Re: BNB reached $200

I bought BNB at $237.

No regrets I believe BNB will take market share from ETH and rise much higher.

Not to mention the hard cap on supply and coming burns.   BNB will fly.

The reason why it slowly dying is because of Charlie Lee public declaration of selling all his holding and major investors decided to sell their holding either to avoid exit scam since the coin creator decided to sell his holding.

Charlie sold to avoid any appearance of having a conflict of interest.  Not only that, he told everyone he was going to sell and why.   It is ridiculous to say otherwise considering he has remained working on the coin for years.

Exit scam lol ridiculous.  Try integrity.  He cared more about protecting the integrity of the coin that the fortune he was sure to make if he held until the $1000 USD plus we will surely top.

I’m sure Grayscale would have a fund with hundred million invested dedicated to Litecoin for “an exit scam”.  Such comments display ignorance and spread FUD.

Let’s take a look at the LTC/BTC pair. The chart below shows the current LTC/BTC price in yellow with the previous LTCBTC cycle (2013-2017) overlaid. If the cycles continues I expect a 4-5x rise against bitcoin in the next couple of months.

I disagree on your assessment of Litecoin utility in terms of it being a gamble.

Litecoin's value proposition:
High liquidity & on every exchange
number 2 supported on ATMs
350m @PayPal users
$104m @Grayscale LTCN trust
99% Scrypt hashrate dominance
MWEB fungibility/privacy
Low fees & fast txns
$500b+ value transferred
9+ years w/ zero downtime

There also appears to be a cycle to Litecoin as outlined here:  https://mastercryptosignals.substack.com/p/master-crypto-signals-issue-6

While the future isnt always the same is does often rhyme.

What I can see is also the same with major altcoins, just like Ethereum. If you compare the all-time-high of Litecoin when Bitcoin reached it's all-time-high last 2017. It's total different this time, Litecoin still in loss at around 60%+.
That's why I can say is there's still a lot more room to pump if ever we will visit again the all-time-high. But be careful this time since if Bitcoin is dumping Litecoin too, so it's kinda difficult to reach the ATH in a short period of time.

I like this article on the topic:  https://mastercryptosignals.substack.com/p/master-crypto-signals-issue-6

Assuming he is right Litecoin should pump soon on the ratio.

yes, I hope bitcoin dominance can drop to 60%. This would be good not only for Litecoin but all the altcoins on the market would be affected. Currently LTC is in a good condition. and if bitcoin stops rising. This will be a great opportunity for Litecoin to return to ATH.

The current spike was resulted solely from Bitcoin and the altcoins don't have any role in the bull run. And this is the reason why the Bitcoin dominance rose from 57% to 68% in less than three months. I won't be surprised if the Bitcoin dominance increases to 80% or above in the next few months. Altcoins survived for so long, but their time is up. Users don't want to invest in coins without real usage.

If BTC goes X 4 to 100,000 USD this bull run cycle (very plausible imho) and the LTC/BTCratio stays the same as RIGHT NOW at 200 LTC = 1 BTC that puts LTC at $500 USD a coin

Using same target assumption that 1 BTC = $100,000 USD
At 151 LTC for 1 BTC = $662 USD per coin
At 125 LTC for 1 BTC = $800 USD per coin
At 100 LTC for 1 BTC = $1000 USD per coin
At 60 LTC for 1 BTC = $1666 USD per coin

Look again at the average LTC/BTC ratios since 2011 - https://imgur.com/a/9sdxuON

LTC has been WAY under the current 200 ratio for the vast majority of the coins history.
If you believe BTC will crest $100,000 USD this cycle we are looking at worst $500 USD a LTC and much much better if the ratio improves.

The only caveat is that if the ratio gets much worse. But again, history of the ratio says that is unlikely. If anything LTC is at a historically high ratio and it’s about to improve.

I bought at 26.  Almost 140 today.

This thread should be on page 1, LTC is carrying the alt market right now, including daddy BTC.

