Re: Official FutureBit Moonlander 2 Driver and Support Thread

sorry had a bad night thanks for the response, same architecture as a pi really was hoping some pi users were about

here's a raspi user, currently driving 3 moonlander2 and an old rpi2 for bfgminer off a 'rather pricey' and very powerful USB hub at 796, above they become unstable in a rather unpredictable way. i suspect the usb WLAN dongle i have to use in my setup as a part of the problem - i think i read about USB bus saturation being a possible problem SOMEWHERE, but didn't debug in this direction any further yet...

anyways, the basic setup worked like a breeze. plug your MLDs in, run bfgminer as described in a lot of places, watch your MLDs have fun. however 9 more moonlanders are on their way to me, and i am eager to see if i can drive all i then have reliably with a bunch of hubs and one rpi3, which will eliminate the need of a seperate dongle.

considering that could actually fail, i have a bunch of rpi2 around, and a bananapi routerboard (BPI-R1). i'm kinda sure i'll find a way to make it work reliably, somehow.

sweet, i might be slightly better off as the odroid is usb 3, I'm looking at this hub:

https://www.scan.co.uk/products/icybox-ib-ac6702-7-port-usb-30-hub-7-charging-ports-led-amp-digital-display?v=c

I'm worried about this line though:
Quote
The USB 3.0 ports on this hub are special because all of them can load any connected mobile devices with up to 2.4 A. The intelligent chipset determines the best charging rate for all models.

[edit]

found some cheaper hubs from a company called orico claim 36 watt on a 10 port, 12v 3a psu

There's a better deal... 13 port ones... 60W 2.1 A per port. Fits 7 MLDs at 700MHz

Checking in, I just leave them alone and let them do their thing. Still rock solid on the 4 Anker hubs.   Smiley

Great stability. How high you got in freq and Vcore? And temps?

Goodmorning everyone,

I have a problem with my moonlander2.

I started my experience with a single moonlander2 with a powered usb hub and a raspberry and everything worked great with a frequency of 756

I bought a second moonlander2 and the problems started Sad

they worked for 10/20 minutes, then one of them stopped working and the second one gives me this error every two minutes

 [2018-03-06 11:15:59] Accepted 00962c3f MLD 0  Diff 6m/3m
[2018-03-06 11:16:33] MLD 0: ASIC has stopped hashing, attempting to restart
 [2018-03-06 11:16:35] Accepted 00582543 MLD 0  Diff 11m/3m

is there any command or tools to figure out if it is ruined or resurrect the second moonlander2?

Sad a bad Tuesday

That sounds like a power problem. How much your hub can provide per port and total on all ports? You need to know that, otherwise it will be hard to troubleshoot.

Damn, I rented  rig and started mining xgtc. First 24 hours were smooth but after that I am having issue in mining. My rented rig could not connect to the server and i have lost some money there. Cause my rented rig was idle. After 12 hours (I think) I was able to start mining again and after a while, I faced same issue. Yiimp pool is also not working. But it seems lpool is also having issue

You can always support directly on a wallet... mining directly over a wallet you own. You give both the network peers to hold on to, and you get rewarded in case you find blocks.

Note: lpool is having a hard time I guess =)

Yes that is the current version, the block explorer is available at http://yiimp.l8nit3-miners.com/explorer to check current block height.

I will be contacting coinexchange.io this evening after work. The issue was that the explorer was down, and to be safe and ensure that all coins were also safe, the exchange put the wallet in maintenance mode.

Also over the next few days, I will be working on and putting Girlstoken.org back online, and am still working hard on the 3.0 wallet myself as talks with other devs are on hold at this point. (many wanted to inflate price after quote, or had no idea what multialgo was)

The pool has been running and paying out quite stable now ,however as changes are made ( both to the pool and to XGTC) it is ALWAYS recommended to have backup pools setup  in case of connection issues... even if those backups are other coins. This ensures you always get your moneys worth with a rental.

Faster hardware I could have guessed for myself, and I doubt that ext4 vs NTFS will make much of a difference.
None of other coin wallets take this much time starting up, should get priority to be fixed if all users of ECC have this issue.

