Bitcoin is the most stable cryptocurrency. Other cryptocurrencies are highly volatile because their prices can go very high in a few minutes and nosedive in another few minutes. But we hardly experience such with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is when more stable than some fiat currencies and even my country's currency is more volatile than Bitcoin. I can say that Bitcoin is quasi-volatile

How true these words? I mean, what makes Bitcoin more volatile on Wednesday and less volatile on Saturday? This doesn't make sense since bitcoin exchanges are not closed 7 days a week.

Yes, this may be true in the forex exchanges, because it is closed on Saturday and Sunday. As for the cryptocurrency exchanges, I do not think that this is accurate.

I think "no control" is something that matters a lot in this regards.

A significant difference is the type of data nodes have and distribute. Your phone keeps records of YOUR calls, YOUR messages, and other history about you. Nodes process global data of everyone that interacts with the network.

And a lot of free space to store the blockchain data if you intend to run a full node. Alternatively, you can run a pruned node with much less needed disk space.

After going through the post and some replies, i see that including the "op" and some members support the motion that investments is the key to unlocking financial security.
They is a saying that goes thus; "if you want to be rich in life, invest/business, if you want to sustain your life, work for the government", to me, this is the much people needs to know about earning a lifestyle, then is left for them to pick which side they'll be on, because not everyone can withstand the rigor of investment.

You don't need to create a thread or write a quality article first before you can earn merit. Merit is given by different members for different purposes; all that's needed is to be yourself and be productive.
 
You can earn merit by just asking the right question, and you can also earn merit by just answering other people's questions and solving a problem.
 
Merit most often comes from places we might expect less of. What we think others might like and see as worthy of merit might have a different picture in their own view, so it's best to focus on being yourself rather than looking for ways to make a post that will earn your merit, as that might end up leading the person to nowhere. 

A NODE is a physical device such as the computer or a device of its equivalent that participates in the confirmation and storage of Bitcoin data. In essence, this is to mean that, any computer device that is used in Bitcoin confirmation and data storage is a node right?

Can someone please guide is it a good practice to start investing in Bitcoin in this upcoming January-2024?

I've read so many threads where people assert that they sold or intend to sell an asset just because they want to invest in Bitcoin, while this might present the person as someone who believes so much in Bitcoin and even went to the extent of selling an asset just to invest into it, is it the right thing to do?

I have attended a lot of business seminars and one of the key advice we receive most of the time is not to start up a business with borrowed money as it will put us under unnecessary pressure and the outcome doesn't always end up well and although selling an asset to start up a business or in this context, buying of bitcoin isn't directly borrowing, but it goes a long way to show how unprepared you are, venturing into that business.

And I guess this is the reason why a lot of people can't hold their bitcoin for a while before selling it off in times of minor challenges.

I still will want to reiterate that the idea of investment isn't for people with no source of income who have to start up their bitcoin investment journey with the money realized from the sell of an asset or even considering using a borrowed money, it won't let you to invest profitably and so I just want to advice all the newbie and old folks that intend accumulating bitcoin but that don't have a means of doing so now to work first In their personal lives and ensure that they get something going on in their lives before venturing into accumulating Bitcoin.

Remember that bitcointalk.com is not an office and so you should find other sources of income and then you will appreciate the forum and your holding will not become the nearest option to consider whenever an emergency sets in.

All these predictions are more pseudoscience to me.

Depends on how good you are at earning Bitcoin through work, and how much money can you invest. If you have only $1,000, you won't make a lot of profit, because Bitcoin won't increase in value by 100 times. Investing $1,000 is worth it, but it won't change your life. But doubling or trippling a larger sum like $50,000 or $100,000 is a good investing move.

As for earning, if you're earning more money with BTC than with fiat doing the same job, then go for Bitcoin jobs. Otherwise work for fiat and buy Bitcoin with your earnings.