2019 is the year of LTC with close to X 6 gains for those who bought in the winter and more to come.  The LTC/BTC ratio sits at 57 and falling.

THIS is the alt coin of 2019.

LTC is a very safe bet imho.

A bunch of money from multiple coins will flow into LTC pre Halving which should explode the price.  Just be aware that post Halving a lot of that money will flow back out as people convert back to BTC.

Long term though, I still think even after a post Halving dump, LTC will eventually reach even bigger highs.

Re: Litecoin halvening price speculation?
by

I have a bag of LTC. I am thinking about selling BEFORE the halvening. My target is like $220.
I plan to dump to BTC. Because ultimately I want more bitcoin, and altcoins are just a way of getting there.

When would you sell LTC with regard to the August halvening?
What use price seems reasonable? I’m thinking $200 range if achieved.
I am usually quite confused about this halving sometimes, despite the little knowledge I have about its reward, some people believed this is the time price of such coin goes up, but from your point, seems you believe the price will go down, if not, why would you be selling before halving when you are supposed continue holding till after halving when the price will skyrocket.

Well, I am not an holdler of LTC so it would not really be a bad idea to me if you sell your LTC to bitcoin because whatever action you take as regards bitcoin investment will definitely ay you more than any action you take in LTC.

You are correct.  The price will probably pump just before the halving based on FOMO, then dump right after -- HOWEVER -- with the supply cut, it's only a matter of time before the price skyrockets again to reflect the new reality of less supply.  So I think HODLING for 7 - 8 months after the LTC Halving is the smart play then converting to BTC once the LTC/BTC ratio has improved.

Check out this article here:  https://www.reddit.com/r/LitecoinMarkets/comments/ba5qfq/interesting_article_looking_at_btc_halving_price/

It's BTC oriented but definitely applies to LTC.

Litecoin is going to the moon.  The same deflation principles baked into BTC are baked into LTC.  LTC is one deflation cycle behind BTC (one Halving behind BTC).  So it’s VERY likely the LTC ratio (to BTC) will increase once LTC Halving occurs.  Both LTC and BTC will be at the same rate of deflation for 1 year meaning LTC ratio to BTC will likely go way up.

That will give a one year window to convert to BTC for the BTC Halving in 2020.

There is no doubt LTC will climb working hand in hand with King BTC.

The next time BTC moons, expect LTC to moon with it.  Additionally it's very likely we will continue to see the LTC to BTC ratio improve -- LTC is massively undervalued right now.  As others have said there isn't enough BTC for every millionaire in the world to own one.  Nor is there enough LTC, however, if BTC becomes cost prohibitive to even the rich, it makes sense that they will diversify into another similar coin.  LTC has bright days ahead of it.

I have been buying LTC as much as I can every two weeks since the start of August.  I only hope that the price stays flat for at least a few more months.

I like the idea of owning a "whole" coin as opposed to BTC where my money will only get me fractions of a coin.  I realize this is psychological but I really do feel better owning multiple "whole" coins.

I think the upside potential on LTC is pretty good because I believe in BTC.  LTC has consistently followed every BTC pump.   Last time BTC went to 19000 and LTC jumped to 360 or so.  What do you think will happen to the price of LTC if BTC jumps to 50k or even 100k several years from now?  Assuming the LTC/BTC ratio holds, you are looking at anything from $1000 - $2000 a coin.   Possibly more as the LTC halvening is next year.

For me it's always been -- do I believe in BTC?  If yes I think LTC is a VERY safe bet and one that will produce huge profits.

I truly believe that many of us will look back at $57 USD LTC the same way that BTC HODLERS look back at $100 BTC.  I was around in 2014 and still kick myself I didn't buy BTC during the craze back then.  Even after the market fell in 2014 I should have stayed in.

I won't make that mistake again with LTC.

I think Litecoin is a good bet.  At $66 a coin it is vastly undervalued and it has liquidity, volume, and generally follows btc.