Check people on the slack channel if you seek any help. Here is harder to troubleshoot things.

Also, you can open a GitHub ticket if you have not done so already.

Hi, is there a way to speed up starting the daemon, loading block index takes more then 30min everytime I startup the wallet.

If you use an SSD it will be faster. Also it helps if you use Linux instead of Windows. =)

Hey everyone,

It is time for a quick development update about the daemon. Most of the updates that will be put out in the next daemon release are bug fixes that have been requested since the last update. We have also been working on getting the wallet to open faster. I have upgraded the code that loads the blocks off of the disk to the latest code used in BTC. so that should help a bit.

We have also successfully implemented a lot of the new chain, service, and network managers that are essential to the service networks that will be coming to ECC. a new testnet for ANS will be opening soon so testing can begin. I will make a separate announcement for that when it is time.

With the new services being released soon, the team is also working on building a new UI interface for the coin (Lynx will still be available if desired) . We have also been working on the design document for ECC and the new website.

I know it hasn't seemed like a lot of stuff has been happening lately but thats only because a lot of it is behind the scenes in preparation for big development debuts.

Thanks for your continued support,
Griffith

=) People... will like you so much... and some others not... as usual. But you will be (and are) a leader. A dedicated one... but a great one.

I paid from my small pocket to list LCP on https://coinsmarkets.com
Please feel free to trade on this new market.

Good initiative!

And by the looks of it, nothing at all changed.

Might that we will have 3 exchanges in the near future... NovaExhcange (if they come back), Cryptopia (once it gets processed) and the active one https://coinsmarkets.com/trade-BTC-LCP.htm

Back to my stuff...  Cool

hey BarTeam - how is it going?
just wanted to hear your thought on LCP so far.

It seems to be going well at my end.

block reward dropped to 1.75 LCP

Block explorer shows 18 connections.
seed node shows 19 connections

Nova shows 24h Volume: 0.161 BTC
and buy offer price of 0.00001400 btc

And we haven't done any advertising yet!

I started a LitecoinPlus Discord if anybody wants to join:
https://discord.gg/vfqj4vF

and a twitter account
http://twitter.com/Media_LCP

thinking it might be time to go about uping our game  Smiley

Looks stable and people's mining power didn't cause that much of instability with PoS system. So feels really good.

I wonder if now would be a good time to start doing some more plans. The best plan has to involve team stability in my view. Even if the price drops quite a bit.
agreed. I can't do it all on my own.
There are a couple of people in Discord involved already, helping with PR stuff, looking into exchanges to get listed on.
you should join Discord and check in from time to time. We can add you to the dev team.  Smiley

I am there... Good point for discussion. I will try to help, from there.

What is Litecoin Plus

Is it like Bitcoin?

Its a PoW coin. Like Bitcoin yes.

But it also implements PoS (Proof of Stake). NOT like Bitcoin. Much more efficient.

just a reminder:
after block 417,000 pow reward will drop to 1.75 LCP

That is right... price should, therefore, increase a bit more... and mining too.

It's being stable rock solid.

Ah,
I have solved the database sluggish problem. By using the non-GUI daemon. Its the Qt that is hanging the faster C++ code behind.

I have managed to get through a wallet with more 100k transactions. So, for me, solved.

I just use the command line:
litecoinplusd getinfo
litecoinplusd sendtoaddress LSpiderfWYj3yFko4RksGC9XXxDASM8d5o 20

Yep, I was trying to say if you had somehow separated the CLI code from the daemon. But it looks that not.

Anyway, thanks for the replies.

Hey Spider,

What do you use as a client to interact with litecoinplusd as an RPC client?
I am not understanding your question.
on my linux boxes I use the command line ?

I mean, when you launch the daemon version (not the GUI version), you can communicate with the daemon via LiteCoinPlus RPC port using JSON.

Examples: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/API_reference_(JSON-RPC)

I was just curious if you were using something special. Old codes used to have a CLI version of the binary (which is somehow the console code).

Cheers

Lovely and promising project! I'll join the boat

Would be great to have people joining the Boat of developers. LCP needs developers/testers...

Are you able to help here?
If not, can you reference anyone?
