Hey! It's great to see a team member here. I've been doing my best to provide information and answer questions for the community. I prefer Bitcointalk to Telegram so it would be great if you could provide project updates here as well  Grin

Thanks Zebra, you've done a great job. You should see way more updates from now on. Stay tuned!

Great! Looking forward to it Grin

If I could just make one suggestion, you may want to consider adding some graphics to the original post in this thread. On Bitcointalk, a lack of visuals/graphics usually leads people to believe that there wasn't as much effort put into it.

That couldn't be further from the truth for an amazing project like Pigzbe, so I just don't want the community here to get the wrong impression.

I agree, we need to do everything to attract people to the project, because when they see the vision any crypto enthusiast will love the project and its aims.

I'm a massive advocate of crypto education, and what better way to educate than Pigzbe- connecting the real world with the crypto space through an inclusive solution. Brilliant, cant wait to see the project come to fruition  Cool

Hey guys, why do you think people don’t believe in crypto? The potential of crypto is great. Moreover crypto is the currency of the future! Do you agree?

There are many, many, reasons why a layman might not be interested in or will dismiss crypto inherently.

Most of the time this is due to a lack of education on the amazing possibilities that blockchain can provide the world. Mainly, though, it's because most people are merely followers of mainstream media, which often takes a negative view of our space as it is inherently a threat in many ways.

What's important is YOUR belief, and spreading education where possible to the crypto uneducated.

Pigzbe digital wallet for children is something new and in demand, will be in the future! Incredibly, this is probably the only sale of tokens with a tangible reward!

Exactly! A brand new concept which both educates families about, and brings them into the wider space of, cryptocurrencies Cheesy a true innovation to help families and the space alike.

For anyone thinking about contributing, pigzbe recently tweeted that they're currently finalizing their private pre-sale with 25% discount on ICO price so you might want to think about jumping in now if you want to scoop the bonus

I hope Pigzbe will be listed at Kucoin and Binance, will you try to get this listed on those exchanges?

I think Binance will take some time Cheesy usually you have to be patient for a short while and progress from small exchange to bigger ones, but I'm sure the team are doing all they can on the exchange front.

Exciting to see which it will hit first!

Pigzbe is here to contribute to the building of an open, decentralised world where  financial education is accessible to anyone, anywhere. Our goal is to accelerate the  uptake of cryptocurrencies globally with a token, and a product, designed to  empower the young and young at heart.

Exactly! My kids are already obsessed with tech but I've struggled to help them to understand cryptocurrency so far, and here comes Pigzbe! Not only a useful but a noble project for the cause.

Let's wish that kids of this generation will learn how to use cryptocurrencies in a right now and teach them the value of holding money.

I think that will be one of the main important impacts of Pigzbe, but not just teaching the value of holding money but what money actually is. Most adults still think the paper notes in their hands are the only 'real' type of money and do not understand the real value of a currency. Think about the more open-minded and financially educated mindset this will bring for kids alone.

Introducing pigzbe to kids at a young age means teaching kids about finances and money management.. I never thought crypto projects can be so innovative... I love it

The whole point of crypto projects is to be innovative Cheesy

The main difference is that this is a real world innovation that the public will see personally, rather than some vague technical innovation which will not mean anything real to most people like most other projects.

Among the flood of ICO offerings Pigzbe has really stood out to me as one of the gems. Incredible real-world use cases and at heart a noble cause to expand the crypto community!

I too find it difficult to understand the correlation between blatantly ridiculous FUD and market conditions- it's like the entire market has no confidence so oversee this rubbish news! But not all are as strong-handed and many still watch the news as a credible source of unbiased information, unfortunately.

Re: Could Facebook and other corporations hijack the blockchain movement?
by

Facebook has played cleverly regarding crypto currencies. At first they banned the ads of crypto currency from facebook so that people doesn't get involve to it. Later on they themselves invented a crypto coin bacause they know how popular they are among people. So, they utilize this popularity and made a Facebook coin. Now, people will choose whether that would go to bitcoin the most popular crytp currency or Facebook currency which is much secured than others. I must say well played Facebook!

I agree- brilliant maneuvering on their part! I suppose the general crypto market would without doubt grow if Facebook did say introduce a Facebook coin, it would just be a shame to see one of the big giants be the ones to make crypto mainstream- and take a lot of the rewards for it.

Now that Facebook and other huge players are (and have been) acting to get involved in the blockchain movement, I am concerned that this might lead to a steady 'hijacking' of much of the crypto space, as these huge actors could potentially influence the growth of their own private blockchain solutions over existing public blockchain projects. We know the power over the media these players have, and their ability to induce hype or FUD.

What do you guys think? Is this anything to be concerned about?

there is not unless people will start supporting their blockchain projects too much at the expense of decentralization. I find it as a great news to seee the company like facebook joining the movement

That's what most concerns me- the VAST majority of people do not care one ounce about decentralisation, so when FB shows them their shiny new blockchain I think the hype and momentum there would be incredible.

I agree that more exposure is good for the blockchain movement overall, but it would be a shame to see some of the great decentralised current projects get displaced by corporate giants.

haha just waiting on mcdonalds to do the same and I'll be happy.

No THAT would be game changing- imagine the exposure to BTC, and also the many many big macs that can be bought when BTC moons Cheesy

But seriously, any way in which any chain introduces BTC payments is if nothing else exposure to a certain percentage of potential adopters who may have never been exposed to crypto before. Small bricks make big houses!

Re: what are the common challenges for bitcoin user?
by
Babbleingbrook
on 13/05/2018, 03:11:16 UTC
the only challenge that i can think of which really matters is adoption. and that is not something you can fix, it is something that is fixed on its own with time.
as time goes by more people find out about bitcoin and more of them start using it. some are merchants and some are users and they all make the ecosystem grow.

This.

Mass adoption is the biggest challenge facing crypto at the moment, in the face of the current FUD. As with most things I think the key to further adoption is EDUCATION- the more people understand how revolutionary this tech is, the more interest in the space. simple.

just curious why is there gas when banks send funds for free.

Well as others have said banks charge fees for a variety of transaction types, and also gas is an integral part of some blockchains e.g. ethereum as to prevent the spamming and overloading of the network.

Re: Will cryptos be so volatile forever?
by

When will we reach the state of more of less stable cryptocurrencies or it is in their nature and will never end?

Realistically nobody can possible know what will be in the future, but it is safe to assume that whilst remaining somewhat volatile due to its very nature that volatility will decrease once crypto becomes more popular and held more widely. The market is still small and relatively tiny!

This is very important to consider- I have only been part of this space for a short while now but already I am noticing how much FUD or false news impacts the market. Though it always comes back stronger generally it is extremely important that people do their own research and do not have weak hands in the face of FUD.
