i could never understand how to compile / use this on ubuntu 16.04 ? i know it might be a stupid question, but could someone kindly write a simple full step by step how-to build on ubuntu 16.04? it will be very much appreciated
I'm running my rigs on ubuntu 16.04 and it's pretty straight forward with basic Linux know how. Don't have the spare time to write up a full how-to now but the basic steps as far as I remember are:
- download and install latest AMD SDK - download and install latest AMD PRO GRU driver - download zawawas miner from github - use "apt-get install" to clear sgminer dependencies (see readme) - bulid from source according to readme
If you run into troubles on the way I pretty sure someone here will help you figure it out

The devs work hard and put knowlege into the mining SW. So in my opinion they fully deserve the fee. I guess this is just another scam anyways and anybody stupid, greedy and short sighted enought to install such software deserves no better...

hmm... if I had a ton of CAIx and an AWS account I would probably set up a free tier instance and just let it stake for me... one could even call that cloudstaking
You're right about it's value. Very undervalued for a 1.5~1.65m supply coin. But it's in need of a good dev who has the time to take it on. The wallet could do with an overhaul. Sometimess I think it'd be easier to start a new coin and do a coin-swap.
Pieter has access to the ann thread I believe. We should probably close this thread and start a fresh one.
It somewhat feels wrong to ditch a perfectly fine POS coin... after we got over the little hickup the blocks just keep coming like charm The wallet could probably do with some updates but the design of the UI is nice and clean, actually pretty neat compared to most other altcoins I have come across.
I'd agree regarding the new thread - let me know if I can support you with anything.

From technology point of view CAIx imho got great potential and is undervalued i.e. in comparison to BlackCoin...
BTW I noticed some of the links and images of this threads first post are broken, any chance of giving it an overhaul?

I've sent a request to Cryptsy yesterday asking if they would help us get the network moving again... I must say, I'm amazed how fast they responded and enabled staking on their wallet

Hello xxxx
I am sorry to hear about the unfortunate situation. I hope everything works out an they get their coins back. We only keep a small portion in the hot wallet but for now I have enabled staking on it. Ill keep an eye on it and may have to shut it down if it becomes too slow. But I dont think that will be an issue.
Good luck with everything

The network seems to be moving pretty smoothly for now, hope it stays that way.

Another 2k masternode holder here still awaiting the node payment. Have just sent Stuhlman a DM with all the details again and hope the payment will be processed soon. I agree with others on here that having held throughout June for the duration of the price decline, well, feeling like a bit of a sucker right now to put it mildly... Whether or not I receive the payment will probably determine whether I continue to hold my 2k CAIx
Same here, also sent PM to Stuhlman including all details last week already, nothing yet... hope this is just a delay due to high workload
As I've said before, while I've been suspicious about CAIx in the past, the fact this node payment DID happen, and at the exact point that all devs could've just pulled a disappearing act, makes me believe in a longer term commitment. People now think Stuhlman and co have abandoned ship - my question to those people is, why pay 14 BTC to people before abandoning the coin? If it was a scam, no money would've been paid prior to the 'silence'.
CAIx is dirt cheap right now. Even if you're unsure, just buy some and hold - with 1.6 million supply, it won't take much (at these prices) for supply to dry up when the PSP hits. Even with one Titan.
CAIx has at least one more huge spike/pump left in it. Just don't expect it to happen until late August/September.
I'm happy to hold, and micro buy at cheap prices in the meantime.
good to hear that payment is actually happening, anyway I'm still waiting for my 2k nodes payout... Sure it's not much but still I think I deserve my part of the share for holding and staking during the month of june
Took the easy gains first, around 18% boost on 750 Ti. Still trying to wrap my head around the hard part.
Will upload a win32 binary later, got something to do right now.
nice, this release pushed my ubuntu rig from ~220H/s per card to ~260H/s - gigabyte 750ti.
Thx, appreciate your work

@virtuallann: you might want to remove that signature from your profile to avoid confusion, since you're no longer member of the CAIx Foundation after your dramatic public resign.
