very old, if you do not like people posting on forums then go play in the dirt… SOB's

And thank you for those who 'get it'

and how do i track down miner and get them to communicate back to me?

Have you contacted coinkite with a signed message as prove that you sent the transaction? That is pretty much all you can do at that point.

who is or are coinkite and who is bitfury?

heres a reply from Blockchain, PROPS to them for speediness… But the response was more or less expected and on par.

Hello, *********. I'm sorry to hear of this trouble, but the bitcoin network is designed to make chargebacks impossible. Blockchain.info never has access or control of your bitcoins in any way, which means you have 100% complete control over your own bitcoins. This means we have no power to reverse a transaction, or transaction fee, for you.
